Introduction:  Mr Jeyakuamr Sundaram is one of the great but Unsung Authors of kanyakuamri. District and Tamil Nadu.  He has penned eight Historical Tamil Novels including his famous Historical Novel Veera Koorchavarman, yet his name is not well known to the extent he is supposed to be known in Tamil Nadu. He hails from a middle-class educated Christian family in Knyakumari district.    Kanyakumari District has produced many great Authors and Poets such as Messrs. Sundara Ramasamy, Poneelan, Neela Padmanabhan, Thopil Meeran, Nanjil Nadan, Jeyamohan, Ms Hepsibai Yesudasan, Ms.Malarvvathy, and so on...Definitely Jeyakumar Sundaram also can be considered as one of the greatest Writers of our district and Tamil Nadu. In this blogspot I will mainly deal with his literary career and accomplishments

His Parents, Birth, Education and family:  His beloved parents Mr. Sundaram and Mrs. Packiam Sundaram were natives of Arsankuzhi village near Boothapandi[ Native place of Communist Party leader P. Jeevanantham], and this couple gave birth to Mr Jeyakumar on 13th November 1957. Mr. Jeyakumar was a brilliant student; he did his High School at C.P Ramasamy Iyer High School, Boothapandi, and did his PUC and B.Sc [ Mathematics] at Pioneer Kumarasamy College Nagercoil. Then Mr. Jeyakumar pursued his M.Sc[ Econometrics ] at the Madurai Kamaraj University and he secured 4th rank in the University in his MSc examination. In addition, he has passed his BCS degree and ICWS [Intermediate}.  Mr Jeyakumar married Ms. Sutha and this couple is blessed with the following children: [1] Ms Preethi Suja, B.Tech, M.B.A, and [2] Ms Rashmi Subha, C.A [Inter], and ICWA, [ Inter].

Mr Jeyakumar Sundaram's First Historical Novel VEERA KOORCHUVARMAN:   Since Childhood Jeyakumar has a fascination for books and particularly for historical Novels. Some years ago  he very eagerly visited a Book Exhibition with the idea of buying some good historical Novels and bought "Nanthivarman kathali" by Jegachirpian and read it with full interest and passion. But he had already the read the famous historical novel,"Sivakamiyin Sabatham" written by the famous Historical Novelist Kalki. Both of these historical Novels, deal with the History of the Pallava Kings.  A burning ambition was conceived in Mr. Jeyakumar's mind to write some good historical novels about Pallava kings. He read the "History of the Pallavas" by Dr.M. Rasamonikanar  Therein it was mentioned that Pappu Theva alias Koorchuvarman was the first Pallava King, and it was also mentioned in the book that there was difference of opinions among the Researchers regarding the First king Pallava king. Mr. Jeyakumar Sundaram started to read some more historical books on the origin of Palla Kingdom. Mr Jeyakumar Sundaram collected some more important historical points about Koorchuvarman and wrote his first Historical Novel about the first Pallava King and named it as"Veera  Koorchuvarman".  He published this Veera Koorchuvarman novel in "Amazon Kindle Direct Publication". Famous History Enthusiast Mr. Sundar Krishnan read that Veera Koorchuvarman Novel and he was highly impressed by this historical Novel, and he contacted Mr Jeyakumar and appreciated him very much. and helped Mr. Jeyakumar to publish his Veera Koorchuvarman Novel, by the famous Vanathi Pathipaham.

Mr Jeyakumar Sundaram's Other Literary Works: Mr Jeyakumar Sundaram participated at the :"Kuviham Short Novel Writing Competition" and his short novel by name, " Kalvar Komaan Pulli" got a Special Prize in the competition and this Novelette was published by,"Virutcham Publication". Mr. Jeyakumar also took part in the Writing Competition conducted by the "Ilakkiaya Brindavan" on Inbathupal in Thirukural[ Third Part in Thirukural. 'Love"], in Facebook and wrote more than 50 Poems on this subject in Facebook, in a beautiful and romantic style and these romantic poems of Mr. Jeyakumar Sundaram received the applause from the readers. Vanathi Pathipaham is going to publish these poems together with some more poems penned by Jeyakumar as a Kavithai Puthaham, in Tamil.

Mr. Jeyakumar Sundaram and Book Fair 2024, Chennai:   Under the initiative taken by the History Buff Mr Sundar Krishan, in memory of late Mrs kaliammal, the owner of Vanathy Pathipagam,  36 women writers came forward to write Historical Novels. Mr Sundar Krishnan linked all these Women Writers in a WhatsApp Web and was giving necessary guidelines and encouragement to these Women Writers to write and complete their novels. But History enthusiast Mr Sundar Krishan died on 26-07- 2024, unexpectedly, These Women Writers were left all of a sudden without moral and intellectual support in the middle of their work, On the advice of the owner of Vanathi Pathipaham Dr. Ramanathan, Mr Jeyakumar Sundaram took up the responsibility of giving guidance to these Women Writers to continue their writing work and complete their historical novels and he succeeded in his new responsibility. In the Book Fair 2024 Chennai, Vanathi Pathipaham published and released 46 new books including 36 books authored by those 36 Women Writers who were guided and encouraged by Mr Jeyakumar Sundaram. In this Books Release function conducted in the Fook Fair 2024, Chennai, Mr Jeyakuamar Sundaram got the privilege to introduce all these Authors to the audience.

It is really a privilege to have one's name in the Preface of a book.  Here 17 Authors have gratefully remembered and mentioned Mr. Jeyakumar Sundaram's name in the Preface of their Books, and it obviously speaks about the impression made by Mr. Jeyakumar Sundaram in the minds of the Authors of these historical novels. Wherever these historical Novels written by these women writers go, the name of Mr. Jeyakumar Sundaram will also travel with the books.

Conclusion:  Historical Novelist, Poet Mr Jeyakumar Sundaram is a promising historical novelist and very soon he will find his due place among the great historical Novelists of Tamil Nadu. He is a hard worker, voracious reader of literary and historical books. He is simple, honest and unassuming. and his writing style and his enticing Tamil deserve our appreciation.   He has established good relation and friendship with his fellow writers and readers of his literary creations. He always remembers and speaks about the great History Enthusiast late Mr Sundar Krishnan, who introduced him to Vanathy Pathipaham .Similarly he is always remembers   the owner of Vanathi Pathipaham, Dr. Ramanathan. I think his best historical novel is yet to come. I hope Mr Jeyakumar Sundaram's name will soon become a household name in the houses of the readers of historical novels.  I wish and hope that in the near future and he will bag greater literary awards such as, Sahitya Akademy Award, etc, I will end this Blogpost with the following sentence.
