Introduction   ;  Late Mr . N. Manuel Dhas was a colourful multifaceted personality .He was a great Educationist , Teacher, Speaker, Writer, Translator and Social Thinker. He is an unsung hero and his unsung story  is dispatched to the readers through  this Article . He was an enviable English teacher and  and a remarkable Speaker both in English and Tamil . His real life story and his accomplishment in the  field of Education, Teaching and Social Work, will galvanise the Readers with new intellectual grit and stamina to  reach higher heights in life  and to live a meaningful life.

Mr. N. Manuel Dhas's Parents and Birth    :  Palkulam is a beautiful village  surrounded by paddy fields and coconut trees, situated near Thengamputhur village in Agasteeswaram taluk,  Kanyakumari district. .Many decades ago there lived a gentleman by name  Mr Subban and he gave birth to Mr Madan and he gave birth to Mr  M. Nallathambi . Mr M.Nallathambi was a flourishing farmer and he was a close friend of the great Tamil Scholar Sri. Sasthankutti Pillai of Thengampudur. Mr M. Nallathambi lived happily with his beloved wife by name  Ms kanagammal . God blessed Mr. M.. Nallathambi and Ms kanagammal Nallathambi couple with all  the connubial blessings and this couple gave birth to Mr Mauel Dhas  on the 1st January 1927. 

Mr. Manuel Dhas' Siblings   : Mr. M. Nallathambi and Ms kanagammal Nallathambi couple gave birth to the following children  ;-[1] Mr. N. Manuel Dhas, B.A, B.T, [ The Hero of this Article], [2] Mr. Babu Prabhu Dhas , B.Sc, B.Ed and he married Ms Annal and she worked and retired as the Nursing Superintendent , Bethestha Hospital [ I.E.L.C, Ambur Synod ] . Mr N. Babu Prabhudhas and Ms Annal Babu Prabhudhas couple gave birth to the  following children namely ;-[a] Ms. B. Helen kanagarani , B.Sc, B.Ed, and she worked at the Concordia Higher Secondary School Vaniyambadi as a  B.T  Assistant and retired from teaching service.. Ms. Helen kanagarani married Mr Deva Anbu , M.Sc, B.Ed and he worked  as a P.G. Assistant in the Concordia Higher Secondary School Vaniyambadi and retired as Head Master of this School . Mr Deva Anbu was an influential IELC Member in the Ambur Synod [ I.E.L.C,] , [b] Mr  D. Samson Nallathambi, B.E  and he worked at the famous Neyveli Lignite Corporation and retired as an Executive Engineer. Mr D. Samson  Nallathambi married Ms Sheila , B.Sc [ Home maker]  and [c] Ms.Sylvia Snehalatha and she  worked as a Staff Nurse in a Private Hospital at Ranipet and she married Mr Solomon. 

Mr. N. Manuel Dhas's Educational Track    :  Mr. N. Manuel Dhas did his High School studies at the famous Scott Christian High School, Nagercoil, and after having passed his S.S.L.C. examination, he did his Intermediate Junior and Senior studies at the famous Scott Christian College , Nagercoil . After having passed his Intermediate Senior with good marks Mr. N. Manuel Dhas pursued his B.A [ History ] at the famous St Xaviers College Palayam Kottai . and it will be useful to remember a  fact that former Professor of English, Scott Christian College Nagercoil late Prof A.J. Franklin was one of  the Classmates of Mr. N. Manuel Dhas at the St Xaviers College Palayam Kottai . Mr N. Manuel Dhas passed his B.A[ History] with high marks and pursued his B.T. in a Teacher's Training College at Quilon, Kerala State.  . 

Mr. N. Manuel Dhas'  Wedding    :  Mr. N. Manuel Dhas  married  Ms. V. Baulammal,  daughter of Mr Vethakkan .in the year 1946  It is useful to remember that Ms Baulammal studied up to S.S.L.C. in the famous Duthie  Girls High School, Nagercoil .

Mr. N. Manuel Dhas's Children and  their Families :    Mr N. Manuel Dhas and Ms Baulammal Manuel Dhas couple were blessed with all the conjugal blessings and this couple gave birth to the  following children namely :-

[1] Ms. Padmini and this female child died  when she was a four years old;

[2] Mr. Kanaga Sabapathy, B.Sc,  and he married Ms V. Vethamony , B,Sc, . Mr kanagasabapathy  worked for many years in various positions in the Revenue Department, Govt of Tamil Nadu and retired as a Deputy Collector [ Tuticorin Dist] and Ms V. Vethamony Kanagasabapathy retired as a Superintendent, Social Welfare Department, Govt of Tamil Nadu. Mr kanagasabapathy and Ms V. Vethamony  Kanagasabapathy couple gave birth to the following children namely ;- [a]  Ms..K. Mathubala , B.Sc, M.C.A , and she is working as a Software  Engineer at the famous Wipro Company for more than two decades . Ms.K. Mathubala married Mr.Sunder Singh , M.Sc[ Computer Science] and he works as a Software Engineer in a listed Software Company.  This couple gave birth to a son by name Mr. Rohit and he  is doing his second year M.B.B.S. in a reputed Medical College in Pondichery ,[b] Mr. K. Jegathish Premnath, M.Sc[ Computer Science] and he works as Software Engineer in the famous Mindtree Limited. Mr Jegathish Premnath married Ms Freeda , B.E, and this couple is blessed with one cute daughter, [c] Ms.K. Anitha Nesakumari, M.C.A, and she is working as a Software Engineer in a reputed Software company in Bangalore and she married Mr Ramiah Varatharajan, B.E and he is working as a Senior Engineer in the famous Hindustan Aeronautical Limited , Bangalore, Govt of India and this couple is blessed with  a daughter and a son ;

                        Mr. M. Chelliah Dhas, B.A with his wife Ms Annie Bama , B.Sc, B.Ed,.

[3] Mr. M. Chelliah Dhas , B.A, and he married Ms Annie Bama , B.Sc, B.Ed . Mr Chellaih Dhas  retired as an officer , Canara Bank and Ms Annie Bama  worked at the Concordia Higher Secondary School, Putetti and retired as a B.T. Assistant. Mr. Chelliah Dhas scored 90 % marks in English in his SSLC Examination and his marks in English was higher than the marks of scored by the State First Student of that year, in English.  Mr Chellaih Dhas and Ms Annie Bama Chelliah Dhas couple gave birth to the following children namely :- [a] Mr. C.Vijay Anand, B.Tech[ Chemical ] and  Vijayanand is specialised in developing Quality Engineering Strategies for Digital Transformation Initiative which includes Mobility, Cloud, Migration, Data Science Systems, Technology Modernisation Programs,etc,. Mr Vijayanand worked as General Manager--Sr.Enterprise Architect of H.C.L Technologies from October 2018 to April 2021 with distinction   and currently he is working as Global Practice Director of H.C.L. Technologies , Greater Toronto Area, Canada with great distinction and efficacy As Global Practice Director of H.C.L, Tech, he is in charge of Canada and USA .Mr. C. Vijayanand married Ms Berno Ezhil Mexsa , M.Sc [ Microbiology] and she works as a Patent Writer in Canada and this couple is blessed with a smart daughter,  [b] Ms Beena Sharmi , B.E [ Computer Science] and she is working at NOVO NORDISK [ A Leading Global Healthcare Company]  and she married Mr R.Allwyn Wilson, M.B.A, and he is working as a Software Engineer in the famous MPHASIS Limited  in Bangalore and this couple is blessed with a smart son by name Mr. A. Shawn Calwin and currently he is doing his School Final  and Mr. R. Shawn Calwin is a blooming  musical genius  and he is an expert Drummer and adept Keyboard Player and also he is a voracious Reader of Books :

[3] Mr. M. Kingsly, M.Sc[ Maths]. M.A [ English], M.Ed  and he married Ms Prabha, M.Sc, B.Ed, daughter of Mr. Jenarthanam . Mr M. Kingsly served as Headmaster of the S.A. Higher Secondary School, Vettornimadam for several years with great dedication . Mr kingsly and Ms Prabha  Kingsly couple gave birth to the following children namely ;[a] Ms. Paulin Sophia, M.Sc [ Nursing] and she is working as a Nurse in N.H.S, U.K and she married Mr Edith [ Male Nurse] and is blessed with a son who is studying in U.K,and a new born child  ,[b] Mr. Jewelson Samuel, B.E, M.S [ U.K]  he did his M.S in UK and now he is working as a Software Engineer  in WIPRO Limited, United .Kingdom.. Mr Jewlelson Samuel married Ms D. Aruna , B.Sc [Computer Sc] , M.B.A ;

{4] Mr. M. Sunder , and he studied up to P.U.C. and he married Ms Ambika and she is working as an Assessor , T.N.E.B. and this couple is blessed with a son by name Mr Nanthakumar, B.E,  and ;

[ 5 ] Ms. Padmini , B.Sc, B.L   and she  married Mr Chandra Mohan, M.A   and Mr Chandra Mohan decorated a Senior Post  in the Labour Department, Govt of India and this couple is blessed with a son by name Mr Akash. .

Mr. N. Manuel Dhas' Professional /  Teaching Career       : After having passed his B.A, B.T,  Mr N. Manuel Dhas joined the famous  S.M.S.M. High School,Suchindrum as a High School Teacher and worked as English and Social Studies Teacher for many years with great distinction and devotion and due to  some personal reasons he left this teaching  job in the year 1969..  Immediately after that Mr. N. Manuel Dhas, B.A, B.T,  got a privilege to work as a Lecturer at the Saraswathi Narayanan College, Madurai for one year with great enthusiasm and efficiency.  Following that Mr. N. Manuel Dhas, B.A, B.T, got the privilege to work as the Head Master of the famous Parali High School at Pillar Dam Nilgris and  this is the only school in the state of Tamil Nadu run by the T.N.E.B,. Mr N. Manuel Dhas  worked as Head Master in this School for two years with great efficacy and left the job . He then joined the famous Stanes Higher Secondary School Coimbatore as a Senior  English Teacher and worked as an English Teacher with great distinction and efficacy till his retirement . After his retirement he shifted to Madras/ Chennai  and lived there for some years and died in October 2000, and his mortal remains were buried at the Santhome C.S.I. Church cemetery, Chennai . 

Conclusion   : Mr. N. Manuel Dhas was really a multi-faceted personality .  He was a great Social Thinker, Egalitarian and Educationist  and he  worked to bring equality and fraternity among his fellow countrymen . He was  a great Educationist and he believed that education will liberate common people from all types ignorance and lift the less privileged  and poor people to a better height and places.  He was an eloquent and convincing public speaker and his command over the English language was commendable.  A  great privilege  was given to Mr N. Mauel Dhas by the former Chief Minister of the then Madras State Mr K. Kamaraj, to accompany  Mr K. kamaraj and Acharay Kirupalini  in the same car as a Translator. Mr Manuel Dhas served as a Translator for  Sri k. kamaraj  and Mr Acharya Kirupalani and accordingly Mr Manuel Dhas translated the words of kamaraj into English from Tamil  and  Kirupalani's English conversation into Tamil  Mr N. Manuel Dhas did the translation job so wonderfully and candidly and earned the appreciation of those two tall leaders. Mr. N. Manuel Dhas  was not only an excellent English Teacher but also he was an eloquent speaker and writer both in English and Tamil. God has blessed his children and grandchildren with all the blessings. He had the privilege to rub shoulders with many tall intellectuals of his time from all sections of the society..   He was physically and intellectually handsome.   We cannot accommodate all of  his accomplishment and important chapters of his real  life story  within the space of this Article and so I will end this Article with the following sentence, " Late Mr N. Dr. P. Arunachalam was Awarded Post Doctoral Training Fellowship    : Dr. P. Arunachalam was awarded P.h.D, degree in the year 1996. Relentless search for knowledge is a prominent trait of Dr. P. Arunachalam . His quest for knowledge forced him to read more books and his unique style of teaching was appreciated by the student community and he became very popular in the University. He longed to enhance and enrich his knowledge and  wanted to do a Post Doctoral Programme and so took needed initiative in this regard . As a result of his tireless effort Dr. P. Arunachalam was awarded Post Doctoral Training Fellowship by NUFFIC [ Netherlands Council for Co-Operation in Higher Education , Government of Netherlands] for  Six Times under the SEPTRA--MHO-Programme between the Department of Applied Economics , Cochin University of Science and Technology and the Development Research Institute [IVO], Tilburg Universsity , the Netherlands during the period from 1999 to 2004 . And as a part of his Research Training Programme , he visited France , Germany, Italy, England, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, USA, and most of the Gulf countries. He is a specialist to teach Quantitative Techniques and International Business Economics at M.B.E level and Quantitative Techniques at M.Phil level .

Arunachalam's Parents and His Birth        : Chidambarapuram is a beautiful idyllic Village  situated near kalakad Municipality  in Tirunelveli district and in this village there lived a gentleman and farmer by name Mr Pitchan and he married Ms Kasamady Ammal from the nearby Pallakkal Pothukudi village .Mr. Pitchan and Ms Kasamady Ammal Pitchan couple gave birth to Dr. Arunachalam on the 17th May 1963 .

Dr. P. Arunachalam's Siblings         : God blessed  Mr. Pitchan and Ms Thasamadi Ammal Pitchan couple with all the conjugal blessings and this couple gave birth to the following children namely :[1] The first born  child died inits infant stage  [2] Mr. P. Velau [ late], [3] Ms Sornam, [4] Mr. P.Subbiah   and his son Mr Nambirajan, B.E [Civil] is working in South Africa as an Engineer , [5] Mr. P. Arumugam ,[6] Mr P. Perumal and his first daughter  Dr. Rajeswari , M.Com, Ph.D is working as an Assistant Professor in a constituent Govt College,M.S. University, in Tirunelveli  and Dr. Rajeswari's huband is a B.E [ E.E.E] graduate and he is working as an Engineer , ONGC, Mumbai.  Mr. P. Perumal's second daughter Ms Charanya , M.Sc, B.Ed and her husband Mr karthik is working in the Indian Railways, and [7] Dr.P. Arunachalam , M.A, M.Phil, Ph.D [ He is the Hero of this Article . 

Dr. P. Arunachalam's Educational Track        :   Dr. P. Arunachalam did his Primary School studies at the C.S.I. Primary School at Chidambarapuram village . and  he pursued his High School and Higher Secondary School education at the Govt Higher. Secondary School at kalakad  and passed his Plus two in the year 1981 with good marks.  Dr. P. Arunachalam pursued his B.A [ Economics ] at the famous St Xavier's College , Tirunelveli and passed his B.A with high marks . Then he did his M.A [ Economics] at the famous Loyola College Chennai and passed his M.A[ Economics] in the year 1986 meritoriously . After having passed his M.A. he pursued his MPhil research Study at the Cochin University of Science and Technlogy, Kochi and  passed his M.Phil  degree in the year 1988.  Pondichery University, a central University awarded him all India level  Doctoral Fellowship , in the year 1988.

Dr. P. Arunachalam Began His Teaching Career at C.U.S.A.T.    : After having passed his M.Phil Research study Dr. P. Arunachalam joined as a Lecturer , Department of Applied Economics , Cochin University of Science and Technology  in the year 1989. Afterwards there was no turning back in his professional career .

He was Awarded PhD degree    : Dr. P. Arunachalam did his Ph.D , research work in the Cochin University of Science and Technology , on the topic, " India's Engineering Goods Exports : growth , Concentration and Diversification : His Thesis was well appreciated by the examiners and he was awarded  Ph,D , degree in the year 1996 

Dr. P. Arunachalam's  Wife and Children        :   Dr. P. Arunachalam married Ms. Mahalakshi, B.Com, at the famous Guruvayur temple in the year 1996  and this couple is blessed with the following Children namely ;-[1] Mr. Dr. Saravanan, M.B.B.S.  and now he is preparing for his NEET Examination and [2] Ms. Dr. Pooja Gayathiri, M.B.B.S.and she is doing her House Surgeon training at the famous Stanley Medical College , Chennai .

His Brilliant Professional Track       :  Dr. P. Arunachalam  proved himself as an efficient Applied Economics Teacher and he was well liked by his Students  . He became a  Reader in the year 1997 and Professor in the year 2005 . He had the privilege to serve as the Head of the Department of Applied Economics , Cochin University of Science and Technology three times: [a] during the period from April 2004 to April 2007 , [2] again he served as Head of the Dept of Applied Economics from July 2013 to July 2016 and [3] and from October 2018 to 31st may 2023. Dr. P. Arunachalam discharged his official duties as Head of the Dept of Applied Economics with great devotion and efficacy and won the respect and love of the staff, student and Vice Chancellor .

Introduction   :          Former  Chairman of Trivandrum University College Students' Union Mr A . Robertson, M.A,  was a handsome, colorful and multi-faceted personality. He was a great orator in English, Malayalam and Tamil, Author of two Christian Books in English  , Lay man Evangelist, and a staunch Christian believer.. His prolific profile will easily tell that he was not given his deserving recognition in his professional life. But his qualities, capabilities and his accomplishments specially  during his College days in Trivandrum University College and his spiritual life in his later part of life  will definitely inspire the readers to be a cheerful  and bold, galvanize them to become  God-fearing persons   and equip them with leadership qualities. .   A man must be judged by his potentialities and spiritual power not by his official Position alone  Official position is not the only criteria to judge a person. Mr A. Robertson was definitely above the position he reached in his professional career and taller than the heights he reached in this worldly life.

Mr. A. Robertson's Parents and Birth                                        :  Many decades ago there lived a smart man in Nagercoil by name Mr Arulanandam and he married Ms . Mariammal  and this couple gave birth to one daughter by name Ms,A. Dhayaseelee Swamidhas and one son by name Mr.A. Paul William  . When these children were young Ms Mariammal Arulanandam died and so Mr Arulandam married  Ms Nesamoy and this Arulanandam and Ms Nesamony Arulanandam couple gave birth to two sons namely:-[1] Mr.A. Percy Edward , B.A [ He served as the Secretary of South Travancore Journalists' Association and Special Correspondent of Dinamalar in Trivandrum  and [2] A. Robertson, M.A .

Mr A. Robertson's Education ; Mr A Robertson  after completing his school studies joined the Scott Christian College and studied his B A {Economics] and passed his B.A.in  1958 .. While he was doing his Final year B.A, he was elected  as the Secretary of Economics and History Students'\Association of Scott Christian College. Nagercoil and he served as the Secretary of the said  Association with distinction . After having passed his B.A he joined the prestigious University College , Trivandrum for  his M.A [Economics] .

Mr A. Robertson's Glorious College days as the Chairman of the Trivandrum University College  Students' Union Chairman[1960-61] : During those days there was great competition to become the Chairman of the Trivandrum University College Students' Union, but Mr A Robertson won the election with thumping majority and he became the Chairman of the University College Students' Union for the year 1960-61.   During his tenure as the Chairman of the University College Students.Union ,he had the privilege of inviting great personalities like Sri. V. V Giri the then Governor of  Kerala and later the President of India , Sir C,P Ramaswamy Iyer , former Devan of modern Travancore State., Sri C. Rajagopalachari, the first and last Indian Governor General of India,  to the Trivandrum University College and preside over the Meetings. As a Student Union leader Mr A Robertson was in close association with the then Chief Minister of Kerala Sri Pattam Thanu Pillai and Home Minister of Kerala Mr Chacko and scores of  other dignitaries of that period of time. Mr. A. Robertson as Students' Union leader  became very popular among the student community. This gave him an air of confidence, ego and pride.

Beginning of his Professional Career  :   : Because of his extra Curricular activities Mr.Robertson created a world of his own  and he lived by himself.  Mr Robertson writes,"This had its worst effect .I was not able to study well. I had expected my University studies to be an open door to a life of substantial achievement but miserably lost and disappointed. However after he successfully completed his M.A , he got a job in Hindustan Machine Tools in Ernakulam, Kerala  and that gave him a temporary relief and hope

Robertson's Marriage,  Wife and Children   : Mr A. Robertson married his maternal Uncle Sri. Arumainayagam's daughter Ms .Jessie, B,Sc, B.T. She started her teaching career as a high School Teacher in the S.A.Higher Secondary School, Trivandrum and retired as  Head Mistress of the School.  Mr A. Robertson and Ms Jessie Robertson couple gave birth to two daughters and a son namely :- [1]Ms. Nessie, B.E, and she was married to Mr Er. Nirmalnathan B.E { He  worked with Electronics Corporation of India  and retired as Deputy  General Manager of Electronics Corporation of India, but  immediately after his retirement he passed away from this world, [2] Mr Arnold, D.M.E  he is generally known as  Bobby and he is a Computer Hardware Expert . and [3] Late Ms Asha , M.B.A.

Mr. A Robertson  got a job in the prestigious Thumba Rocket Launching Station :  Mr A. Robertson  got a job in the then newly established  Thumba Launching Station as a Purchase Assistant, in the Purchase Department. He was proud to be with the Space Department from its inception even in his small capacity. and this opportunity gave him the privilege to know and move with some towering personalities like Padma Vibhushan Dr Vikram Sarabai, Padmashree Dr.V.R.Gwariker [ Former Director VSSC Trivandrum,& Scientific Advisor to the then Prime Minister] ,Dr.A.P.J .Abdul Kalam [ Former Project Director S.L.V Project and later the 11th  President of India ], Padma Sri Kurup and Dr. A.E. Muthunayagam [Former Director L.P.S.C., Trivandrum ] and scores of many brilliant young scientists. Mr Robertson writes, "The Space Centre represented a cross section of the country and cream of the population formed a cosmopolitan outlook . It was indeed an University for me to learn about life and matters" Thus he had the privilege to work with and under many intellectual giants of the nation. Mr. A. Robertson  had the privilege to serve as an Editorial Board Member of the official News Bulletin of the Thumba Rocket Launching Station [ISRO, Trivandrum } for some years . He also had the honour and privilege to serve as the Leader of the Employee Association  of Thumba Rocket Launching Station, Trivandrum [ ISRO} for some years with great distinction and efficacy.  He had been working in the Purchase Department with great efficacy and distinction  but somehow he could not go above the Post of Purchase officer  and so he had some disappointment and he writes, " Although I was sincere, honest, and hard working , the promotions I rightly deserved did not come to me .I became a serious Cardiac patient without any forewarning "

Mr.A. Robertson Became a Committed Christian    : Unexpectedly Mr. A .Robertson became a cardiac patient.  He underwent  a successful Open Heart Surgery  at the  Sri Chitra Medical  Center Trivandrum. This heart operation  completely changed his priorities in his life, he  repented for his sins  He started to fast on Lent days . He had the privilege to attend the revival meetings of Dr Oral Roberts, Evangelist.Dr Stanley Jones, Mr Morgan to name a few foreign missionaries and Good News meetings of Bro Bakhta Singh, Dr Sam Kamalesan and Bro Dr. DGS. Dinakaran, yet he was adamant for full commitment to God  But this heart operation crushed his body and mind  and he repented and became a true born again Christian.  He started  a prayer fellowship and those meetings helped him to study Bible and build up his faith. He attended Jesus Calls Power Ministry in 1987 and was anointed with the Holy spirit, He also became  a member of Gideon's International and distributed Bibles to various institutions and he became a Prayer Warrior and was growing in the knowledge of Christ day by day

He Authored two Christian Books in English    : Mr A. Robertson  became very humble in front of God . He wanted  to record his spiritual pilgrimage  and share his personal witness with his fellow human beings and so he wrote two books in English namely '_  [1] A Layman's Short Messages, pages.66  this small book  is the collection  of his Christian messages and sermons delivered by him on various occasions and this book starts with his personal testimony [2] Fasting and Prayer ,pages 56. in this book he underlines the importance of Fasting and Prayer in the spiritual journey of  believers. .Both are  must  read books and the books had been  written  beautifully in English.

Conclusion  :  After his  retirement Mr A, Robertson  shifted to  Nagercoil with his family. . The sad death of his younger daughter Ms Asha Robertson  affected him beyond words and he became very sick, However he went to Mumbai to attend the Gospel meeting of the famous Evangelist  Bennyhinn But while returning from Mumbai  he died due to massive  heart attack on the 24th February 2004. . Mr.A. Robertson is no more with us today his memories live with us . His life is really a great witness, God blessed him with a magnetic appearance, he was a great Reader, a great student  Leader,  a great Orator, Author  and Christian  His Books will serve as  an eye opener for many who trust their money and knowledge more than the grace of God  . I praise  God for Mr. Robertson's  life.  and I conclude this Article with  one simple sentence , "Mr A.Robertson's life was really a meaningful worldly , intellectual and Spiritual Journey., I thank God for him "

A Prolific Writer in English, Eloquent Speaker Both in Tamil And English , Excellent Counsellor, Co Founder of the Mission to the Blind and Former National Executive Director of the Mission to the Blind Mrs. Jeya Thanaseelan

Introduction   : Late Mrs Jeya Thanaseelan was a remarkable lady and she  was the Co Founder of the Mission to the Blind and her beloved husband Mr. Sam Thanaseelan was the Founder of the Mission to the Blind. Ms Jeya Thanaseelan  lived for the cause of the Blind people of this nation till her demise on 4th July 2023.  She also served as the National  Executive Director of the Mission to the Blind [ 1st June 2008 --1st June 2017 ] . We can say Compassion thy name is  Ms.Jeya Thanaseelan .The disabilities experienced by the visually challenged people of our vast nation touched and moved her kind heart with empathy and sympathy, so together with her remarkable husband late Mr Sam Thanaseelan she co-founded  the Mission to the Blind  Her real life story and her relentless compassion for the companion-less  will definitely galvanise many to lit light in the lives of  the people who walk in darkness without  sight and insight .

Ms. Jeya Thanaseelan's Parents and Birth    :      Ms. Jeya Thanaseelan's  father Mr. J.M. John  and her mother Ms Gnanapoo John were natives of the famous Tuticorin city, Tamil Nadu. . Mr. J.M. John and Ms Gnanapoo John were blessed by God with all the conjugal blessings and this couple gave birth to Ms Jeya Thanaseelan on the 31st August 1948.  During the last century many people from the southern districts of Tamil Nadu went  to Srilanka to work and earn more money. Likewise  Mr. J.M. John and his Wife Ms Gnanapoo John went to Srilanka to work and after having worked for a decade or so  they returned to India . Mr.J.M. John was a  School Head Master and Ms Gnanapoo John was a School teacher. 

Mr.J.M John and Ms Gnanapoo John Couple's Children  :   Mr. J.M.John and Ms Gnanapoo John couple were living a blissful and blessed family life and this couple gave birth to the following children namely :-[1] Ms. Victoria , [2] Ms. Isabel  Leelavathy and [3] Ms Jeya Thanaseelan[ the heroine of this Article ]/ 

Ms Jeya Thanaseelan's Educational Track  :  As Ms. Jeya Thanaseelan's  parents were working and living in Srilanka.  Ms Jeya Thanaseelan pursued  her School Education in Srilanka till her family's return to India..As she did her School education in Srilanka she had better privilege to  acquire a good command over English language and her proficiency in English helped her a lot in many ways in her  ministerial career .Later  Ms Jeya Thanaseelan successfully studied  her Diploma Nursing Course in a Nursing School in Neyveli town, in Tamil Nadu. 

Death of Mr. J.M. John  and the death of his pet dog Blacky   : The untimely death of Jeya Thanaseeelan's beloved father Mr J.M. John affected the whole family very much in many ways  beyond words. When Mr John died Ms Jeya Thanaseelan became so sad ,yet as a mentally strong young  lady she rose up-to  the occasion and  stood by the side of her father's lifeless body boldly and arranged for the funeral of her beloved dad all alone.  Her sister Ms. Isabel Leelavathy  was due with her first child and she could not attend the funeral of her father.  .Mr. J.M Johns' mortal body was buried in a Christian cemetery. In this connection it would be appropriate to say a few lines about the family's pet dog called Blacky , a Labrado . Blacky was really a member of Jeya's family and all in the family loved and treated Blacky as a member of the family . The Blacky followed the funeral procession of Mr.J.M John and reached the cemetery , After the burial every body left  Mr J.M. John's grave but  Mr. J.M..John's  faithful and  grateful  friend Blacky remained by the side  of his Master's grave without  taking any food for some days and died there above the grave of his  Master Mr.J.M. John .

Ms Jeya Thanaseelan and her Mother Moved to Chennai   :  After the demise of her beloved dad Mr J.M. John ,  Ms.Jeya moved along with her mother Ms Gnanapoo John to the house of her elder sister Ms Isabel Leelavathy in Chennai,.  Ms. Jeya resided with her elder sister Ms Leelavatahy in Chennai till Jeya's marriage with Mr Sam Thanaseelan.  

Ms Jeya Thanaseelan began her Professional Career  :  Ms. Jeya Thanaseelan worked as a Staff Nurse for some years before starting her  career with Sarjam Metals Private Limited  , Chennai and  after having worked for some years in Sarjam Metals Private Ltd, in line with her internal thirst to serve the cause of Christ  she joined the Youth for Christ .

Ms Jeya Thanaseelan was a born Evangelist and her Associations with some Christian Organisations  :  Ms Jeya Thanaseealn hailed from a good pious Christian family and since her childhood she loved her saviour Jesus Christ and wanted to serve Him . She involved herself with Child Evangelism Fellowship and Friends Missionary Prayer Band [FMPB ]  and she was closely associated with the Founder of Friends Missionary Prayer Band and  he moulded and inspired Ms Jeya Thanaseelan for Lord's Ministry .

Ms Jeya Thanaseelan  Joined Youth For Christ Asia Pacific    :;   Director of the Youth For Christ Asia Pacific, late Dr. Victor Manogarom was a close relative of Ms Jeya Thanaseelan . Dr. Victor Manogarom gave a call to Ms Jeya Thanaseelan to join "Youth For Christ Asia Pacific"  and to do full time Ministry. Ms Jeya Thanaseelan accepted the call and joined the Youth for Christ Asia pacific  to do  full time ministry.  Ms Jeya worked as the Secretary to the Director of Youth for Christ Asia Pacific  Dr. Victor Manogarom . Ms Jeya served the Lord through Youth For Christ Asia Pacific  with great enthusiasm and dedication till her marriage with Mr Sam Thanaseelan  .Ms. Jeya's dedicated missionary work attracted the attention and appreciation of many contemporary Christian leaders and missionaries in Chennai and around Chennai. It would be appropriate to remember one fact that Mr. Sam Thanaseelan  worked in the Youth for Christ, India  organisation for nearly 25 years and he had even worked as the National Director of Youth for Christ, India .

Ms Jeya's Marriage with Mr Sam Thanaseelan  ;  The death of Mr Sam Thanaseelan's  wife Ms.Christy in 1983 affected Mr Sam Thanaseelan so desperately. Mr Sam Thanaseelan spent his days in a  melancholic manner and mood .   And again after three months  the death of his beloved mother also affected him beyond words. Mr Sam Thanaseelan's close friends and relatives advised Mr Sam Thanaseelan to find out a suitable life partner to come out of his deep sorrow and mental depression. Mr. Sam Thananeseealn agreed to their advice .His friends and relatives selected Ms Jeya John and Mr Sam Thanaseelan agreed to this proposal and selection. Sam Thanaseelan's friends and relatives  told Ms Jeya  about their plan and wish , After due consideration and long sincere prayer Ms Jeya John agreed to the proposal . Ms. Jeya married Mr Sam Thanaseelan , on the 22nd April, 1986.

Mr. Sam Thanaseelan and Ms Jeya Thanaseelan Founded the Mission to the Blind  : The disadvantages and plight of the thousands of visually impaired people of our country touched and affected  the minds of Mr Thanaseelan and Ms Jeya Thanaseelan consistently with empathy and sympathy  and so they decided to start a Christian Organisation to serve the cause of the visually impaired people  They rightly contacted Ms Dr. Esther Cornelius who was a pioneer and expert in this field; for her guidance and advice. In this context it would be appropriate to say a few lines about Ms Esther Cornelius the Founder of the School for the Blind Bargur[ IELC]. Ms Dr. Esther Cornelius encouraged Mr Sam Thanaseelan and Ms Jeya Thanaselan to start the Mission to the Blind.  Ms. Jeya Thanaseelan [the Heroine of this Article ] writes, " Gradually Esther Akka became a part of our Ministry . She was President of the Board [ Mission to the Blind ] for three years until she had to go to the United States in order to be with her children " Moreover Esther Cornelius gave her daughter late Ms Benedicta's house at Madavaram in Chennai to the Mission to the Blind to start a Home for the Young Blind Woman and this Home for the Young Blind Woman was named after Dr. Esther's demised daughter Ms Jovanna in line with Dr.Esther's wish as . " Jovanna Home for the young Blind Women , " Mr Sam Thanaseelan  and Ms Jeya Thanaseelan couple loved and respected Ms Dr. Esther Cornelius so much and so sincerely .  Mr Sam Thanaseelan and his wife Ms Jeya Thanaseealn founded the Mission to the Blind in Chennai in the June 1992.  Mr Sam Thanaseelan served as the First National Executive Director  of the Mission to the Blind from June 1992 to May 2008 and as a Consultant  with great missionary vision and christian compassion till his untimely death on  the 29 th  September 2012. 

Ms Jeya Thanaseelan served as the National Executive Director     ; Following the death of her beloved husband Mr Sam Thanaseealn, Ms Jeya Thanaseelan served as the National Executive Director of the "Mission to the Blind" from June 2006 to May 2017 . Since June 2017 Mr Jaikumar is serving as the National Executive Director  of  the Mission to the Blind. .

Ms Jeya Thanaseelan was Good Writer   :   Ms Jeya Thanaseelan was a prolific writer in English. The Meditation Notes written by Ms Jeya Thanaseelan  for "Daily Bread"  2023 [Pages.131-137] published by he Scripture Union,  study notes in Braille for Epistles of Roman , 1 &2  Timothy , Mark and Luke's gospel, study notes for the Camps for the Blind People on Philippians , 1 John, 1 & 2 Peter, James, Colossians , Nehemiah, Ruth, Esther etc [ MISSION TO THE BLIND, 2023, P.3] had helped both the physically  and the  spiritually blind people of this great nation 

Conclusion    : We can call the "Mission to the Blind" organisation  as the brain child of Mr Sam Thanaseelan and his wife Ms Jeya Thanaseelan. The founders of the Mission to the Blind are not alive today but their brain child is here  with us  serving the cause of the visually impaired people of India in line with vision envisioned by the Founders .The Mission to the  Blind's functional operation has spread throughout India and as on date 126  persons consisting of both men and women from ten different languages are working as Staff in the M.T.B, including 30 visually impaired persons . The  institutions started by the Founder and Co Founder of the Mission to the Blind namely Johnnie Training Centre and Joanna Home, etc,  are functioning well for the holistic development of thousands of  visually impaired people of our vast nation. Ms Jeya Thanaseelan passed away from this world on the 4th July 2023. She was an ordinary woman with extraordinary qualities and goals. She was simple , unassuming and her fluency in English is really laudable . She was a beautiful and eloquent Writer in English . She was a good Administrator,Strict Disciplinarian ,Hard Worker,  Good Mentor,  Intelligent  Counsellor, Woman of Prayer, responsible Life Partner.  Ms Jeya Thanaseelan was not only a good writer abut also a very eloquent speaker both in English and Tamil and above all she was a Good Soul and a Woman of God  and she lived for the  deplorable and sightless people  . It is not possible to cover all the important aspects and accomplished chapters of Ms Jeya Thanaseelan's real sacrificial life story within in the space of this Article .  I had the privilege to meet sister Ms. Jeya Jeyaseelan at Puthukudiiruppu CSI Church, Nagercoil along with my wife Ms.Vanitha. I will end this Article with the following sentence , "Dear sister Ms Jeya Thanaseelan, we thank God for your meaningful life , we are proud of you".

Mr. Ashley Justin Issac's Parents and his Birth     : Ukkirankottai is a beautiful Village in Tirunelveli Taluk in Tirunelveli District . The literacy percentage of this Village is higher than the average literacy percentage of Tirunelveli District and it is said that during the last few decades , the  natives of this village have made notable improvement in the field of education and many educated  people from Ukkirankottai  are  occupying high  positions both in Government and in Private Sector companies  . In Ukkrankottai  Village there lived a God fearing man by name  Mr.David Kailasam , M.Com with his beautiful wife by name Ms Prema, [B.Sc] and this couple gave birth to Mr Ashley Justin Issac on 12 th April 1981. Mr. Ashley Justin Isaac's father Mr David Kailasam , M.Com worked as an Officer  in State Bank of India but unfortunately while he was is service he died . Mr. Ahley Justin Issac's mother discontinued her education while she was doing her second year B.Sc[ Chemisry] and married Mr David kailasam. Ms Prema  David Kailasam is a good and wise Home Maker  and she  is alive today  She played a crucial and dynamic role to give best possible education to her three children . I think it would be appropriate to say a few lines about Mr. Ashley Justin Issac's fathers family.  His father's elder brother Mr. Dhanaraj is a Man of God and his Son Earnest Don Kevin, B.E, is working in Sweden  and Mr . Dhanaraj's daughter Ms. Hepsibah , B.E lives in USA with her husband and family. 

Mr. Ashley Justin Issac and His Siblings    :  Mr. David Kailasam and Ms Prema David Kailasam couple gave birth to the  following children namely :-[1] Mr. Ashley Justin Issac , B.E ,and he is the Hero of this Article , [2] Ms. Jeency , B.E, [ E.C.E] and she married Mr. Prajan [Businessman ] and she is doing Medical coding job for a US based Company . Ms Jeency Prajan  and Mr. Prajan couple is blessed with one daughter and this family resides in Chennai , [3] Mr Daniel , B.Tech, [I.T] and he is married to Ms Anushya , B.E  and she works as a Technology Lead in Infosys in Chennai and this couple is blessed with one cute daughter and this family currently lives in Chennai .

Mr Ashley Justin Issac's Educational Track  :.   Mr. Ashley Justin Issac did his Primary School studies at the A.G. Primary School at Tenkasi and afterwards he pursued his High School and Higher Secondary School education in the famous  Hilton Matric Hr Secondary School in Courtalam .He passed his S.S.L.C. in 1996 and Plus Two in 1998 . After having passed his Plus Two examination meritoriously he pursued his B.E,[ E.C.E ]in  the Arulmigu  Kalasalingam College of Engineering in Krishnankoil ; and this College lies on the Madurai...Coutalam High Road  and on the base of Western Ghats near Srivilliputhur.  Mr. Ashley Justin Issac passed his B.E, in the year 2002 with flying colours .

Mr Ashley Justin Issac began His Professional Career   :  In the year 2004 Mr Ashley Justin Issac joined the  D.S.R.C, [ Data Software Research Company] Chennai and worked as a Software Engineer and in the year 2005 he joined the famous T,C.S. as a Software Engineer and he worked in this Company only for three months .  In 2005 he joined the S.P.I.[ Software Paradigms Infotech Pvt Ltd ], Mysore as a Software Engineer and gained good professional experience . Nowadays moving from one Company to another company for better pasture and opportunity has become a common pattern among the Software Engineers and other private sector professionals and  this true in the case of Mr Ashley Justin Issac, also.  In the year 2007 Mr. Ashley Justin Issac  joined Infosys, Bangalore as a Technology Lead and worked with great efficacy and dedication till he left the Infosys.. In the year 2009 he joined Cognizant  Technology Solutions [C.T.S] as a Project Lead and in the year 2018 due to recession he left  C.T.S. 

Mr. Ashley Justin Issac's Marriage, His Wife and Her family   :  Mr. Ashley Justin Issac married Ms. Vennila Padmaja, M.Tch, a  daughter of Mr. Nallathambi, B.E and Ms Lally Saroja Nallathambi, B.Sc, M.A, B.Ed, on the 5th January, 2012 at Vallioor. Ms Vennila Padmaja's father. Mr Nallathambi, B.E, worked in the P.W.D  , Govt of Tamil Nadu for many years  and retired as a Divisional Engineer and Ms Vennila Padmaja's mother Ms Lally Saroja, B.Sc, M.A, B.Ed,  before her retirement worked as the Head Mistress of  the Vallioor Concordia Higher Secondary School and retired from Service. Before marriage Ms Vennila Padmaja had worked as a Lecturer in the Thamizhan College of Engineering and Technology, Shenbagaramanputhur  After her marriage Ms Vennila  Padmaja  Ashley Justin worked as Overseas Coordinator in EURO EXIM Logistics Company , Tirupur for one year [ 2020- 2021 ]. and now she helps her family as a good and wise Home Maker . Ms Vennila Padmaja is blessed with the following siblings namely :-[1]Ms. Priya, B.E, [2] Ms Sheeba Malini , B.E, M.B.A, and [3] Ms Anushya , M.B.A,.  

Mr Ashley Justin Issac and Ms Vennila Padmaja Couple's Children   :.Mr. Ashley Justin Issac and Ms Vennila Padmaja Ashely Justin  Issac couple is blessed with two lovely children namely ;-[1] Ms. Debora [doing her 6th Std] and [2] Ms Gabriela Sharon [ doing her 3rd Std ] .

Conclusion     :   In 2021, Mr. Ashley Justin Issac joined Wipro  and is working as a Delivery Manager till date with great efficiency and distinction  As a Delivery Manager he is managing the overall Project of Aviva Life Insurance U.K [ A Client of Wipro ] with great devotion and efficiency..  He loves Music and he is a good key Board Player . During his School days a he was a prize winning Sprinter and Athlete and as  a member of the  College Foot Ball Team and he had played for his College,  in the  Tamil Nadu Inter Engineering Sports [ TIES] Competition and his Team  won Third Prize in the Foot Ball Match.. He is very intelligent, unassuming, honest and he moves with all types of people with equal respect and  good will  He is a great Prayer Warrior . He loves his mother, wife and children and his siblings very much .  Definitely he will reach greater height in his professional career . He is a brilliant and shining  a role Model for the youth and young engineers  and definitely his life story will  galvanise many first generation youth with.relentless confidence and hope  I can not cover all the aspects of his life, aspirations  and accomplishments  within the space of this Article.
