Rev. Vethamuthu Masillamani's Grand Children   :
According to Psalm 128 our children's children are real blessings to all of us and according to the above cited Psalm Rev Vethamuthu Massillamani was also blessed with many lovely grand-children. Rev. Vethamuthu Masillamani's daughter Ms. M. Nesamani Jesuraj and Rev Jesuraj Williams Rungaswamy couple gave birth to five beautiful daughters, as follows : [1]Ms. Clara Theodesia Rebecca [ born on 26 may1918] and she married Mr. Kanagaratnam Israel Thomas from Thanjavur and this couple was blessed with four  sons and two daughters. [2]Ms Mercy Margaret Magdaline[born on 06 June 1920] and she married Rev Father David Samson Kingsbury, G E E C[ London] and this couple was blessed with eleven sons and two daughters ,[3] Ms. Reachel Nightingale[ born on30 November 1923] and she married Mr A.Peter [Andrapradesh] and this couple was blessed with eight sons and three daughters, [4]Ms Mesbobra Manogaram Easter Joy [born on 04 April  1926] and she married Mr . Abel kalyana Sundaram Raju [Ex Army] and this  couple was blessed with two daughters and seven sons,and[5]  Ms. Fanny Cornelia Brittania [born on 29 July 1928]and she married Mr. George Wilson Robert [Japalpur] and this couple was blessed two daughters and three sons. But unfortunately Ms. Nesamani Jesuraj passed away at an early age while their  daughters were young.But Rev Jesuraj Williams brought up his daughters with great care,concern and christian compassion  . He gave education to his daughters and gave them in marriage to good Christian gentlemen.

Rev Vethamuthu Masillamani's Evangelical and Ministerial Career : Rev.Vethamuthu Masillamani  had a burning thirst  to become  a Christian Missionary since childhood  and so after school education, he joined  American Madura Mission Seminary at Pasumali in the year 1884. to study Theology.. After the completion of his study  he started his independent evangelical work in Tirukoilur [ Kallakurichi Dist] area. in 1890 AD .  During that period the Danish Missionaries had been working in Tirukoilur and in the surrounding villages. Rev. Vethamuthu Masilalmani along with his independent evangelical work  also was helping  the  Danish Missionaries in their missionary work. In spite of his involvement in missionary work he was not very sure of his personal salvation . In that context  in the year 1892 he happened to hear a sermon preached by the famous Danish Mission Missionary Pastor N.P. Hansen and  in the sermon Pastor N.P. Hansen said anybody can preach but it is very difficult to give a witness about  personal salvation. . These words permeated his conscience and he repented and committed himself to  God to work as a full time God's minister.  In 1897 he again went to Madurai  and worked  with the Madura American Mission.  Mr Vethamuthu  Masillamani was ordained as a Pastor in 1901 and immediately after his ordination we worked in Thirupuvanam [near Mana Madurai ] for some years. In !906 he was appointed as a teacher to the Catechists at the Catechist Training School at Madurai.  In 1915  he moved to Thiruvannamalai area and worked as a Pastor at the Sharon Church [ Arcot Lutheran Church] at Thiruvannamali for  two years or so and  after that he worked as a Pastor at Chengulmedu for nearly three years. A, nd again he moved  to Thiruvanamali and worked as Pastor at the ALC Sharon Church till he retired in  1928 AD.                                                                                                                                                                  

Rev Vethamuthu Masillamani's Christian Lyrics. :Though he served as efficacious Pastor,  he is remembered more for his Tamil Christian Lyrics.Out of his many sweet Tamil Christian Lyrics only ten Lyrics are  being sung in our worship services . Among his lyrics the following three lyrics,"Seer Mihu Vaan Puvi Theva Thothram"; "Thanthaanai Thuthippoma  Thiruchabaiyora Kavi Padi Padi " and "Paavi Ennidam Vara Manathillaiya  Vor" ,are obviously more popular  among the  Tamil speaking Christians who are living  throughout the length and breadth of this vast globe. While our Pastor Vethamuthu Masillamani was serving as a Pastor at Thirupuvanam he wrote this "Thanthaanai Thuthippoma lyric. and  the Lyric Paavi Ennidam Vara Manathillaiya lyric was written instantly after hearing the sermon of Paster N.P.Hansen. Rev Vethamuthu Masillamani  was a great Violinist also and so he played violin while singing songs and attracted the minds of the people towards Christ  His Lyrics , "Aar Evar Aaraaro",  "Vanthanam Vanthanama", and "Ananthamma Jeya Jeya" songs are  sung  with delight by the Tamil Christians during New Year and other festival seasons
 .
Conclusin   : Rev. Vethamuthu Masillamani  died in the year 1932, and now physically he is no more in this world but he lives in our memory , whenever we hear his lyrics we spontaneously we remember him . He led a very simple life, he loved God and people.He had a special concern for the  progress of the poor and women. .His remarkable brothers and he, had made enviable  contribution  for the establishment and progress of Protestant Christianity in Tamil Nadu . His younger brother Rev. Prof. V Santiago was one of  the main  Signatories of the historical "Tranquebar Manefesto1919".and this Manifesto laid the foundation for the formation of Churh of South India, [C.S.I].   Rev. Vethamuthu Masillamani's descendants are living in Chennai, Tanjore, and  in foreign countries . We are bound to thank God for the life and accomplishment of our Tamil Christian Lyricist Rev.Vethamuthu Masillamani and he will live for ever in his melodious, meaningful Christian Tamil Lyrics.

Introduction :  Well known Tamil Christian Lyricist, Music Composer and Evangelist  Rev. Vethamuthu Masillamani was a remarkable person with many skills, natural talents and a generous heart.. His younger brothers and he were well known throughout the Tamil speaking Christian world for their mesmerizing, meaningful and soul winning Tamil Christian lyrics authored by them. Rev. V. Masillamani's Tamil Christian lyric, "Thanthaanai Thuthippoma ,Thiruchabaiyara  Kavi Paadi  Paadi" is one of the all time favorite Christian songs among the Tamil Speaking Christians throughout the world. Surely Rev Vethamuthu Masillamani's family was/is  an asset to the Tamil Christian Community in Tamil Nadu and South India. Definitely Lyricist Rev.Vethamuthu Masillamani is  a melodious milestone in the history of Tamil Christian Lyrical track and Indian Church history's travel map.

His Birth and Parents   : Rev. Vethamuthu Masillamani was born at a beautiful village called Silukuvar Patti, near Vathalagundu in the Dindigul District in the year 1858 to Sri. Vetha Muthu couple. Silukuvarpatti is beautiful idyllic village that lies on the base plains of  Kurinchi flower famous Kodaikanal hills .Mr. Vethamuthu was formerly professing Roman Catholic Christianity but later he joined American Mission, a Protestant Christian denomination. with his family. Mr Vethamuthu Masillamani's grandfather served as a soldier  in the British Army . Sri Vethamuthu had been working as a School Teacher and native Medical Practitioner[ Nattu Vaithiyar ] in  and around Nilakkotai  in Dindigul District
 .
His Siblings    : Mr and Mrs.Vethamuthu couple gave birth to four smart sons and two cute daughters Among Sri.Vethamuthu's children the following namely. [1] Vethamuthu Masillamani, [2] Vethamuthu Santiago and [3] Vethamuthu Benjamin  served the cause of Cross with great dedication and missionary zeal. And  also these three siblings were  great Tamil Christian Lyricists and Music Composers. These siblings' songs have become a part and parcel of Christian worship services and home prayer meetings. throughout the Tamil speaking world.

Vethamuthu Masilamani's Wife and Children :  The name of Rev. Vethamuthu Masillamani's wife  is not available and in the  same way the names of his children are not available except his beloved daughter Ms. M.Nesamani.and once the names are found out the names will be added here.

Sri. Vethamuthu Masilamani's Daughter Ms Nesamani's Wedding :  During nineteenth century AD, there lived a great man of God  by name Rev.John Rungasamy [1859--1914 ] in Madras and he was serving as a Minister in the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Madras . He  married Ms Rebecca Gnanamuthu in the year 1885 and Rev. John Rungaswamy and Ms G.Rebecca Rungaswamy couple gave birth to six male children  including Mr. Rev. Jesuraj Williams, And Rev.Jesuraj Williams Rungaswamy, B.D [London] was the fourth son of Rev John Rungaswamy couple. Rev. Vethamuthu Masillamani wanted to give his beloved daughter Ms Nesamani only to a Christian minister and so accordingly and accordingly to the  will of God , Ms Nesamani Masillamani married Rev. Jesuraj Williams Rungaswamy  [ S/o Rev John Rungasawamy of Madras] on the 22nd August,1917 AD at the Danish Mission Church , at Panruti.

Brother Christanujam Edward Dasan's marriage and family   : Bro. C.E Dasan married his second cousin Ms Chandra Stephen;  their wedding was solemnized by Bro. Bakht Singh on the 25th February , 1953, at Jehovah Shammah, Chennai and on this blessed  occasion Bro. Bakht Singh gave the special message on the Bible verses  1 Chronicles  28:10, "Take heed now; for the Lord hath chosen thee to build a house for the sanctuary: be strong and do it ".Bro. C.E Dasan and Ms Chandra Stephen Dasan couple begot  a son and the couple christened their male child as , John  C.E Dasan. Mr. John C.E Dasan did his  M.Sc [ Archaeology]  and  married Ms. Dr. Leela Reddy from Cadappa..

Bro C.E. Dasan's Teaching Career   : . After his B.Sc , L.T education Mr. C.E.Dasan got a job in the Government  but he left the government job and started  his teaching career. He worked as a High school teacher at the Concordia High School Nagercoil for a short span of time..He had worked  as a high School Teacher in a school at Thiruvannamalai and after that he worked  at the famous CSI Goudie High School , Thiruvallur as a High school Teacher.. While he was working at the Goudie High School Thiruvallur his relative Ms Hilda Ambrose's husband  Mr D.J Arulanandam was working as the Head Master of the CSI Goudie High School. Thiruvallur .Mr. C.E. Dasan  was regarded  and loved by his students as an excellent  teacher  .

Bro.C.E Dasan as a Servant of God    :While Mr. C.E. Dasan  was working as a teacher, he heard the silent voice of God for full time Christian Ministry, but he was unable to take a decision in this respect due to some family circumstances and as the elder brother he was expected to shoulder the responsibility of taking care of his siblings, in the absence of their parents. But finally he obeyed the urging silent call of God and did quit his teaching job in April  1945 to  work with Bro. Bakht Singh as a full time servant of God . After having few years of stay and training at Jevovah Shamma, Chennai   he was sent to El-Shaddai, Kalimpong and "Beer Shaba" in,Ahmedabad for further training and after the successful completion of the required training  Mr. C.E.Dasan  was called to serve as full time servant of  the Lord, first in Elim and later in Hebron in Hydrabad.

Bro C.E Dasan was a great Bible Teacher and Theologian   :  Since the dedication of his life for Lord's full time  work there was no turning back in his life. Bro. C.E Dasan was blessed by God with sharp analytical mind and quick grasping power.. Bro. C.E Dasan followed the literal method of interpreting the Scriptures with the help of corresponding and relevant references from the Holy Bible He cogently taught many fundamental doctrines with great clarity and  he was an expert on the subject of Baptism and almost in all Holy Convocations, God used him to teach the Biblical basis and fundamentals for the  believers to be baptized by immersion and the testimony of the 'laying -on-of- hands"' He believed that Holy Bible is the Word  of God  and is more reliable than any Scientist and also infallible'

Bro. C.E Dasan was a powerful & prolific Writer   : For many years Brother C.E. Dasan worked as the Publisher and Editor of the "Hebron Messenger" He had written many precious Articles in English in the "Hebron Messenger" for the spiritual edification of the fellow believers and readers. He was having a good command over English language and had written some valuable  books in English on various important scriptural topics and subjects , to cite a few [1] The Story of Ages, [2] Risen With Christ ,etc.

Conclusion  : . Brother Christanujam Edward Dasan was really a great Man of God, and he  labored in the Lord's vineyard in the company of Bro. Bakht Singh and his co-workers for  four decades with great commitment and relentless dedication .He played a significant part along with Bro. Bakht Sigh and other fellow Elders for establishing many houses of worship[Believers Assemblies] in India  including establishing 'Horeb" Prayer House" in his home town Nagercoil  . By his efficacious and committed evangelical work and witnessing living  he earned the respect and love of Brother Bakht Singh and other coworkers and fellow believers.. He was a candid Bible teacher, good  Translator from English to Tamil, and  Telugu and so on.  While he was doing Christ's ministry suddenly severe illness attacked him and  he was   promoted to glory on the 23rd October ,1985 in New Delhi, Indeed Brother Christanujam Edward Dasan was a humble,unassuming and sincere Servant of God and we can call him a Man of God .

Introduction   : Brother Christanujam Edward Dasan is generally known as Bro. C.E.Dasan or Neddie  among his friends, relatives and public .He hailed from one of the illustrious Christian families of South India.  He was a remarkable human-being , multifaceted personality , creative thinker, writer , unassuming, a lieutenant and friend of Bro. Bakht Singh and one of the pioneer elders at Jehovah Shammah in Vepery, Chennai.and above all he was a great man of God. His profile will be an inspiration to many to lead a meaningful life like him. Definitely his life was a precious, valuable and lasting milestone in the  educational, religious , social and intellectual history of Tamil Nadu and South India.

His Birth and Parents ; Bro. C.E. Dasan was an offshoot of an illustrious and educated Christian family from Nagercoil. kanyakumari district.Tamil Nadu.. During 18th century in Nagercoil lived a respectable Christian  and his name was Mr M. Devadasan , and he was living happily with his cute wife Ms Annammal [Ms Annammal was a relative of famous Christian Poet Mr. John Palmer ] and this couple gave birth to a male child in 1885 and this couple christened this son as George Dawson. Mr George Dawson married Ms. Agnes. Mr George Dawson and his wife Ms. Agnes George Dawson  couple gave birth to five children including Mr. Christanujam Edward Dasan. Mr. C.E.Dasan was born on 8th February ,1918 in Madras[ now Chennai ]

Mr.C.E. Dasan's Siblings and Families  : Mr George Dawson and Ms Agnes George Dawson couple gave birth to the following children;[1] Mr.Christanujam Edward Dasan [Born. 1918], [2] Mr Rabindranath Sanuel Dawson [ Born ,1920], [3] Ms Jemima [ Born, 1922 ], [4]Mr Janakan Dawson [ Born , 1924] and [5] Mr Cyril Dawson [ born , 1926]. [1] Mr. C.E Dasan is the hero of this Article [2]. Mr Rabindranath Samuel Dawson, B.A, served in the Indian Air Force and in 1945 he married Ms Raniammal, M.Sc, M.A and she worked as a mathematics Lecturer at the prestigious Women's Christian College , Madras and also in the ST Hindu College, Nagercoil . And this R.S Dawson couple begot three sons namely ;[a] Mr. Timothy,[b] Mr.Jasper and [c] Mr Gideon. [3] Ms. Jemima George Dawson after her SSLC did her Teacher Training  course . She  married her first cousin  Mr Chandra Paul in 1946. Unfortunately she died at an early age of 30. in the year 1952.[4] Mr Janakan Dawson married Ms Manohari  the eldest daughter of Dr.A. Abraham [ Malaysian Government]. and Mr Janakan and Ms.Manohari Dawson couple is blessed with a daughter by name Ms.Latha and she  married an MBBS Doctor..and [5] Mr Cyril  Dawson, B.Sc [Maths] and he married Ms M.N. Leelabai in 1958.[ D/o of Mr Sundram Pillai of Royapuram.Madras. Mr Cyril Dawson  had the privilege to work  as a high school teacher at the famous Scott Christian High School, Nagercoil and Madras Christian College High School, Chennai. Mr Cyril Dawson and Ms Leelabai Cyril couple  gave birth to five children namely[1] Mr Paul D Dawson, [2] Mr. Stephen, [3] Mr Silas [4] Mr Simon, and [5] Mr Daniel
  
Mr C.E Dawson and his Education     : Mr C.E Dasan proved himself as a brilliant student since his primary school days.Bro. C.E. Dasan's father Mr George. Dawson  was working as a YMCA Secretary but he suddenly died  while C.E Dasan was only 9years old  in the same way C.E Dasan's mother died while he was 15 years old .  In this context we need to remember Mr C.E Dawsons' paternal grandfather Mr Moses. Devadasan who worked as Administrator of Rev.Dr. Robert Caldwell's Wood Land Estate located at Asambu hills in Nanjil Nadu [ K K Dist] in the then  Travancore State Mr. Moses Devadasan  bought  Woodland Estate[ 275 acres] from Bishop Caldwell [ Author of the iconic book, A Comparative Grammar of the Dravidian or South Indian Family of Languages] Moreover Mr Moses Devadasan  was a great businessman in his time and bought many other properties also. After the death of Mr.Moses Devadasn, his eldest son Rev. D.M. Devasahayam. B.A B.D [ He was the first B.D.degree holder in the whole of India] managed the Woodland Estate and other properties on behalf of his siblings.So in this context Mr. Rev.D.M Devasahayam helped Mr C.E. Dasan to continue his education with the income earned from Woodland Estate and other properties of Mr Moses Devadasan.. Mr. C.E. Dasan passed his B.Sc[ Mathematics] at the age of 17and also passed his L.T.course ..After his graduation Mr. C.E Dasan got a government job . .

Dr. Edward Sukumar and Ms Dr Shamala couple's Children    ;Dr.Edwrad  Sukumar and his wife Ms Dr. Shamala Sukumar couple is blessed with two intelligent and lovely daughters namely ;-[1]Ms. Lydia Shalini Sukumar and [2] Ms. Sarah Sangeetha Sukumar  . It would be good and useful to say a few lines about each of them. ..

Ms Lydia Shalini was born  to Dr.Sukumar and Mrs. Dr.Shamala Suhumar couple at the famous Ellen Thoburn Cowen Memorial Hospital [ ETCM Hospital] at Kanakanapalya, Kolar , in Karnataka state in 1972. Ms Lydia had a brilliant educational career from the very beginning  of her educational starting point. Lydia Shalini did her M.Sc in UK and also did another M.A in U K. .Lydia Sukumar has married  an English man from an illustrious family by name Mr Timothy Lauder s/o of  Col.Lauder, in 2004... Ms Lydia Lauder has been working as an Assistant Professor and  Manager at the Open University[ BBC ] , UK  It would be useful and apt to remember the fact that Mr Timothy Lauder is a direct descendant of the  great British writer Ms Jane Austen. { The Author the immortal English novels , "Pride and Prejudice , "Sense and Sensibility" etc ], Mr Lauder is also related to the great British Christian missionary Bro. Austin Sparks.  Mr Bro. Austin  Sparks was a contemporary of evangelist. Bro. Bakth Singh, Evangelist Watchman Nee and Evangelist Bro. Mauld . Ms Lydia Timothy Lauder and Mr Lauder couple is blessed with two brilliant children namely [1] Master.John Caleb, and [2] Ms. Abigail Hope..In this context  it would be highly relevant and apt to remember the fact that Lydia Lauder couple's first son John Caleb at the age of 7 has won the National British Young Writers Award[Competition for school Children] in  London from the  Educational Department of the British Government.

Ms.Sarah Sangeetha Sukumar    Ms Sara Sangeetha Sukumar was born in the year 1974 in United Kingdom.to Dr. Sukumar and Mrs. Dr Shamala Sukumar couple. Sara Sangeetha  has passed B.A [hons] degree and also got a Diploma in Law . Currently she is working as a Civil Servant ,in the  Govt of U.K

Dr. Edward Sukumar and his Evangelical Work   : Dr. Sukumar is a devoted Christian believer and Evangelist. Ever since his student days he is attracted and attached towards Christian youth ministry among youth and students. Dr, Sukumar was actively engaged and involved with E.U and E.G.F in Hyderabad during his student days . He had served as the President of the Methodist Youth Fellowship of the  English Methodist church in Hyderabad and also he had served as the Secretary of South Indian Methodist Mission Hospitals. He started his Ministry  in 1996 with 4 Ex British Army Ghurka Nepalese and this fellowship has grown into an active Local Nepalese Christian  Assembly in Southern England.. He preaches about the love of Christ among the University students in New Castle and Sunderland. His gospel ministerial words reach beyond the borders of United Kingdom, he goes at regular intervals to Romania and do Christian ministry and  work among the Gypsy communities in Marasesti and Focsani in Romania in association with Dr. Koshy .He supports some building works in Hyderabad , Bengarupet and Sulurapet [near  Chennai] and so on. Dr Sukumar has started  some Christian congregations for the Telugu speaking Christians in UK In 1986 he started a home church at his house in South Shields and now the worshipping place has now been shifted to the Anglican Church Hall at South Shield  It can be said about Dr Edward Sukumar that he sincerely tries to follow  what he preaches to others  and a committed soul winner for the kingdom of God.

Conclusion      :  Dr Edwatd Sukumar is a committed Medical Surgeon  and a Christian , and whatever he does he does it for the glory of God. Dr. Edward Sukumar is an efficacious Orthopedic  Surgeon and  he has bagged 5  Distinction Awards as Associate  Orthopedic Specialist  Surgeon. He has served as  the President of  British Medical Association Branch at South Shields, U.K..His natural urge to serve the common people has made him a successful and popular Rotarian and he has served as Vice President of Rotary Club at South Shields, UK. In all his endeavors his wife Dr. Shamala stands as a great inspiration and support to Dr. Sukumar , Both Dr. Sukumar and his wife Dr Shamala are intelligent, unassuming, humble and down to earth people  Dr Sukumar and his wife Dr. Shamala Sukumar couple's blessed life reminds us about the famous Psalm 128 in the  Holy Bible.

Educational Track of Dr. Edward M. Sukumar    : Young Edward Sukumar did his primary school education at the famous Methodist Boys Primary School at Hydrabad and pursued his High school studies at the Methodist Boys High School in Hydrabad. After having passed his S.S.L.C examination with flying colors he did his P.U.C at the prestigious University College of Science, Saifabad, Hydrabad and his Pre-Professional at the Nizam College, Hydrabad.,. Dr. Edward Sukumar did his M.B.B.S medical course at the famous Osmania University in  Hydrabad [ 1958--1963 ]. After having passed his MBBS he worked as Senior House Officer[ 1963-1964] at the CMC, Vellore . And after an interval  of five years he did his M.S[ Orthopedics] at the famous CMC, Vellore and passed his M.S  PG course in1970.. After his M.S course study  Dr Sukumar had the privilege to work  in some famous hospitals for  some years and then pursued his M.Ch [ Orthopedics]  at the prestigious  Liverpool University , in the UK and passed his M.Ch.

Dr.Shamala Florence Kumudini Sukumar    : Dr. Sukumar's wife Ms Dr. Shamala Florence Kumudini  hails from an illustrious christian family. of Tamil Nadu. Her father Mr D.J Arulanandam served as the Head Master of CSI Goudie High School Thiruvalluvar and Dr.Shamala's mother Ms Hilda Ambrose Arulanandam was a daughter of Mr. J.T Ambrose and Mrs Louisa Ambrose, from Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District.and sister of  great Pianist Padma Sri. Handel Manuel's mother Ms Dhaya Ambrose Manuel. Ms. Shamala Florence Kumudini did her school education at the Goudie High School Thiruvallur wherein  her father Mr D.J Arulanandam concurrently worked as Head Master and after having passed her SSLC with flying colors she did her PUC at the Queen Mary's College, Madras/ Chennai [1961]. . She did her MBBS at the famous Christian Medical College , Vellore [1962- 1967] and passed her MBBS  final examination in 1967. She did her D.G.O, after her arriage at the famous CMC Vellore [1975-1977].

Dr. Sukumar's Mariage with Ms Dr.Shamala   :. Dr Edward  Sukumar met Dr Shamala Florence Kumudini at the CMC, Vellore and spontaneously developed mutual liking and later with the consent of their parents their marriage was arranged and accordingly Dr Edward Sukumar's wedding with Dr Shamala Florence Kumudini Arulanandam was conducted at the Emmanuel Methodist Church , Vepery , Chennai [Madras.} on 30th June 1970.

Dr. Shamala' Professional Career Track   :   After having passed her MBBS ,Dr. Shamala joined the famous Ellen Thoburn Cowen Memorial Hospital [ETCR Hospital ] in  Kolar, Karnataka State and served in this Institution from  1970 till she joined CMC, Vellore  for her DGO in 1975. After her marriage with Dr Sukumar she went to UK in 1975. In 1977 she went to Israel with her husband and worked as  Gynecologist at the Israel Nazareth Hospital managed by the Edinburgh Medical Missionary Society. Dr, Shamala Sukumar began her professional career as SHO and continued to work as Registrar at a Teaching Hospital called Queen Elizabeth Hospital  [NHS} in Birmingham , Uk [1980- 1982]. Then Dr. Shamala worked as Registrar at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital,which is a major teaching and research hospital in Liverpool and also at the Liverpool Maternity Hospital ,  located at Oxford street, Liverpool England.Now after her retirement she now resides with her family, in South Shields, England.

Dr Edward Sukumar's Professional Career Track   :Dr Sukumar started his medical career as a medical Surgeon at the Israel Nazareth Hospital, in Israel, administered by the Edinburgh Medical Missionary[ 1977]. Then he worked as a Surgeon at the ETCM Hospital at Kolar town, Karnataka State [1978 ]. As fore-said he passed his M.Ch {Liverpool University, UK and worked as Orthopedic Surgeon  with great dedication, efficacy and compassion at the famous South Tyneside District Hospital, South Shields UK for about twenty four years from 1981 till his retirement in 2005 .While he had been working as Associate Specialist  Orthopedic Surgeon at the South Tyneside District hospital;  because of his exemplary efficacy in doing surgery  and compassionate attitudes towards patients he earned a reputed name and won the hearts of the patients, colleagues and the public.  South Tyneside District Hospital is a part of South Tyneside NHS Foundation  and it was selected as one of the top 40 Hospitals in UK. .

A Great Soul & Surgeon Dr.Edward M. Sukumar, M.B.B.S, M.S,M.Ch[ U.K]and his Wife Dr.Shamala Sukumar, M.B.B.S, D.G.O &their Children,-Part A.

Introduction    :  Mr. Dr. Edward Malkappa Sukumar, M.B.B.S, M.S, M.Ch [ Liverpool University, UK]  is  really a great man, eminent Orthopedic Surgeon, Rotarian and above all he is a masrin of God . Indeed he is a multifaceted personality and  it is apt to recollect and record  the historical fact that his smart mother-in-law Ms Hilda Ambrose Arulanandam, B.A, LT,[ daughter of late Sri. J.T. Ambrose] hailed from one of the illustrious and pioneer Christian families of  Nagercoil,  Kanyakumari district. Dr Edward Sukumar and his wife Ms Dr.Shamala Florence Kumudini Sukumar couple's accomplished and brilliant short biographies deserve our attention, review and admiration and their exemplary life imprints have become indelible milestones in the social, religious , educational and  medical history of Tamil Nadu, South India and UK

Dr. Edward Sukumar's Birth and Parents and Forefathers : Dr Edward M. Sukumar was born on the 20th May, 1939 at the historical Golconda fort Government hospital, in Hyderabad, Telangana State, India to the couple Mr. B. Malkappa and Ms. Padma Malkappa. . Dr. Edward M Sukumar's paternal grandfather  Mr. Basappa hailed from the Kulkarni family of Bijapur, Karnataka State. ..Dr. Edward Sukumar's maternal grand-father Mr.Siddappa was a farmer and his wife died while their  three children:- [1] Ms. Padma, [2] Ms. Ruth and [3] Ms Kamala were very young ; so Mr Siddappa brought his  three mother-less daughters  Ms Padma Siddappa , Ms. Ruth Siddappa and Ms kamala Siddappa  to a foreign  missionary called Ms.Erics Amma  and these three motherless Children were brought up by Ms. Erics Amma.. Ms Padma served as Matron at the Government Hospital in Hydrabad, and she married Mr. Malkappa.  Ms Ruth worked as a Teacher and she married Mr. Shadrack Peters from Raichur and Ruth Peters couple is blessed with a lovely daughter by name Ms.Gladys, MSc and she works as a staff of UESI. Ms Kamala married Mr Budden from North India and she worked as a teacher and kamala Budden  couple gave birth to a son and a daughter.

Dr. Edward Sukumar's father Mr. B. Malkappa started his professional career as a  Weaving Teacher and later became an Accountant at the famous  Stanley Girls High School, in  Hyderabad and during those days this school was managed by the Methodist Mission.

Dr. Edward M Sukumar's Siblings   :  Dr Sukumar's parents gave birth to four children including Dr. Edward Sukumar and Dr. Sukumar's siblings are :-[1] Mr. John Sudarshanam and he was an Interior Decorator and he is not alive now; [2] Mr. James Prabakar  and he served as a Major in the Indian Army and after his retirement he is  residing in Hyderabad with his family; [3] Ms. Sulochana Basappa, B.A, B,Ed, and she worked as a High School Teacher  and now retired and lives in Hyderabad city..
