Introduction       :  Firebrand Social Thinker, Former Regional Secretary of the Employees Union of  Airports Authority of India [Southern Region ], Ex Southern Regional Secretary of the Air Traffic Controllers Guild of A A I  and former Controller of Tiruchirappalli Airport Mr. Wesley Mohan Roy, B.A, was a remarkable man, an outstanding Trade Union Leader, a firebrand Social Thinker, talented Football Player, and Egalitarian . His love for the poor people was genuine and he never failed to voice against injustice done to the labourers and  poor people.  A perusal of his colourful profile will inspire  many and specially the youth  to live a meaningful life like him . Definitely Mr Wesley Mohan Roy was an illustrious milestone in the social, religious, civil aviation and Labour Union history of Tamil Nadu and India

Mr Wesley Mohan Roy's Parents and his Birth   : Many  decades ago there lived an educated gentleman by name Mr Sundaram who hailed originally from a rural village called kristhavakandigai, Mevalurkuppam, kanchipuram district and he was living with his modest wife Mrs. Rosemary Sundaram in Velachery, Chennai [ Madras ].   Mr. Sundaram who lost his father at an early stage was educated at the Wesleyan Boys Home at  St. Thomas Mount. After having successfully completed his school education  Sri. Sundaram served as a Head Master in American Advent Mission Schools in and around Madras and he was remembered for being a strict disciplinarian. He used to visit his students at their houses after school hours to enquire about their studies and also to instruct them to wash their uniforms Mr Sundaram was having real empathy for the cause of the poor illiterate children.  He longed to remove the illiteracy and ignorance of the poor children but to realise his goal he needed money. So he used to stage Plays/ Dramas to collect funds for educating the poor rural children. .Mr Sundaram's wife Ms Rosemary Sundaram also served as a  Teacher  at the A.A.M Schools. Ms Rosemary Sundaram hailed from Vallam village near Chengalpattu taluk, Kanchipuram district.   Mr Sundaram and Mrs Rosemary Sundaram couple gave birth to Mr Wesley Mohan Roy on the 1st of May 1943.   As Mr. Sundaram  studied at the Wesleyan Boys Home he named his first born son as Wesley Mohan Roy

Mr. Wesley Mohan Roy's Siblings     :  Sri. M. Sundaram and Ms. Rosemary Sundaram were blessed with all the conjugal blessings and bliss and this couple gave birth to the Following children namely : [1]  Mr. Wesley Mohan Roy, [Senior Manager , Air Traffic Control, the hero of this Article ],[2] Mr. Stanley Sugirtha Roy [ Ex  I.A.F,  later Publicity and Publications Manager with Jesus calls / Branding  Manager with MRF Funskool ] , [3] Mr Charley Nehru Roy  {Manager, NAFED],  [4] Ms Emima Florence  [ Superintendent , Department of Public Instruction ], [5] Ms Agnes Glory [ Sales Supervisor , Poombuhar Arts Emporium ] , [6] Mr Corley Manuel Roy [ Regional Manager, Kores ] [7] Mr. Victor Roy, [ Bible Society of India ], [8] Mr Kingsley Simon Roy[ Village Administrative Officer ] and [9] Ms Selvi Isabella [ Bank of India]. 

Some Highlights on Mr. Wesley's Native Village Kristhavakandigai ,Mevalurkuppam :  History of persons cannot be separated from the history of their native places. Kristhavakandigai, Mevalurkuppam is an unknown obscure rural village located near the much known Sriperumbudur in Kanchipuram district. This village  has produced some  outstanding  personalities.who trace their origin to this village through their parents or grandparents are : the late Ms Shanthini kapoor, M.A, Ph.D, I.A.S  [ Former Collector of Madras and a Principal Secretary to the Government of Tamil Nadu  [ Special Programme Implementation ] , Dr. Abel Nicodemus, Ph.D,[Senior Scientist , Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding ], Dr. Yagnashekar  Sripuram, Ph.D,[ Head of Languages , Madras Christian College, Thambaram, Chennai] and Mr Lawrence Raghavendra [ Famous Choreographer, Director, Playback Singer, Film Actor, Producer and Philanthropist ] .If the biographies of the great Achievers who trace their origin to this little known village  Kristhavakandigai, Mevalurkuppam  village are recorded and brought to the lime light, definitely this Village will get an important   place in the history of Tamil Nadu and India
