Social Thinker, Family Historian, and Former Employee of Indian Railways Mr. Maha Sathiya Devadhas Puthukunathan and His Accomplished Family Members.

Introduction:    Former employee of Indian Railways and social thinker Mr Maha Sathya Devadhas [ Mr. M.S. Devadhas], son of Mr. Puthukunathan is a multi-faceted personality. He is honest, hardworking, intelligent, God fearing, unassuming, compassionate towards poor people and he is physically and mentally very strong. He is a sharp thinker and a micro historian with laudable memory power. He hails from a pioneer Christain and educated family in Kanyakumari District. The success story of his family members and himself will galvanise the readers with new hope and grit to meet the challenges of life with confidence and live a meaningful and dignified life.

Mr. P. Maha Sathiya Devadhas' Parents and Birth:   Salaiputhur, in  Agastheeswaram taluk, Kanyakumari district, is an unsung, beautiful idyllic village surrounded by pretty pleasant ponds, paddy fields and coconut trees. and in this beautiful village a Middle-Class Agriculturist by name Mr. Puthukunathan lived happily with his cute and beloved wife Mrs Gnanamma and God blessed this blissful couple and they gave birth to Mr. P. Maha Sathaya Devadhas and his siblings. Mr. Maha Sathya Devadhas worked in Indian Railways for some years in the Electrical Department and afterward went to Kuwait and worked for some years and returned to India and now he lives in Nagercoil. Even at old age he is having a sharp memory about the past and he knows the micro history of many important families in Nanjil Nadu.

Mr. P. M. S. Devadhas and his Siblings:   God blessed Mr Puthukunathan and his cute wife Mrs Gnanamma with all the connubial blessings and this couple gave birth to the following children namely: 

[1] Mr. Maha Sathya Devadhas, and he married Ms Nesam Vethachalam  from Gnanam {Gnalam] village, and this couple gave birth to the following children: [a] Mr. M.S.D. Guna Singh, B.Sc, B.P.T, currently he is working in USA] and he married Ms. Ponmalar Jeyanthi, B.O.T, [ She is a daughter of Mr K. Shivaji Millioner, M.A., B.L, former Joint Secretary, Law Dept, Govt of Tamil Nadu] and she is currently working in USA and God blessed this couple with four children namely [i] Ms. Joe Ann, [ii] Ms. Yuvan Ann [iii]Mr. Joshi Devadhas, [iv] Mr Benjamin; [2] Ms Jessie Vethappoo, B.Sc, M.S[ Ecology, Environmental Science,1994] ,M.A [ USA,  she pursued her M.A, in Secondary education at the Andrew University, USA and passed her M.A, in First Class in 1996], M.A, M.Phil,.  Ms. Jessie married Mr Paul Nalina Kumar, B.Com, [ Scott Christain College, 1982] and Mr Paul Nalina Kumar worked as a Subcription Executive for 27 years [ 1989- 2017] at the famous Magna Publishing Company Ltd , Mumbai [Star Dust group in Mumbai], and this couple is blessed with a son by name Sam Dev Paul[B.Sc[ Nursing] and he is working in Manipal Hospital Bangalore; [3] Ms. Sheba Ranjani, B.Sc[ Nursing], B.M.l.T; 

[2] Ms. Manonmani and she married Dr. Packianathan, B.S.M.S, from the historical village Osaravilai, and this couple gave birth to the following children:[a] Dr. P. Kavin kennedy, M.Sc, Ph.D, and he worked as a Senior PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hydrabad, Govt of India with great distinction and retired last year, and he is married to Ms. T. Carolin Anitha, B.Sc, B.Ed, and this couple gave birth to Ms. Dr. Nanthana Merlyn BDS, {MDS}, [2] Ms P. Kural Selvi, M.E and she works in Kuzhithurai Municipality as an Engineer and she is married to Mr.Ravindran, and this couple gave birth to the following children: [a] Mr. R.K. Ranjith, B.E[SEIT], [b] Ms. Sheela Jesh Vanthini , M.Sc [ Agri] and she married Mr. M. Abinesh and he works in Dubai, 

[3] Ms Janaki and she married Mr Sinthamani [ Pastor] and this couple is blessed with the following children: [a] Mr. kumar [died], [b] Ms. Mary and she married Mr Henry and this couple gave birth to the following children: [i] Mr Jebu, B.E, MBA, and he married Ms Selin, B,Sc[ Nursing] and she is working in Saudi arabia, [ii] Mr Jerry. D.M.E. and [iii] Ms. Joselyn, and she stood, State First in her Diploma Nursing Final examination. Ms Joselyn married Mr. Stephen, and this couple gave birth to the following children: [a] Mr. Benny, and [b] Name not known [Aeronautical engineer]. 

[4] Mr. Rajamonickam and he is married to Ms Devasi [ Nurse] and she is working in Jalna, Maharashtra, and she married Mr Sunder Singh, M.Sc [ Chemistry] and he also works in Jalna, Maharashtra, and this couple is blessed with the following children:[a] Mr. Edwin Sathia Dhas, [b] Ms Amitha kamala Rani, she formerly  worked in Brunei and now she is working in Coimbatore and she married Mr Venkatesh, B.Sc[ Nursing] and he also works in Coimbatore and [c] Mr Arun Kumar Sekar, B.Sc [ Nursing] and he is working in Chennai, and he is married to Ms Bharati [B.Sc, Nursing].  

Conclusion:      The prolific and praiseworthy educational upward travels of Salaiputhur Mr Puthukunathan's  descendants deserve our attention and admiration and his daughter's son  Dr. Kavin Kennedy's remarkable reach from a remote village to the nation's prestigious research laboratory C.C.M.B, Hydrabad is really a shining and magnificent milestone and it adds a colourful feather on this family's cap. God has blessed Mr. Maha Sathya Devadhas and his siblings and their descendants with all the blessings promised in Psalm 128.
