Mr. M. P Baruch began his career as Supply Pastor in a  Methodist Church in Malysia    : Pastor M.P. Baruch arrived in Malaysia in 1912, with sound theological knowledge and adequate experience in preaching.  During that period of time Bishop  Rt. Rev.William F. Oldham was serving as the  Methodist Resident Bishop of peninsular  Malaysia.  Mr. M.P Baruch easily impressed Bishop William F. Oldham and Mr. M.P. Baruch  was appointed as Supply Pastor of the Seremban Tamil Methodist Church in Negri Sembilan, Malaysia . As Supply Pastor Mr M. P Baruch served the members and the Semban Tamil Methodist Church with great devotion, commitment and efficacy.

Mr. M.P. Baruch  Taught at the Jean Hamilton Memorial School  :  Mr. M.P . Baruch was very intelligent and he was a  grasping reader and his command over Tamil and English was very good  It would be really useful for the students of Church history to read some vital information about Rev. William F Oldham, .Though  Rev William Oldham  was an English man , he was born in Bangalore , India and he could speak fluently in Tamil also.  Rev. William F. Oldham  was one of the founders of Methodist Church in peninsular Malaysia.  As a visionary Methodist Bishop Rev.  William F  Oldham  founded the Jean Hamilton Memorial School  to train the Asian Ministers. Later this School was upgraded as a College with a new name , Trinity College .  Mr M.P Baruch got the privilege to work as a Teacher in this prestigious Institute and  he taught  Tamil, Homiletics, and Music to the students ..  His style and method of teaching and preaching were well appreciated by his students . As a Teacher he made  lasting impression in the minds of his students  His old student  at the Jean Hamilton  Memorial  School  Rev. J.V. Ayaduray used to speak about Mr. M.P. Baruch's enviable method of preaching and teaching  

Mr. M.P. Baruch was a convincing  Preacher :   Pastor Mr M.P. Baruch's sermons were always Christ centred  and Biblical ..  He took real care and effort to take appropriate and relevant notes from the Bible and other relevant Resource books  for his sermons and generally his sermons were filled with philosophical fragrance and essence  According Mr. M.P Baruch, human life was a value transcending all values. 

He Was a Talented Musician   :   It would be apt to remember one fact that he was a relative of the great Tamil Christian Lyricist and Poet late Mr John Palmer of Mylaudy . It is said  that he knew the original  tunes of John Palmer's lyrics   Sri. M.P Baruch knew the mettu [specie] for each of the lyrics of Poet John Palmer [Ja.Pa]. Not only he but also his children were also very good singers and instrumental players especially his son Mr Joshua Baruch could compose , sing and play Violin, . It is apt to remember here that his daughter Ms. Boosie Perinbam's son Bishop  Theodore R. Doraisamy's wife Ms Annabella  Christie  hailed from a musical family that  had the blessed privilege  to produce  great musicians like Pianist  Padma Sri. Handel Manuel,  Music Composer and Singer Dr, Anand Chellappa , Violinist  Mr. Shadrack  and so on .  

Conclusion  :  After his retirement from teaching job he moved to Malacca,in Malaysia  where his daughter Ms Annie was living; it is said, Malacca looked like  Nanjil Nadu in those days and Malacca was filled and covered  with  fertile pretty paddy fields like Nanjil Nadu    Mr. M.P. Baruch stayed with his daughter Ms Annie for many decades till his death    His daughter  Miss. Annie looked after her beloved dad  Mr. M.P. Baruch like a Mother. He was loved by his wife Ms Joanna Baruch, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and by the public  . His friends and relatives called him ,Father Baruch . His photograph was published some years ago in a Souvenir in Malacca with the caption, " Grand Old Man of Malacca ". Among the Methodists he was well known as the grandfather of Rev Theodore R Doraisamy.  Every man born is bound to die  Father M.P. Barauch lived a full  life in line with the Psalm 128 and died at the ripe age of 93. His funeral service was attended by his relatives and friends in large numbers and the funeral service was conducted by his beloved grandson Rev. Theodore .R .Duraisamy and Rev.V.A. Chelliah and the service at the cemetery was conducted by the Church of England Pastor . Really Father Mr. M. P Barauch was  not only a Grand Old Man and but also a Great Man  and we are proud him.

Introduction     Late Mr. Masillamonie Perinbanayagam Baruch  [Mr. M.P Baruch ] was a multifaceted personality; he was a Musician, School Teacher, Preacher and a Great Man  who paid little  importance to material things and worldly blessings.. He was born in a beautiful village near Nagercoil in former South Travancore state [ Kanyakumari district]  but he lived major part of his life in Malaysia [ Malacca ] and Singapore . He was the maternal grandfather of former Methodist Bishop of Malaysia & Singapore late Dr. Theodore R. Doraisamy. A perusal of Mr. M.P. Baruch's forgotten and unsung life history will open some new chapters in  Indian and Malaysian Church history and enlighten the readers with spiritual spark and positive and ideal  goals

Mr. M. P . Baruch's Birth and Parents   : On the North of Nagercoil near Erachakulam, there lies a beautiful idyllic village called Dennispuram and in this village there lived a pious man by name Mr. Masillamonie Perinbanayagam with his wife  and to this couple Mr Baruch was born in Dennispuram . and Mr Baruch was the only son of Mr M. Perinbanayagam .  As an young man of twenty Mr.M. Perinbanayagam became a full time  Minister  of God, he associated himself with the famous Christian LMS Pastor of Dennispuram Rev C. Masillamani 

His marriage and Children  :  Mr . Barauch willingly decided to become a Pastor like his father and so after having successfully finished necessary Theological Training course; Mr M.P. Baruch worked as an LMS  Pastor in  South Travancore  for many years before moving to Malaysia .Pastor M.P. Baruch married a pretty and intelligent young lady by name Ms Joanna .and she  hailed from a good Christian family in South Travancore. Pastor M. P. Baruch and Ms Joanna Baruch couple  gave birth to the following children namely :- [1]  Ms. Alice George, , [2] Ms. Boosie Perinbam, {3] Mr. Perinbamani [4] Mr.Abraham, [5] Mr.Joshua, [6] Ms Annie, [7] Ms Grace [ I am not sure whether the names are  given  in the filial order ]

Mr M. P Baruch and his Family Moved to Singapore/ Malaysia   : Mr M.P. Baruch's daughter Ms Boosie Perinbam was married to Mr Robert Doraisamy, the only son of Pastor Mr. Royappa  of Madura Mission, [ ABCFM ], on May 31, 1911.at Nagercoil Home Church ..After a few months from his marriage, Mr Roberat Doraisamy got  a Teacher job in the Anglo Chinese School in  Singapore and so he left his pregnant wife  Ms Boosie Robert Doraisamy under the custody of her parents at Nagercoil and  went to Singapore..   Ms Boosie Robert Doraisamy gave birth to a male child [ Bishop Theodore R. Doraisamy ] on the 12th April ,1912 at Mead street Nagercoil .. . On the invitation of her husband Mr Robert Doraisamy; Ms Boosie Doraisamy made arrangement  for her  voyage  to Singapore with the new born male child .   Ms Boosie's mother Ms Joanna Baruch accompanied her daughter Ms.Boosie Perinbam  Doraisamy and the infant child to Singapore along with Ms.Boosie Perinbam's other four younger siblings   Ms Boosie Doraisamy and the  group landed in  Singapore on 9th  November 1912.. Mr. Robert Doraisamy welcomed his wife and his  new born son and others with joy..   But even before Ms  Boosie Perinbam Doraisamy and Ms Joanna Baruch and group landed in Singapore, Mr M.P. Baruch's eldest daughter  Ms Alice Joseph and Mr Baruch's  son Mr Perinbamani and Mr M.P Baruch were  in Malaysia, already

Mr Sathish Kumar's Sibling :  Mr .A. Monickam and  Ms  Y.Mercy couple  gave birth to a daughter also by name Ms. Shyla Jane and she was married to  Mr Ajit Nareen and  this couple is blessed with two kids namely :[1] Ajay and [2] Jaden

Mr . Sathish Kumar's Education    :   As both of his parents were working in Chennai ,Mr Sathish Kumar did his School education at the famous Nidhi Higher Secondary School, Chennai  and after having passed his Plus two examination he did his B.E[ Mechanical ] at the well known Sri Sidhartha Institute of Technology at Tumkur , karnataka  and passed his BE  meritoriously . Mr Sathish Kumar successfully did his MBA at the famous Anna University, Chennai 

His Wife and Children           : Many decades ago there lived a blessed couple in Nanjil Nadu, Kanyakumari district, by name Mr K. Thangiah , B.A, L,T and Ms Grace Jesubai Thangiah and both of them hailed from illustrious Christian families and  K Thangiah and Ms Grace Jesubai  couple's eldest daughter Ms Lally Saroja married  Mr Er Nallathambi and  Mr Nallathambi and Ms Lally Saroja couple's  daughter Ms Sheeba Malini was married to Mr. Sathish Kumar  .  Mr..Sathish Kumar and Ms Sheeba Malini Sathish Kumar couple gave birth to the following children namely ;[1] Ms .S.Blessy, M.Sc [ BioTech], and she aspires to do MBBS course  [2] Mr S. Shyam [doing 12th standard] and [3] Mr.S Joshua [  10th standard].

Mr Sathish Kumar's Professional Track   :Mr Sathish Kumar has a rich experience of 24 years  in the field of Automotive industry.. Mr Sathish Kumar  was trained in DENSO Japan at NISHO Plant -1- for one month after joining DENSO Haryana on August 1999. This was his first visit outside India.   He was also trained by DENSO Sr Trainer in South Korea - Deajung for Supplier Development for 40 days in 2001 and this was his second foreign trip.  Now he has been  working as the Head of  three Divisions  in Wadia Group  namely  : Automotive Group,- Electromags Group and the Quality Control Department. and  since  26th  March 2019 he is promoted and is working as the Deputy General Manager of the above said three Divisions of  Wadia Group in Chennai   with great dedication and efficacy .. 

Conclusion         :  Mr Sathish Kumar is a remarkable personality. He is a real  born again Christian believer and in tune with his long cherished desire  he visited Yoido Paul Yongi Cho Church in Seoul in Korea on the 9th September 2010.  He is blessed to visit USA  three times , he made his first trip to US  in 2017 and two trips  in 2018.  Now he has become an authority in Automotive industry and manufacturing , It will be pertinent to mention an important event here that " Karpagam" Academy of Higher Education in Coimbatore , a deemed University conducted a National Level Technical Symposium , " ECTRIX  " on 19th February 2019 and to this Symposium Mr Sathish Kumar , B.E, M.B.A was invited as the Guest of Honor  and Mr Sathish  Kumar graced the Symposium by his participation and presence. . Thus his expertise in automotive  industry is being recognized by famous  educational and research Institutions and Academics. . In his leisure time he and his wife  give messages  through Manam TV on general topics like " Christian Marriage" in the light of the Bible  Definitely Mr Sathish Kumar will reach still higher official Posts and Designations and bring glory to his family and the nation  . Devadas Abel with his lovely wife Mrs Johabet Abel  [ Mrs Johabet Abel was a close relative Dr. Manuel [ Father of  the renowned Pianist Padma Sri Handel Manuel ] and this couple's son Mr Johnson Moses Abel was working in the Western  Railways,and it is  appropriate to remember one important fact that  Mr Johnson Moses Abel  served as a Leader of the Western Railways Employees Union [ WREU ] for some years with efficacy.   Mr Johnson Moses Abel  married a cute young woman by name Ms Victoria [ D/ o Mr. Lazarus alias Mr. Panchali ] from an illustrious Christian family from a lovely idyllic village called Osaravilai  near Mylaudy  in Kanyakumari District.  Mr Johnson Abel  and Mrs Victoria Johnson Abel couple gave birth to  Mr. Abel Sam Johnson  on the 2nd  August 1957 at Osaravilai village,  Agastheeswaram Taluk in Kanyakuamari district .

 Mr Abel Sam Johnson's Colourful School Days   : Mr. Abel Sam Johnson  began his school education at the Mount Mary High  School in Goregaon, Mumbai  on the 20th of June 1962.  Young Abel Sam was not only brilliant in his studies but also in extra curricular activities.  While he was studying in the Mount Mary High  School he rocked the stage and won competitions in the  Inter School Competitions. and brought laurels to the school.   He belonged to the second batch of S.S.C students of the Mount Mary High School  and Mr Abel Sam Johnson  passed his SSC  examination in the year 1973 [ Poona Board ]

.Mr. Abel Sam Johnson began  His Professional Career as  Physics Lecturer   ; After having passed his M.Sc[Physics] in first class, Mr Abel Sam Johnson began his career as a Physics Lecturer at his Alma mater,  Patkar college, Goregaon,  Mumbai and  worked for some period of time. And  then he worked as Physics Lecturer at the famous  Kirti College, Dadar, West Mumbai,for  some period of time  After that Mr Abel Sam Johnson joined  B.P.L, and worked as a Marketing Executive in the Industrial Electronics Division of BPL and this experience in BPL honed his hidden marketing skill

                         
Mr Abel Sam Johnson's Career in ONGC    :   After having successfully cleared the ONGC Recruitment Examination, Mr Abel Sam Johnson joined the O.N.G.C in the year 1984 as a  Geophysicist and following that he was given an induction Training in Geology and Geophysics in the Roorke University., Uttrakhand . Mr Abel Sam Johnson's first assignment was with Naliya , Kutch and he in association with Vibroseis Field Party, conducted seismic Survey in Naliya, Jakhau, Mandvi, Jangadia,and collected seismic data. .Then he and his Field Party  did seismic surveys in Gujarat state for 6 years. In 1990 with the help of the  MV Anweshak Vessel he and  his Field Party conducted seismic survey in Bombay offshore by using air gun and hydrophones.. Mapping  the ocean bed sediments  of Mumbai offshore continuously was a challenging job to Mr Abel Sam. Johnson and his exploring team  He was transferred  to Assam in the year 2003 and there he and his Field Party did survey the  Assam Arakan Basin in the tough terrain and hurdle surroundings. Afterwards Mr. Abel Sam Johnson  was transferred to Chennai in 2006 and he continued oil and gas exploration by doing seismic survey in Cavery basin in Tamil Nadu and Krishna Godavari basin in Andrapradesh. Mr Abel Sam  served ONGC in various capacities; he served as Exploration Leader in ONGC and discovered some noteworthy Oil and Gas reserve Springs underneath the Earth for India.and won accolades Mr Abel Sam Johnson represented O.N.G.C in the Society of Exploration Geophysicists' [SEG] Meet held  in Houston , USA.

                    
His Visionary Villa in Auroville  near Pondichery      :  .  A cherished  desire which Mr Abel Sam Johnson was passionately holding with him to be a part of an international commune was fulfilled by having his own Villa with provision for Art Gallery at Auroville near Podichery, covering an area of
3500 square feet  as per his vision and imagination .. It will be pertinent to have some idea about Auroville Village. Auroville is place near Pondichery dedicated to the ideal of human unity based on the vision of Sri Aurabindo and Mother Mirra Alfassa , it exudes vibration of calmness , spirituality and creativity .

He has been serving as the President of the Association of Scientific and Technical officers,[ASTO] Chennai for 5 years exhibiting his matured leadership qualities.  He is a Life Member of the Society of Petroleum Geophysicists, India . Post retirement life led him to start a start up LACHACH Consultancy Pvt Ltd in Chennai  for Recruitment, Training and Business School for the marginalized group of the society. Now Mr Abel Sam Johnson resides in Chennai with his wife Ms Sujatha Sam , M.Sc,[FSMD] , son Mr Ibrahim Sam, B.Com, MBA and daughter Ms Karen Sam , B.Arch [ Architect]. Sri. Introduction :  Mr Devnath Ponniah is  a colorful multi-faceted personality. Almighty God has blessed him with  many talents and creative gifts  ; he is a great  Photographer, a versatile Artist,  good  Key Board Player, eloquent Speaker ,  shrewd Negotiator,  able Administrator, accomplished   Banker  and so on. A perusal of his life trajectory will easily and conspicuously confirm that he is a hard worker and a very intelligent person and he has become an Assistant  General Manger of IOB [ Indian Overseas Bank ,] by his relentless hard work and competence. His profile will definitely  give  inspiration  and hope to the younger generations to reach great heights  in life  through tireless and relentless hard work .Some are born great and some achieve greatness and Mr. Devnath Ponniah  belongs to the second category. and by virtue of his many fold accomplishments he has become a milestone  in the  social , cultural and banking history of Kanyakumari District and Tamil Nadu.

His Birth and Parents : Mr. Devanath Poniah was born  as a male child at Nagercoil, kanyakuamari District , to Mr Ponniah  and Mrs  Thangamuthu Ponniah couple on 10th May 1957..Mr. Ponniah and Mrs. Thangamuthu Ponniah couple  is  blessed with three smart daughters also.

   

Devnath's Education :  Young  smart Devnath Ponnaih did his  Primary School education at the Lutheran Primary School Vadasery and  Gothai Gramam Government Primary School. Mr. Devnath  Ponnaih did his High School at the famous S.M.R.V School at Vadesery, Nagercoil. Then he joined for his P.U.C at the famous S.T. Hindu College Nagercoil  and in the same college he did his B.Sc[ [Zoology --1977 ]

Young Devnath  Ponniah won many  prestigious competitions at the University level : Devanath Ponniah is a great  creative person.  From childhood he showed great promise in Pencil Drawing and during his college days he won  the First Prize in Pencil Drawing at the Inter Collegiate Competition ofthe Maduarai Kamaraj University and also  he won  Second prize in Photography Competition and received the Prize  Medals  in 1977 from the then Vice Chancellor of M.K University Dr. V.C Kulandaisamy . In the same year in the Inter-Collegiate Photography Competition conducted at the  Tanil nadu State level he won 2 medals out of the total  8 medals 

Mr. Devnath Ponniah, B.Sc, joined as a Clerk in State Bank of India;   After having passed his B.Sc Mr Devnath Ponniah passed his clerical Examination  conducted by the SBI and joined in S.B.I as a Clerk in 1980 at the Kuzhithurai SBI branch,  Kanyakuamri Distirct. and he worked in the same branch nearly for one year in the same cadre.  

Mr. Devnaath Ponniah  was selected as a Probationary Officer in IOB :  His natural fire and urge for advancement and achievement propelled Mr. Devnath Ponniah  to aspire for greater places in  life  and so our Dynamic Devanath Ponniah sat for his probationary Officer Examination  conducted by the IOB and cleared the examination with ease and joined as a Probationary Officer  in I.O.B in 1981.. Since the then there was no turning back.

Mr. Devnath Ponniah and his wife Mrs. Malathy Rani Devnath  :   Young and energetic Devnath Ponniah married Ms. Malathy Rani , daughter of Mr Thangkappan and Mrs kannimarial Thangkappan of Nagercoil and Mr  Devnath  Ponniah and Malathy Rani couple's marriage was conducted at Nagercoil in a grand manner .  Mrs. Malathy Rani Devnath  is not only beautiful  but also  is a creative  home maker and planner;  unhesitatingly we can say that she is the galvanizing  and inspirational force for  Devnath Ponniah's successful life  in all fronts .

                  

Mr.Devnath Ponniah and Mrs.Malathy Rani Devnath Couple's Children :  God has blessed Mr Devnath Ponniah and Mrs Malathy Rani Devnath couple with two cute and intelligent daughters  namely:[1] Ms. Anugraha Devnath and [2] Ms. Archana Devnath .Ms Anugraha Devnath  did her B.E in Computer Science  at the famous Thiyagarajar College of  Engineering , Madurai  Ms Anugraha Devnath B.E has married Mr. Stephen Babu M.C.A. .Mr Stephen Babu was working in C.TS. in Chennai and now for the last few years Stephen Babu has been working in USA  on Site Assignment . Mr Stephen Babu and Mrs Anugraha Devnath Stephen Babu Couple is blessed with a cute daughter by name Andrea Stephen and a smart son by name  Andrew Stephen .Now Anugraha Devanth Stephen is living in USA. with her husband and their loving children  .{2] Mrs Archana Devnath   like her sister after having done her  high School and Higher Secondary School Education at the famous C.S.I Higher Secondary Matriculation School, Nagercoil, she  did her B.E at the famous Panimalar Institute of Technology , Chennai . She was an Achiever in education, Archana Devnath stood first in her  class and bagged prize money of Rs.10,000= twice from the College Administration . Recently she has married Mr Suthan Philips , B.Tech, [M.E }and Suthan Philips is   working with Amazon as Cloud Engineer in U.S.A and Mrs Archana Devnath Suthan Philips has recently joinedher  beloved husband  who is working now  in USA .

Mr. Denath Ponniah in I.O.B :  Since Mr Devnath Ponniah  joined as a Probationary Officer in I.O.B in 1981, for the last nearly 36 years he has been  efficaciously working in the I.O.B. . And during this long period he has decorated many  Posts and  discharged official  responsibilities  with high dignity  in an enviable manner. .  From the very beginning he was very active and  proved his efficiency in his official work and while  Mr. Devnath Ponniah  was working at IOB Eraniel Branch , in Kanyakumari District, as Branch Manager,  he  was appreciated  with an Award by then District Collector Mrs Jothi Nirmala, IAS, for opening maximum number of Self Help Groups [SHGs] in Kanyakuami District.  In 2013 he was promoted as Senior Manager and was transferred  to Calcutta and accordingly  he worked as Senior Manager in I.O.B ,Calcutta during 2011- 2013.  . In 2013 he was transferred to Kanyakumari District to assume charge as Lead District Manager, at Nagercoil , Kanyakumari district   As Lead District Manager he functioned in a very efficient and effective  manner and won the love and respect of the District Administration  and the Public.

Mr Devnath Ponniah was Promoted as Assistant General Manager [ AGM ] in 2014 : In 2014 Mr Devnath Ponnaih was promoted as Assistant General Manager and posted at the I.O.B Guindy branch, in Chennai. He worked at the Guindy IOB branch as AGM in charge of  Small, Marginal Entrepreneurs Advance [ SME -Credit ] Section nearly for two years. In 2016 he was transferred to the IOB Nehru Park Branch, Chennai and  currently at this IOB Branch  he has been working  as AGM in a very efficacious manner . He is to be  retired from  IOB  banking service  during  May 2017.

Conclusion : Mr. Devnath Ponniah is a colorful personality . His  curled mustache  adds additional attraction to his  physical look , and his generous and kind mental out look  makes him, as a dear and respected person to everyone around  him and  known him and known to him . When ever he is filled with some worries he  takes his Guitar or Key Board and plays some favorite songs and forgets his melancholy. When he is in creative mood he takes his pencil and paper draws some beautiful sketches . He loves books and camera  and his grand-children very much .                                   Mr.S. Bhaskaran , M.Sc [ Agri ], M.B.A, J.A.I.I.B

Introduction :    Recently retired Assistant General Manager of Indian Overseas Bank Mr. S.  Bhaskaran, M.Sc[Agri] M.B.A, J.A.I.I.B , is one of the colorful and remarkable  sons of Kanyakumari District.  He is really a man of letters  His  relentless search and thirst for knowledge had made him a distinctive personality among bank employees. It is pertinent  to mention here that  purely for the sake of knowledge even during his advanced stage of life he registered himself as a Ph.D research student  in the prestigious  N.I Engineering University, Kanyakumari District, and  had completed his Ph.D course  and is working for the  final submission of his  Ph.D dissertation . His enviable accomplishment  in the field of banking , education, administration , teaching , planning, social service,etc, have made him  a noteworthy  milestone in the social, banking and educational history of Kanyakumari District and Tamil Nadu.

His Birth and Parents:   Mr. S. Bhaskaran was born on 28th March, 1957 to his beloved parents Mr. S. Swamy and Mrs, N, Pooranam Swamy  at Nagercoil , in an  intelligent family. and  it will be useful here to mention that  Mr.S. Bhaskaran's father Mr. S. Swamy  was a first cousin of  US educated Mr . Shanmugavel ,a  former Chief Labor Commissioner of  the then undivided Madras Presidency 

Mr. S. Bhaskaran's  Siblings and their families  :  Mr. S. Bhaskaran's beloved parents were blessed with two smart sons and one lovely daughter namely :[1] Mr..S. Velappan, B.A,[2] Mrs. Saraswathy and [3] Mr S. Bhaskaran . Mr S. Velappan, B.A, retired as an Assistant Director of Hand-looms and Mr Velappan is blessed with two smart sons  and both of his sons are engineers . Mrs Saraswathy is  living in Chennai with her family as a  successful Home Maker 

Mr. S . Bhaskaran's education : Mr Bhaskaran  was a studious and smart student from the very beginning of his Primary School days. He did his High School education at the Government High School, Edalakudy, Nagercoil  and did his PUC at the famous S.T. Hindu College, Nagercoil  and passed  PUC with flying colors . After his PUC he joined the famous Agricultural University, Madurai   in 1975 for his B.Sc [Agri ] and passed his B.Sc {Agri ] in 1971.  He joined.in the same Agricultural University Madurai in 1982 for his M. Sc {Agri] and successfully completed his M.Sc[Agri ] in 1984.

He worked a Lecturer :After having  passed his M.Sc[Agri ] with colors, Mr. S. Bhaskaran  joined as  a Lecturer at the  famous Agricultural University Madurai in 1984 and continued  to work as a Lecturer only for six months. 

Mr. S. Bhaskaran's wife and Children : Mr. S Bhaskaran married Mrs. P. Susila, B.Sc [Agri ], from Nagercoil.  on 27th October , 1985  . Mrs P. Susila Bhaskaran is  now working as Deputy Director of Agriculture department , Government of Tamilnadu.   Mr. S. Bhaskaran  and his beloved wife P. Susila Bhaskaran couple is blessed with one cute  daughter by name Mrs. Shabana Preethi Vijay , B. Tech  and a smart son by name Mr. B. Pratheep Kumar, M. Sc [Nursing], MBA [Hospital Management],. Ms. Shabana Preethi  married Mr. . Vijay, B.Sc[ Forestry] , I.F.S[ Indian Forest service]. Mr. Vijay IFS  was working as Deputy Conservator of Forests in Kotta, in Rajasthan and he was promoted as Conservator of Forests and he is  now working as a faculty member at the prestigious Central Academy for State Forest Officers .

Mr. S. Baskaran's  colorful banking career : During the later part of 1984 Mr S. Bhaskaran joined Syndicate Bank, Taliparamba , Kerala State, as Rural Development Officer . In 1985 he joined Indian Overseas Bank , Trichy as Agri Manager. Afterwards there was no turning back, he became one of the very popular  and efficacious Bank Officers in IOB,  and as a result he was appointed as Lead District Manager on 1997, and he served  as a productive and innovative  Lead District Manager till 2002 .He was privileged to serve as Lead  District Manager [KK Dist ]   for two terms

Awards won by Mr. Bhaskar ;  He was a recipient  of National Award for Implementation of Government  Programme especially, THADCO Scheme and  he also received the Best Performance Award  while he was serving as Chief Manager  at Saidapet IOB Branch continually for three years[ 2011- 2014 ].

Some special high lights about him : Mr. S. Bhaskaran has worked as Guest Lecturer to teach Financial Management  at the NI Engineering University, Kumarapuram, KK Dist for about three years. While he was efficaciously serving as  Lead District Manager he had the privilege to attend many state level and national level conferences at Delhi, Lucknow, Gujarat and so on.  Because of his natural thirst for knowledge  Mr S. Bhaskaran  has completed his PhD research course at NI Engineering University and  at present  he working for the final submission of his  Ph. D dissertation 

He was promoted as AGM :  While Mr Bhaskaran was working  as Chief Manager at Saidapet IOB branch, he was promoted and he joined as Assistant General Manager in the Regional Office, Coimbatore in 2015. In 2016 he was posted as Head of Inspectorate in Trivandrum and he retired from IOB Banking service on 31st March, 2017. 

Conclusion : Mr. S. Bhaskaran is intellectually and physically an attractive personality. His thirst for knowledge  and and his drive for advancement in life through higher education are  the hall makrk qualities of his inner personality.   After retirement he  resides in his beautiful house at Nagercoil  and leads a pleasant and peaceful life with his family .As a  former  PG student of agriculture , he loves agriculture and gardening so much and so  he regularly visits his spacious garden and spend his time in the garden with the tress and plants.  His life is definitely an example and inspiration to many  to come up in life . Definitely he has achieved greatness in his life .

Introduction   :     A  Former Deputy General Manager of the Reserve of India  Mr.S. Selvaraj,[ Mr. Shankar ] M.A, is really a remarkable man, he is intelligent , unassuming, hard working, efficacious , nice human-being, efficient  Banker and an unsung Achiever .  From a very humble lower middle class background he reached enviable height as D.G.M  in the most important premier Banking  Institution of India [ RBI }.. He achieved greatness in life with the help  his consistent  hard work, and sharp intelligence.  and has become a trendsetter to the younger  generation, specially to those who hail from poor financial background.

Mr S. Selvaraj's Parents and Birth    : \ Beautiful Puthery lake lies on the northern side of Nagercoil town and it  connects Nagercoil town and Puthery village; and on the western side of Puthery lake there lies a beautiful idyllic village called Puzhiady  In Puzhiady village some time ago there lived a farmer  by name Mr Sankar alias Solomon  [His forefathers were natives of nearby Dennispuram],with his cute wife Ms Inbamuthu Sankar. Mr Sankar and Ms Inbamuthu Sankar couple gave birth to a male child  on the 5th March 1952, at Puzhiady. and they named their infant son, Selvaraj

Mr S.Selvaraj's  Education   :  Mr S.Selvaraj was a brilliant and studious student since his Elementary School  days. and he did his Primary School education at the Government Primary School at Kalungady village, which lies at the northern end of Nagercoil  He continued his High School studies at the famous S.M.R.V school in Nagercoil and passed his S.S.L.C in the year 1968 with good marks. Then he pursued his P.U.C,  B,A, and M.A {Economics] at the prestigious Scott Christian College Nagercoil and passed his M.A[Economics[] in March 1974.

His  Wife  Ms K Manonmani Selvaraj and family      :  Mr S. Selavaraj married  Ms K. Mamonmani, B.Sc. M.A.[ Now a Rtd Staff of State Bank of India] a daughter of Mr Rayan and Ms kanakam Rayan {Mr Rayan  was a Head Master of  a School  and also he was a Malayalam Pandit/teacher ] from Perumpuzhi that lies near Marthandam in kanyakumari District. In this context it would be good and useful  to have some idea about Ms K. Manonmani's siblings and her  siblings are as follows:-;[A] Ms Prabavathy is married to Mr Abraham [Teacher] from Navalkadu   and this couple is  blessed with two daughters namely:-[1]Ms Priya , B.E. M.B.A , and she works as an officer at the Federal Bank of India and [2] Ms.Ramya , B.E, M.B .A, is working at the Karur Vaisya Bank as an officer.,{B] Ms Rajambal and she worked as  Government  Nurse and retired  [C] Mrs Padma [Teacher ] is married to Mr. Tamil Selvan [ Teacher] ,[D]Mr Vijaya Rajan,  worked in the Indian Railways and now retired and lives at Vunnamalai kadai, [E]Mr Raj Kumar lives in Bombay [F]Mr. Raj Mohan , and he works as Manager at  the District Cooperative Bank Branch at Colachel ,  married and his children are studying in schools.

Mr Selvaraj Couple's Children     : Mr Selavaraj and Ms K.Manonmani Selvaraj couple is blessed with a son and a daughter namely :- [1] Mr.S.Sagar, M.B.A, he works in a private Company in Bangalore ,[2] Ms Shalini Gabriel, M.A[English], M.Phil, is married to Mr Gabriel Jerome., M.C.A [He now works as a manager in a Software Company in Chennai ] on  the 27th May , 2016.. Ms Shalini Gabriel and Mr Gabriel Jerom  couple is blessed with a lovely daughter and a smart son. Ms Shalini Gabriel works as an  English Lecturer in Valliammal College for Women in  Chennai .

Mr. Selvaraj's Professional Career   : Sri S Selavaraj began his professional career as an Assistant at the Sub-Treasury office at Namakkal,[ The native place of the great Tamil Poet Sri V. Ramalingam Pillai]  and worked in the same capacity at the same office from September  1975 to January 1977 And  then he worked as an Assistant at the Chennai Government Secretariat in the Finance Department from January 1977 to November 1977:.in the meantime he wrote the RBI banking recruit ment examination  for the post of Economic Assistant and passed the examination. and so  he joined as an Economic Assistant in the Economics Department , Reserve Bank Of India , Mumbai in November 1977 and worked in the same cadre  till he was promoted as Assistant manager in 1987.. He worked as Assistant Manager  with great efficacy till 1996[ 1987--1996 ]  and in 1996 he was promoted as Manager and he worked at the Training Division in the Department of Administration, RBI, Mumbai . In the year 2001 Mr Selvaraj was promoted as Assistant \General Manager . and transferred to Bangalore  and he was working as AGM of  RBI  in Bangalore  with distinction till he was transferred to Chennai in 2007 He worked with great vision and dedication  as A.G.M of RBI in Chennai  from 2007 to 2010. In   March  2010  Sri S. Selvaraj was promoted as Deputy General Manager [ DGM] and he worked as DGM in the RBI in Chennai  with great promise and enviable efficacy and in March 2012 he retired as Deputy General Manager [March 2010--March 2012] from active service of the Reserve Bank of India 

Conclusion   : Mr S.Selvaraj's  professional achievement deserves our  appreciation and applause. . From  an unknown or a little  known village  he  qualified himself to occupy the prestigious office of  Deputy General Manger in RBI; and that was not an easy task rather it was an uphill task but without any moral support from any influential quarters, Mr S. Selvaraj   has done it   He is not only an efficient Bank officer  but also he is a complete and compassionate human being; he loved his fellow citizens and served them with great integrity and responsibility  and  always he has a soft corner for the poor, last and  lost . He has found a place  for his native village in the banking , financial and social map of India  It is important and imperative to mention here one important point that his  loving wife and beloved children  always stood  and stand as a great support to him in all his endeavors..  I end this Article with the following line ,"Mr S. Mr. Selvaraj  and St John's College , Palayamcottah     :  After his S.S.L.C , Mr Selvaraj wanted to do his P.U.C at the St John's College Palayamcottah and the Principal of St John's college Mr Vethasironmony, on seeing Mr. Selvaraj's marks happily admitted him to the P.U.C in the year 1963.  After having meritoriously passed his P.U.C, Mr Selvaraj pursued his B.Sc [ Botany ] in the same  College.  Throughout his undergraduate studies Mr Selvaraj was scoring very high marks and won the hearts of the Principal  Mr Vethasironmony, teachers and the fellow students by his exemplary study record   and friendly behaviour. As he hailed from a poor family he was repeatedly failing to pay his tuition fees in time,  during such situations Mr Vethasironmony helped Selvarj  to pay the college fees and  continue his studies .Soon after Mr Selvaraj passed his B.Sc his Professor Mr Thompson [ Nagercoil ] and the Principal Mr Vethasironmony appointed Mr.Selvaraj as a Botany Demonstrator in St John's College. He worked efficaciously  as a Demonstrator for two years and saved Rs 3000= for his higher studies.

He did his M.Sc at the MCC. Thambaram, Chennai   : Mr Selvaraj got his admission at the prestigious Madras Christian College, Chennai for his M.Sc[ Botany ] in the year 1969. In the year 1971 Mr Selvaraj meritoriously passed his M.Sc [ Botany] and he was appointed as a Botany Lecturer at the Madras Christian College  by the Principal Dr Chandra Devanesan. 

His Higher Studies   : While working as a Lecturer at the Botany Department, M.C.C Mr Selvaraj got the opportunity to pursue his M,Phil degree at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Botany, Madras University. After his M.Phil Dr. Selavaraj passed his PhD degree in 1984

Dr. K. Selvaraj and his Wife and her Family     : Dr. Selvaraj married Ms.Banumathi, M.A, M.Ed  in the year 1975{  she worked as a teacher at the Civil Aviation Middle School, Meenambakam, Chennai.] and she is a native of Manappadu. and she belongs to the family of Dr Baliah, M.B.B.S, M.D and Mr Manoharan, B.E, I.R.S,E [Former Indian Railway Board Member --2016] . It would be really useful to the micro historians and the readers to have some important information about Ms Banumathi Selvaraj's family background.  Ms Banumathi's father's sister was married to Mr Subiah Thasildar of Kulasekarapattinam and Mr Subiah Thasildar and Mrs Subbiah  couple gave birth to Mr.Dr. S. Baliah , M.B.B.S, M.D and Mr. S. Manoharan, B.E, I.R.S.E. 

Dr. K Selvaraj 's Children   :  Dr; K Selvaraj and Ms Banumathi Selvaraj couple gave birth to the following children namely :- [1] Ms Abeena Shathani, M.Sc M.Phil  and she works as a Teacher in a college.and  [2] Mr. Allen Selvaraj, M.Sc, M.Phil-I.T and he is working in USA 

Conclusion   : Dr. Selvaraj  started his professional career as a Botany Lecturer at the famous Madras Christian College in the year 1971 and he retired as a Professor of Botany in the year 2004.  As an efficacious Teacher he won the love and respect  of his students and colleagues. He had successfully guided one PhD student and 32 M.Phil students. Actually he was an inspiring model and force  to many students and staff members . He is a multifaceted personality. . He is a  born Artist blessed with inherent creative spark . He started to develop  his artistic talent since his school days .He has exhibited his Paintings in the premises of the Madras Christian College many a time and won the appreciations of the viewers and Art lovers. . Nearly 35 of his Oil Paintings are adorning the walls of the Botany Department, M.C.C, Thambaram, Chennai. and  the walls of Student Hostels , in  M.C.C , Chennai,.  On his retirement from the Madras Christian College he was invited to teach in the  Lakshmiraman Matriculation School at Palayamcottah [ IIPE ],  While staying  at the premises of  I.I.P.E  school he  had the privilege to conduct coaching classes for the students of Hilton Matriculation School, Tirunelveli  and Bharath Matriculation School at Courtalam for their  Medical Entrance Examination  [ MBBS ] .Apart from these above mentioned schools he also  taught the students of many other schools in Palayamcottah for their Medical Entrance Examination . In Palayamcottah area Dr. Selvaraj stayed for nearly four years and  was conducting coaching classes for the aspiring students for their medical entrance examinations. Now he lives in Tambaram with his family and currently he is a blessed grandfather . His  praiseworthy travel from the sandy street of Karikoil into the prestigious educational campus of Madras Christian College deserves great appreciation.  Dr Selavaraj's real life story will definitely inspire many rural poor youth to Dream High and reach high places in life  like him. We are proud of Dr K. Selvaraj, M.Sc, Ph.D.
