Sebastian Rajasekaran's Close Relatives and their Families : Dr.Sebastian Rajasekaran's mother Mrs Grace Margaret hailed from an illustrious christian family in Madurai district. Ms Grace Margaret's siblings are namely [1] Mr. K.S Swaminathan, B.A, L.T, He worked as Head Master of Union Christian High School, Madurai and later he worked as Head-Master of the famous Fabricious High School, Purasawalkam, Chennai and also served as Corporation ward Councilor of Chennai.corporation for one term . Sri. KS Swaminathan's daughter Ms. Suseela Augustine's son Mr.Meher,M.Arch is an established, innovative and creative Architect in Chennai ,[2] Mr. K.S. Balavendram an his daughter Ms. Esther Rajam worked with Sarah Tucker
College, Palayamkottai and retired as HOD of History Department and
her husband Mr Raja Lionel worked with the Nazareth Marcacious college
as HOD of English Department. and [3] Mr. K.S. Israel , B.A and he is blessed with three daughters and one son namely [1]Ms. Vinothini B.Sc,,[2] Ms. Vimochini,[3] Ms.Vilochini and [4]Mr. Simon.B.Sc,. Ms Vinothini's husband Sri. V.S Swaminathan worked as a teaching staff in the American College, Madurai and retired from his active service as Vice Principal of American College. Ms Vimochini, M.A worked with the famous Kodai International School and her husband Mr,M. Alexander retired as Labour Inspector, Govt of Tamil Nadu. And Ms. Vilochini's husband Dr. Sebastian Rajasekaran retired as Vice Principal of a famous college in Trichy.
Dr.Sebastian Rajasekaran's Marriage and Children : Dr. Sebastian Rajasekaran married his maternal uncle Mr K.S. Israel's daughter Ms. Vilochini, B.A, M.Ed and this lovely couple is blessed with the following children [1]Ms. Rachel , MSW, Ph.D and she did her MSW at the Stella Mary's College, Chennai and her Ph.D at the famous Bishop Heber College, Trichy and [2 and his son ]Mr Beril, M.B.A.and he is married and well settled in life.
Dr. Sebastian Rajasekaran's Professional Career: In the year 1983 Sri. Sebastian Rajasekaran joined as PG Assistant with the Thiagaraja Model Higher Secondary School, Madurai and worked in the same post for two years . Then he joined the Bishop Heber College, Trichy as Assistant Professor in the Botany department of the College. Afterwards there was no turning back .After some years he was promoted as Associate Professor of Botany, Bishop Heber College, Trichy and then he was promoted as the Vice Principal of Bishop Heber College, Trichy and he retired from service in the year 2015. He was an efficacious teacher and research guide and he had guided number of PhD research students such as Dr. Vijayan.A, Dr. V. Anand Gideon, and some others.. His sincere and efficacious service for the cause of education and for the development of Bishop Heber College as one of the premier educational institutions in the country will be remembered for long time .
Conclusion : Dr. C. Sebastian Rajasekaran is multifaceted personality, he is an efficient teacher, good administrator , organizer , unassuming man of action, God-fearing and compassionate humanist and he will be remembered for his simple living and high thinking, His personal qualities will inspire many people to lead a meaningful and successful life. He is not only a academic scientist but also a social scientist and his love for poor people is praise worthy and note worthy. After his retirement he is doing great service among the youth as a Sunday school coordinator/teacher.
