Educationist , Mathematician, A Pioneer High School Head Master in Kanyakumari District Sri. Vethanayagam Sebagnanam, B.A, L.T

Introduction  :Sri Vethanayagam Sebagnanam, B.A, L.T, was one of the outstanding and pioneer High School Head Masters in Kanyakumari District[ South Travancore ]. He was born in one of the illustrious, influential and educated families in Kanyakumari District [ South Travancore ]. He was a dedicated Educationist and served the cause of education with great efficacy and vision  . His untold story will inspire the readers and the younger generation with  thirst for knowledge and education .

Sri.V. Sebagnanam's  Parents and Birth   : .Sri. V. Sebagnanam\'s parents Mr. Vethanayagam and Mrs Perinbam Vethanayagam  were living in a tiny lovely idyllic village called Puzhiyankulam in Agasteeswaram taluk in Kanyakumaari District [ South Travancore ]. and Mr Sebagnanam was born to this couple in the year 1903. 

His Education   : Sri. V. Sebagnanam was a brilliant student since his primary School days and after having passed his High School education [ Matriculation ] he pursued his collegiate education at the famous Scott Christian College Nagercoil ..Since his elementary School days he loved Mathematics and so he passed his B.A [ Mathematics] meritoriously.. After having meritoriously passed his B.A[ Maths], Mr V. Sebagnanam did his L.T at a Training college in Trivandrum and passed his L.T   course and qualified himself to serve as a full-fledged  High School Teacher.teacher.  

His Wife and Children   ;  Mr V. Sebagnanam married Ms  Chinathayi and this couple gave birth to 7 daughters namely ;[1]  Ms. Pangajam  and she was married and gave birth to one son and two daughters., [2] Ms Thilagavathyar and she married Mr Solomon and this couple gave birth to two sons namely [a] Mr. Er.Sam Babu { Construction Engineer]and[b] Mr.Thayalan  . [3] Ms. Saroja, B.A, and she married Mr Gnanasundaram [Rtd as Sub Registrar,  Cooperative dept, Tamil Nadu Govt]   and this couple is blessed with the following children namely[a] Mr. Alfred Suresh Manuel , B.Pham  and [b] ms Anne Mary Magdalene , M.A[ English]. M.Phil, and she is married to Mr Jeya Kumar , B.E., [4] Ms Vetha Vathiyar , B.A and she is married to Mr. Sornam, B.E,  and this couple is blessed with three daughters namely ;[a] Ms. Chithra , M.Phil, and she is married to a pastor and this couple is blessed with a son and a daughter ,[b] Ms. Nanthini, B.E, and she is married to Mr. Babu, B.E,and this couple is blessed with a son and two daughters. and [c]  Ms Dr. Sharmila, MBBS, ,[5] Ms Sathiyavathiyar ,M.A. B.Ed, and she is married to Mr. Nayagam [ He Rtd as a C.E.O, Education Department, Tamil Nadu Government] and this couple is blessed with a son and a daughter, [6] Ms Punithavathiyar, , MSc, M.Ed, and she is  married to Dr Mani , M.Sc, [Agri] , Ph.D and this couple is blessed with the following children namely ;- [a] Mr Dr. Rajan MBBS, M,D,[ He is a Cardiologist]]  and he is married to Ms Dr.Ratha MBBS and this couple is blessed with 2 sons and [b] Ms Anitha Mary BPT is married  and her husband is a Ph.D.and [7] Ms Anantha Valli ,BSc and she is married to  Mr Valluvan [ Rtd as a Manager, SBI] and this couple is blessed with the following children namely :[a] Mr Samuel, ME and he is working in USA and [b] Ms Nithya , Ph.D and  she is married and they  live in USA 

Sri V. Sebegnanam's Professional Career :  After having passed his LT examination Sri V. Sebagnanam joined the famous SMSM High School at Suchindrum as an High School teacher. and then he got Teaching job in the Government Educational Service .. He started his career as a High school teacher and in course of time he was promoted as Head master , He proved himself as a successful Mathematics teacher. He had the privilege to serve as Head Master at the  High School at Aaikudi, Chengottai, and at the  Govt High School at Eraniel and finally he served as H.M at the prestigious Govt High School at Marthandam in an enviable manner with great efficacy till his retirement 

Conclusion  : Sri Vethnayagam Sebagnanam passed away in the year 1969. He was a remarkable person, an efficacious  Mathematics teacher,  he was unassuming and his service to the cause of education will be remembered for long time . His lived a simple life with lofty ideas and ideals  , he is rated as the one best Head Masters ever served and lived in Kanyakumari District. he was a great educationist , and was a blessed husband to his wife and a beloved father to his children  Now a days his children and his grandchildren are shining and have  reached enviable  heights in education and life. Ltd [ A Government of India Enterprise ] Mr. Abel Sam Johnson, M.Sc [ Physics & Electronics] ..Part Final.

Mr. Abel Sam Johnson began  His Professional Career as  Physics Lecturer   ; After having passed his M.Sc[Physics] in first class, Mr Abel Sam Johnson began his career as a Physics Lecturer at his Alma mater,  Patkar college, Goregaon,  Mumbai and  worked for some period of time. And  then he worked as Physics Lecturer at the famous  Kirti College, Dadar, West Mumbai,for  some period of time  After that Mr Abel Sam Johnson joined  B.P.L, and worked as a Marketing Executive in the Industrial Electronics Division of BPL and this experience in BPL honed his hidden marketing skill

Mr Abel Sam Johnson's Career in ONGC    :   After having successfully cleared the ONGC Recruitment Examination, Mr Abel Sam Johnson joined the O.N.G.C in the year 1984 as a  Geophysicist and following that he was given an induction Training in Geology and Geophysics in the Roorke University., Uttrakhand . Mr Abel Sam Johnson's first assignment was with Naliya , Kutch and he in association with Vibroseis Field Party, conducted seismic Survey in Naliya, Jakhau, Mandvi, Jangadia,and collected seismic data. .Then he and his Field Party  did seismic surveys in Gujarat state for 6 years. In 1990 with the help of the  MV Anweshak Vessel he and  his Field Party conducted seismic survey in Bombay offshore by using air gun and hydrophones.. Mapping  the ocean bed sediments  of Mumbai offshore continuously was a challenging job to Mr Abel Sam. Johnson and his exploring team  He was transferred  to Assam in the year 2003 and there he and his Field Party did survey the  Assam Arakan Basin in the tough terrain and hurdle surroundings. Afterwards Mr. Abel Sam Johnson  was transferred to Chennai in 2006 and he continued oil and gas exploration by doing seismic survey in Cavery basin in Tamil Nadu and Krishna Godavari basin in Andrapradesh. Mr Abel Sam  served ONGC in various capacities; he served as Exploration Leader in ONGC and discovered some noteworthy Oil and Gas reserve Springs underneath the Earth for India.and won accolades Mr Abel Sam Johnson represented O.N.G.C in the Society of Exploration Geophysicists' [SEG] Meet held  in Houston , USA.

Auroville is place near Pondichery dedicated to the ideal of human unity based on the vision of Sri Aurabindo and Mother Mirra Alfassa , it exudes vibration of calmness , spirituality and creativity .

Conclusion   : Mr Abel Sam Johnson is a visionary and unassuming  human being and  is blessed with many creative talents. He is a creative Artist, Writer, Poet., Intellectual ,Administrator  and so on  As he fulfilled his passion as an exploration Geophysicist , he enjoyed the beauty and power of nature, logistics, and technical challenges all through his career. Mr Abel Sam Johnson Rtd General Manager of [Geophysics] , ONGC Ltd  and as a Geophysicist he had served ONGC  Ltd, for 33 years and contributed  several Exploration Leads for Oil and Gas in the country. . He has been serving as the President of the Association of Scientific and Technical officers,[ASTO] Chennai for 5 years exhibiting his matured leadership qualities.  He is a Life Member of the Society of Petroleum Geophysicists, India . Post retirement life led him to start a start up LACHACH Consultancy Pvt Ltd in Chennai  for Recruitment, Training and Business School for the marginalized group of the society. Now Mr Abel Sam Johnson resides in Chennai with his wife Ms Sujatha Sam , M.Sc,[FSMD] , son Mr Ibrahim Sam, B.Com, MBA and daughter Ms Karen Sam , B.Arch [ Architect]. Sri. Abel Sam Johnson's intellectual and mental space is so spacious and his potentialities, accomplishments and goals can not be fully covered within the space of this Article .
