Indian Railway Board's Former Additional Member [ Signal and Telecom ] and Rtd Secretary to the Government of India Sri. S. Manohar, B.E, I.R.S.S.E, . ...Part A

Introduction   : Indian Railway Board's  Former Additional Member [ Signal and Telecom  ] and Rtd  Secretary to the Government of India  Sri. S. Manohar, B.E, HAG / I.R.S.S.E, is really a remarkable  and galvanising milestone in the history of Indian Railways.   His phenomenal rise to enviable and eminent positions  in the Indian Railways make us to look at him with awe. His awesome and innovative contribution for the development and modernisation of the Signal and Communication Department of Indian Railways deserves our applause and admiration . His prolific profile will inspire and motivate  many youth and specially the rural youth with positive  desire to dream high and  reach eminent and enviable places in life  



Mr. S, Manohar, B.E, I.R.S.S.E [ Rtd ]

Mr. S. Manohar's Parents and Birth   :    Mr. S. Manohar's  father late  Mr. Subbiah,  hailed from the historical Kulasekarapattinam [ Kulasekaran Pattinam ] village and Kulasekarapattinam lies on the Coromandel coast in Udangudi Block in Tutucorin district. During the first century A.D.  Kulasekarapattinam was flouring as an important Port .The name  Kulasekarapattinam  is derived from  the Pandiyan king Maravarman Kulasekarapandian 1.   It would be apt to remember a fact that Kulasekarapatinam has produced  some noteworthy high ranking Government officials, famous medical doctors, bishops, businessmen,etc. Mr. Subbiah was working in the Revenue Department, Govt of Tamil Nadu and retired as Special Tahsildar . Mr. Subbiah was married to Ms Anna Lakshmi and she was a native of  the historical Manapad village located near Tiruchendur.  Ms Lakshmi was a trained teacher but she lived as a house wife . Mr. Subbiah and Ms.Anna Lakshmi Subbiah couple gave birth to Mr S. Manohar on the 14th November 1955  at Manapad.  

Mr. S. Manohar's Siblings : Mr Subbiah and Ms. Anna Lakshmi Subbiah couple gave birth to the following children namely : [1]  Dr. S. Sunder Singh Baliah, B.Sc, M.B.B.S, D.L.O and he was married to Ms Dr Padmavathy , M.B.B.S, D.D. and both of them worked as Government Doctors and after long service they  retired from Govt service  in the grade of Civil Surgeons  [2]  Ms Santha Veda Singh M.A, B.Ed,  and she worked as a PG Teacher and now retired and her husband Mr Vethasingh, B.Sc, B,L  is an Advocate after having worked as a Legal officer in the Banking sector in Kuwait and Bahrain he returned to his native place and now he is working as a freelance Advocate in Tirunelveli , [3]  Mr. S. Manohar, B.E, H.A.G /  I.R.S.S.E [ He is the Hero of this Article ], [4]  Prof. Dr. S. Guna Sekar, M.B.B.S, D.O, and he worked as a Professor in the Ophthamology Department,  Kilpauk Government  Medical College Hospital  and now he is retired .He is unmarried [5] Mr S.T. Rajan, M.Sc, B.Ed  and his wife Ms. Pon Mekala  Rajan M.C.A  are currently working as a PG Assistants at a private Higher Secondary School at Thisayanvillai. in Tirunelveli district and  [6]    Ms. Jeya Jothy, B.Pharm  and she is working as a  Pharmacist in the Medical Department ,Tamil Nadu Government and her husband Mr Jeevanandam runs his own Pharmacy at his  Doctor Brother's Hospital.    

Mr . S. Manohar's Educational Track   :.  Like his brilliant siblings Mr.S. Manohar  was also a studious and brilliant student since his Elementary School days . He did his Schooling at the famous St John's Higher Secondary School, at Palayamcottah . After having secured very high marks in his Plus Two Examination he pursued his B,E [ Electronics and Communications } degree course at the prestigious Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology at Karaikudi , Madurai Kamaraj University  [1972- 1977 ] and passed his B.E  with flying colours .. In addition  by doing some training programs Mr. S. Manohar  updated and upgraded his professional skill and efficiency
