It will  be useful to say a few lines about this couple. Mr,A. John Selvaraj, M.A, after having passed his M.A , he joined the Madras Port Trust and worked for many years and retired as Deputy Traffic Manager . Mrs Sylvia Janet Marybai belonged to the First batch of Lady Doak College Madurai 1948 Intermediate. Class. . Mrs Sylvia Janet  Marybai pursued  her B.SC[ Home Science] at Women's Christian College Chennai and after having passed her B.Sc[ Home Science] she did her B.T at  St. Christopher's Teacher's Training College ,Chennai and after having worked as a  Teacher for many years at the St. Thomas Hr Secondary School , St.Thomas Mount she retired as an Assistant Head Mistress.

Dr. Vasanthi Vijayakumar'  Sibling  :  Mr. John Selvaraj and Mrs Sylvia Janet Marybai couple gave birth to the following  children namely;-[1] Mr. David Selvaraj and he gave birth to a son by name Mr. Emmanuel. Mr.David Selvarj is not alive now .While Mr David Selvaraj  was alive he worked as Organist at the C.S.I ,Wesley Church, at St Thomas Mount and [2] Ms Dr Vasanthi Vijayakumar [ The Heroine of this Article ]

Dr. Vasanthi Vijayakumar's Educational Track       :  Dr. Vasanthi Vijayakumar pursued  her School education at the famous St Dominic Convent [ Now, St Dominic Anglo Indian Hr Secondary School, St Thomas Mount, Chennai]at St. Thomas Mount .After having passed her S.S.LC  she did her P.U.C. at the Women's Christian College Chennai and  after her P.U.C., she did her B.A [ History] at the same Women's Christian College Chennai and passed her B.A[ History ]in First Class in 1980.. She pursued her M.A[ History] at the prestigious  Madras Christian College, Tambaram, Chennai  and passed her M.A[ History ]in 1982 as an Outstanding Student . Dr. Vasanthi Vijayakumar did her M.Phil on the Title, " Crime and Punishment in Madras ' at M.C.C. D.Th[ Serampore] was appointed as the First Executive Director of the  Lutheran World Service India Trust [ LWSIT] on August 2009  and he discharged his official duties [ 2009-2015]with commitment and compassion .The goal  of LWSIT , is ," Enhanced dignity of lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in India " and "Justice and Dignity for all," . Dr. Mathumitha married Mr. Abel Roney Thomas, M.A,[Capegemini]  and this couple's son Mr. Jeremiah Isaac is doing his VI  Standard, [2]  Mr. Mithun Isaac Vijayakumar , B.E,[ I.T], M.S[ Environment and Sustainable Development], U.K, and he married Ms Pauline Mithun, BPT and and this couple's son Mr. Nathan Abhishek is three years old now. 

Dr. Vasanthi Vijayakumar's Professional Track    :  Dr. Vasanthi Vijayakuamr had the privilege to serve as Associate Professor at her Alma mater, Madras Christian College, Tambaram from 1986 to 2016 with distinction . She also worked as the Head of the History department of M.C.C, from 2016 to 2018  with great commitment and efficacy.  Dr. Vasanthi Vijayakumar leveraged and led a Comprehensive  Work- ethic in the department of History, M.C.C from 1986 -2018 and she ensured holistic development of the students and staff with a strong focus on  good value system . On her retirement from M.C.C Dr. Vasanthi Vijayakumar was appointed as Principal of CSI Ewart Women's Christian College, Chengalepattu and she served as Principal of CSI Ewart Women's Christian College with dignity, distinction and efficacy and won the love and respect of the students, staff and the public. Dr Vasanthi Vijayakumar  helmed  the CSI Ewart Women's Christian College  as Principal from 2018 through May 2022 and she created an inspiring vision for the future by mentoring her colleagues to focus on the vision and she built leaders to achieve that Vision she encouraged her Students to translate their learning and knowledge into action to bring about a Transformation in the community .

Mr. Paul Helfins' Siblings    :  Mr. Daniel Swaminathan Couple gave birth to the following children namely ;-[1] Mr. S. Arul Manoharan, and he married Ms N. Gnanam and he worked in I.C.L.as an Administrative Staff and his wife Ms Gnanam Manoharan worked in the Indian Army as a Military Nurse . Mr Arul Manoharan and Ms Gnanam couple is blessed with one son by name Mr Reuben Manoharan , B.C.S, and he is the Founder of H2O Technology Pvt Ltd , it has branches in Pune and Goa. Mr Reuben Manoharan has married Ms. Freeda who worked in the Indian Army as a Military Nurse and currently Ms.Freeda is working in an International School in Pune, [2] Mr. S.Allan Henry, B.Sc[ Chemistry], he  worked in the prestigious Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Tarapur [BARC}as a Scientific Assistant for 9 years and he left this job on personal grounds. Tamil Nadu . A Scientific Officer in BARC  holds a key role in various scientific and technical activities related to Nuclear Research Development and Applications. As a Scientific Officer Mr. Paul Helfins discharged his functions and duties with great devotion and efficacy and he was  getting his official due promotions regularly  and in the year 2018 Mr Paul Helfins was promoted as Scientific Officer- H- . After having served the BARC for many years with great enthusiasm, curiosity, scientific aptitude,  and efficacy he retired from B.A.R.C  on 31st July 2021 .

Mr. D. Monicka Raj was a native of Zion Puram in K.K. Dist and he was a free lance Christian Evangelist and  he went to Srilanka and worked as Head Clerk in a Tea Estate in Ceylon for many years and returned to India . Ms Mercy Raj was a native of Gnanpuram in K.K.Dist and she was a sister of the great Theologian and  former President of the Senate of Serampore University Dr. Gnana Robinson, B.Sc, B.D, M.Th, S.T.M,USA]  D.Th [Germany] .

Dr. Yesumithran's Parents and his Birth        : It is always a blessing to have blessed and God fearing parents and Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa, the hero of this Article, is really blessed to have blessed and God fearing parents.from historical Christian families   Some decades ago there lived a famous Medical Doctor in Madurai, Tamil Nadu  by name Dr. Ebenezer Sunderraj Chellappa, M.B.B.S, F.R.C.S[Ed, UK] , and he served as the first Indian Medical  Superintendent of Christian Mission Hospital in Madurai for nearly three decades [ 1938- 1967]. Dr. Ebenezer Sunderaraj Chellappa and his smart wife Mrs. Mercy Sonabi Chellappa. B.A, [the only daughter of Mr. A.J. Shaffter and Mrs Arulammal of , Nagercoil..and Mrs. Mercy Sonabai Chellappa after her marriage ,had the privilege to work as Correspondent of the School for Deaf at Manamadurai] couple gave birth to Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa on 12th April 1944.  It would be useful to remember one fact here that Mr. A.J. Schaffter's brother Mr. J.T. Ambrose married Ms Luisa and Ms Luisa and Ms Arullammal Schaffter were siblings and Mrs Luisa Ambrose was the maternal  grandmother of the world famous Pianist Padma Sri. Dr. Yesu Mithran Chellappa's Educational  Track   :  Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa did 1st and 2nd Classes at the St Joseph's Convent, Madurai  and 3rd to 5th class at the St Mary's Boys High School , Madurai . He did his High School education up to S.S.L.C. at the O.C.PM,  High School, Madurai. After having passed his S.S.L.C, Dr. Yesumithran did his P.U.C. at the famous American College , Madurai,.  Then he pursued his B.Sc[ Zoology] at the famous Thiyagarajar College , Madurai and while he was doing his B.Sc final year in 1969 Dr. Yesumithran discontinued his studies and went to Zimbabwe to join with his father Dr. Ebenezer S. Chellappa, F.R.C.S. . In Zimbawe  Dr. Yesumithran  studied Anatomy and Physiology and then he pursued his M.B.B.S. at the famous Kilpauk Government Medical College, Chennai and passed his M.B.B.S. in 1978. . Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa did his House Surgency Training at the Erskine Government Hospital [ Now Rajaji Govt Hospital ], Madurai .

Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa's  Wife and Son        :  Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa  married Ms Dr. Mary Ranjini, M.B.B.S,  daughter of Rev. J. Jacob kumaresan and Mrs. Mary Ponniah,  on 27th December , 1976. .Ms. Mary Ranjini hails from an illustrious Christian family from Tamil Nadu. Dr. Mary Ranjini 's maternal grandfather Dr. Solomon Ponniah worked in the CMC, Vellore as a medical doctor and he was a colleague and close friend of Dr. Ida  Sophia Scudder, the Founder of CMC.  Ms. Mary Ranjini did her M.B.B.S. at the famous Madras Medical College, Chennai . After having worked in some Hospitals in Africa she moved to USA and  worked as a Coordinator at the  Geneva Foundation  from 1st April 2007 to 15th January 2015  and currently works as a Research Associate at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre, Maryland, U.S, from 25th January 2015 till date. . Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa and Mrs. Dr. Mary Ranjini Chellappa gave birth to a son by name Mr. Emmanuel Chellappa.

Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa's Professional Track   : After having successfully completed his MBBS  Internship , Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa got a job appointment in the Ministry of Health, Govt of Zimbabwe  and so he went to Zimbabwe   and worked in Zimbabwe  as a Medical Doctor for  many years and then in South Africa and finally in USA .In the year 1985 Dr. Yesumithran  was appointed as a Medical officer for Alaska Copper Mine in Zimbabwe, 100 miles from HARARE the capital. On his first day  Dr Yesumithran went into a Mine Village to buy some food for himself .  He saw a native young Zimbawe guy called CHENJEERAI  outside the shop with a padded elbow palm and knees crawling  to move furtherinstantly Dr Mithran's mind was filled with compassion for the pathetic crawling guy and he decided to help him. Within three days Z$ 3000 = was collected as donation from four non Christian Business men to import a Tri Cycle from South Africa for  Chenjeerai . A tricycle was imported and presented to Chenjeerai and Chenjeerai learned to  operate the Tri Cycle quickly and started to move from place to place on his new Tri-Cycle .   Later  Dr. Yesumithran  was appointed as Chief Medical officer for Anglo American Union Carbide and Lonrho Groups of Chrome and Gold Mines at a town called Mutorashanga .In the year 1989 when Dr Mithran was getting ready to move to south Africa in two days for good, the Nurses of his Clinic called Dr. Mithran and told him that a Visitor has landed to say good bye to him . Dr Mithran was excited  beyond words to see Mr. Chenjeerai who with great hardship managed to crawl into  a Bus and travelled 100 miles to see and say goodbye to Dr. Mithran who helped him  some years ago . On seeing Mr Chenjeerai , Dr. Mithran's heart brimmed with spontaneous joy. By his dedicated medical service in Zimbabwe Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa  won the goodwill and appreciation of Mrs. Robert Mugabe the first Lady of Zimbabwe.  Dr. Yesumithran got a job in South Africa and so he moved to Germinston city in  South Africa .Germinston is a beautiful city located in the East Rand region of Gauteng Province of South Africa and East Rand is known as the transport  hub of Johansburg .  Dr. Yesumithran worked as  TB/ HIV/ AIDS  Control Manager in Germinston City [ City of Gold Mines]   In Germinston City Council ,  14 Clinic Waitress were working under Dr. Yesumithran .  TB , HIV, AIDS easily affected the workers who worked in the Copper Mines and Dr. Mithran did sincere medical service to control these dangerous diseases . Apart from medical service Dr. Mithran Chellappa  did valuable and laudable help to the people who sought his help. it is not possible to cover all those chapters in this Article  . Actually Dr. Yesumithran deserves a detailed biography to record all the Good Samaritan activities and humanitarian medical service rendered by him in Zimbabwe and South Africa. . 

 

Conclusion      : After having worked in Zimbabwe and South Africa for many years , Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa wanted to settle in USA like his siblings, and so he moved to USA from South Africa. Dr. Yesumithran  joined the American Red Cross Society and served the people of USA through the Red Cross Society. He loves not only fellow human-beings, but also Plants and Animals  While he was serving as a Medical Doctor in South Africa ,he even got an opportunity to meet the then President of South Africa Mr Nelson Mandala at Soweto town and to have a chat with him about the various medical schemes implemented in South Africa.  Dr. Yesumithran played a vital role in the Campaign against Child Sexual Abuse  in  Zimbabwe and South Africa.  He is a Good Samaritan and he never hesitated to help the helpless people who sought his help. He is very bold also and  .he never hesitated to meet high Govt officials and influential people for the cause of justice and for the sake of voiceless people . He is very simple, unassuming, and he is a practising Christian . He loves his wife Dr. Mary Ranjini Chellappa and his beloved son Emmanuel Chellappa and he is very proud of his famous  brother and great Musician late Dr. Anand Chellappa. He is proud of his paternal and maternal families and their heritage.  It is not possible to accommodate all the real life story of  Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa within the space of this Article and so I will end this Article with the  following sentence , " Dear Dr. Yesumithran Chellappa , we are proud of you and thank God for you, and really you are a Good Samaritan , God bless you and your family "

Moses Billy Graham and his siblings and their children will  galvanise the youth from rural and ordinary background with new hope  to pursue their higher educations in the best universities of the  world.  Currently he works as a Missions and Ministries Worker of the Kentucky Ministries network in USA   with a clear vision and mission.  As a Mission and Ministries Worker and he meets the  people  both inside and outside the Church and teaches the gospel message of Christ to the people to live a meaningful life and fruitful and hopeful life. It will be appropriate to remember an important  fact that Dr. J. Moses Billy Graham and his two brothers have chosen the Christian ministry as their profession and mission of their life. Dr. J.
