Honest, Efficient and Bold Retired Principal Chief Security Commissioner cum IG of Railway Protection Force Sri. C. Thamotharan, M.Sc[Physics]- Part A.

Introduction:. Former Principal Chief Security Commissioner cum Inspector General of Railway Protection Force Sri. C. Thamotharan,,M.Sc [Physics], after having served in the Railway Protection Force from August 1972 to 31st January 2014, retired from Government service in the rank of Joint Secretary, Government of India on 31st January 2013 . He was born  as a son of a school teacher in a lower middle class family, but by his sharp intelligence , perseverance and hard work he reached great heights in his professional career. He served in the Railway Protection Force Department, Indian Railways, without fear or favor and won the hearts and respect of his colleagues, superior officers including Railway Board Members and the general public and  as a corollary many significant awards reached his cap. Definitely his profile will be a model and motivating force for the  youth, police , security personnel, and public servants No doubt  he is a colorful milestone in the educational, social, economic and developmental history of Kanyakumari District , Tamil Nadu and  India.

 His Birth and Parents: Mr. D. Chellaih,M.A[ Tamil] a native of Kannanpudur [located near Chenbagaramanpudur ] married a beautiful young woman by name Ms. Muthammal Dharma Bai from Andithoppu, Boothapandi and to this lovely couple Sri..C. Thamotharan was born on 20th January 1953 at Kannanpudurr in Nanjilnadu, KK Dist . Sri. D. Chelliah was a brilliant man . He did his BA at the famous University College , Trivandrum and his MA [Tamil] at the prestigious ST Hindu College, Nagercoil . After having passed his MA Mr. D,Chellaih  started his teaching career in the School Education Department , Travancore Cochin Government and after the  amalgamation of KK dist with Tamil Nadu he automatically continued his teaching career in the School Education Department of Tamil Nadu Govt . Even though  initially he faced some difficulties he continued his teaching profession and  while  he was working as  PG Assistant {Tamil ] at the Sir C.P Ramaswamy Memorial Higher Secondary.School at Boothapandi  he retired  from active service ,in the year 1984.

His Siblings and families:  Three male children were born to  Mr. D. Chelliah and Ms. Muthammal Dharma Bai Chelliah couple , namely [1] Mr.C.S.S/ Bharathi , [2]Mr. Mano Sentheeswaran ,and [2] Mr. C. Thamotharan . Mr. C.S.S. Bharathi worked with the Doordharshan, Govt of India and retired while he was working as Producer with the Pothigai Channel of Doordharshan Mr. Mano Sentheeswaran is working in Qatar as production engineer. All the brothers are married and well settled in life.

Mr. C. Thamotharan's Educational trajectory ; Young C. Thamotharan pursued his first and second standards   at the then Government Primary School at Sambavar Vadakarai  village[1957-1958] in Tirunelveli Dist, and did his 3rd and 4th standards at the Lutheran Primary School at Chenbaga Ramanputhur, It is interesting to remember here the coincidental  fact that his father Mr. D. Chelliah also studied in this school long ago. . Mr. C.Thamotharan did his 6th and 7th standards at the Government School , at Thuckalay and from  8th std to 11th standard he did at the Sir. C.P Memorial High School at Boothapandi. and  passed his SSLC in 1968.
Mr. C. Thamotharan did his PUC  at the famous Scott Christian College , Nagercoil [1968-1969].. After his P.U.C  he  did his B.Sc[Physics] at the famous Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidhyalaya Arts College, Periyanayakkan palayam, Coimbatore [1969-1972]. and   passed his B.Sc {Physics ] in First class .  He did his M.Sc[ Physics] during the years 1973- 1975 in the same Sri Ramakrishna M.V..Arts.College, Coimbatore .and passed his M.Sc in 1975

An efficacious, Unassuming, Service minded and honest Deputy Chief Engineer , Kerala State Electricity Board, Sri. S. Moses Rajakumar, B.Tech, MBA .

Introduction ;  Sri. S. Moses Rajakumar, B.Tech, MBA, is  currently working as a Deputy Chief Engineer in the Kerala State Electricity Board , Kerala Government.. He is a very efficient , committed and  honest person ; by his hard work, efficacy, intelligence and of course with the blessing of almighty God he has attained this envious position  in the Government of Kerala State... Honesty has become a rare quality or virtue among government servants ,  but in the case of Er. S. Moses Rajakumar , honesty has become a part and parcel of his public and private life and  his honest behavior candidly differentiates him from others. He is loved by the public and government  for his corruption free attitude, dedication and efficacy.. I am quite sure he will  scale greater heights  in his professional travel.. Definitely this calm composed and efficient Sri. S. Moses Rajakumar is really a shimmering milestone in the social, public , educational, religious, power and industrial scenario and history of Kerala and South India

His Parents and Birth: Mr. Moses Rajakumar's parents Mr. Selvadhas and Ms. Packia Bai Selvadhas were natives of Kanyakumari District. and Er. Moses Rajakumar was born to his parents on 10th May , 1965, at Nagercoil, Kanyakumari Dist. His father Mr. Selvadhas was an enterprising person and is no more with us .

His Siblings Mr. Moses Rajakumar's siblings are :[1] Mr. Sam Selvakumar [ he now serves as the Second Engineer in a ship and he is married to Ms. Sheba Catherine], [2] Ms Mary Selvadhas [ she serves as a  Colonel in the Indian Military Nursing Service . and her husband is a business man],. [3]Mr. Sathish Kumar [ his wife's name is Ms. Savitha and she works as a high School Zoology Teacher  in a prestigious High School in Bangalore . All of  Mr. Moses Rajakumar's  siblings are married and well settled in life.

His wife and her profession :  Er. S. Moses Rajakumar has married Er. Ms Sumitha , B.E, M. Tech, { Daughter of  Er. Stephen Paul, B.E, and Ms Mabel Stephen Paul B.A] .Currently Mrs.Sumitha Rajakumar is working as an Associate Professor[Civil] at the Government College of Engineering in, Trivandrum . She is also pursuing her Ph.D

Er. S. Moses Rajakumar's Educational Career: Moses Rajakumar  did his primary School education at the Govt Primary School at krishnancoil, Nagercoil and his High School education at Scott Christian High School, Nagercoil[ 6th and 7th standards ] and Govt Model High School, Trivandrum and he passed his SSLC examination in the year 1980.He did his Pre-degree at the famous Mar Ivanous College, Trivandrum and pursued his B.Tech at the famous Government College of Engineering in Trivandrum[1983-1988].  and he successfully completed his B.Tech in the year 1988. He pursued his MBA during the years 2011-2013 and meritoriously passed his MBA in the year 2013.

His Professional career : After having passed his B.Tech he joined the Kerala State Electricity Board, Govt of Kerala as an Assistant Engineer in the year 1990 and afterwards there was no turning back . By his dedicated and efficacious work he was getting regular job promotions one after another  ; he was promoted as Assistant Executive Engineer then  Executive Engineer and so on . In the year 2014 he was promoted as Deputy Chief Engineer and he took charge as Deputy Chief Engineer at Kannur and worked in that capacity in that region for 4 years in a devoted manner  With dutiful enthusiasm he addressed the problem of the public related to the distribution and restoration of electricity in rural, hilly and remote areas around Kannur.. Now he is working as  Deputy Chief Engineer [KSEB] of the Trivandrum rural region and within no time he has won the respect and love of the local and rural public by his corruption free attitude and helping mentality. . No doubt the post of Chief Engineer of Kerala State Electricity Board will reach him shortly

Conclusion : We can say Er. Moses Raja Kumar is a people's engineer. Service to the people is his goal , It will be really pertinent to mention precisely about the service rendered by him and his team of workers from Kerala in and around the Kaja cyclone affected Pudukottai district in Tamil Nadu recently..  Govt of Kerala sent a team of workers from the Kerala State Electricity Board under the leadership of Deputy Chief Engineer Mr Moses Rajakumar to the Kaja cyclone affected Pudukottai District  to restore electricity supply. Sri.  Moses Rajakumar worked in the affected area as a KSEB  worker along with his team of KSEB workers and restored the  power lines along Pudukottai - Gandharvakottai road braving intermittent and devastating rain within a week's  time. Tamil Nadu Ministers Sri. C. Vijayakumar Basker, Sri M.R.Vijayabhaskar and Sri. P Balakrishna Reddy appreciated the marvelous job done by the team head by Moses Rajakumar in restoring electrical power supply in Gandarvakottai area in Pudukottai District. The accomplishment of the KSEB staff was praised by the famous English News paper the Hindu[ The Hindu, Trichy, dated 24 November ,2018]

His father late Mr Selvadhas and his mother  Ms. Packia Bai played significant  role to make him as what he is today . Definitely his efficacy, dedication to work , corruption free attitude  will  plant many more feathers on his colorful cap. He with great gratitude remembers his mother's sisters  Mrs, Saroja Joel Singh, Mrs. Kasthuri  Chandra and his late cousin Kishore for the financial help rendered by them to meet his educational expenses. . We can definitely call Mr Moses Rajakumar as People's engineer. Really he is greater than what people estimate about him. and he is a role model Government engineer. His profile will be an inspiration  and model to the youth, students and  Government  servants.of all ranks.
