Introduction : Retired Deputy Inspector General of Police [B.S.F ] Dr. R. Chandramohan, M.A [ M.C & J], M.A[P] M,Sc[ Maths], Ph.D is really a remarkable man. He had done valuable and valiant service for the cause of our mother country's border security.. He is a great Scholar and his quest of knowledge deserves our appreciation . Definitely his professional achievements, educational accomplishments and his consuming concern for the common man and his contribution for the cause of of our country's border security and nation's defence, will galvanise the readers and his fellow countrymen to lead a meaningful, purposeful and patriotic life .\
Dr. R. Chandramohan's Parents and his Birth : Ootuvalmadam is a beautiful idyllic village in n Agastheeswaram taluk , kanyakumari district and Ootuvalmadam lies on the southern side of the Pazhayar river near Nagercoil Railway junction and this village is surrounded by pretty fertile paddy fields and in this village some decades ago there lived a gentleman and agriculturist by name Mr.K. Rajiah with his smart wife Mrs A. Pooranam .And this village has produced some eminent personalities like late Rev. S.Suveseshamuthu, B.D. S.T.M, LL.D [Hon, Valparasio University, USA]. Mr. K. Rajiah and Mrs A. Pooranam Rajiah couple gave birth to Mr. Chandramohan , on 19th January, 1951,[ He is the hero of this Article ].

Dr. Chandramohan's Educational Track : Mr. R. Chandra Mohan did his School education at the famous Concordia High School Nagercoil. Then pursued his under graduate studies at the S.T. Hindu College Nagercoil and passed his B.Sc[ Maths] meritoriously . After his B.Sc he pursued his M.Sc[ Maths] at the famous Raja Serfoji Government College Thanjavur and passed his M.Sc[ Maths] in 1975 with flying colours. In line with his inherent search for knowledge ,Mr. R. Chandramohan did his Ph.D on the topic " Computerization of Criminal Info System ' and he was awarded his Ph.D. degree. .
Dr. R. Chandramohan Passed his Group I examination : Mr. R. Chandramohan passed the Government of India Group I examination in the year 1975. and he was appointed as Assistant Commandant in B.S.F. [ equivalent to Assistant Commissioner of Police/ Deputy Superintendent of Police]

Dr. R. Chandramohan's Marriage and Children : While working as a Deputy Commandant in Border Security Force[BSF], Mr..R. Chandra Mohan married Ms . Prema, daughter of Mr. Arulandam and Mrs Maniammal of Elanthaiyadi Village, located near Parvathipuram in Agastheeswaram Taluk, Kanyakuamri District., in the year 1980. God blessed Mr. Chandramohan and Ms Prema Chandramohan and this couple gave birth to a daughter and a son [expired]...
Dr. R. Chandraamohan's Professional Track : Dr. R. Chandramohan began his professional career in the Border Security Force as an Assistant Commandant and rose to higher positions step by step . He was promoted as Deputy Commandant, then as Second in Command ,then as Commandant..He had the privilege to serves as Superintendent of Police [ S.P] in Odisha [ Orisa] state for nearly ten years and during that period he discharged his official duties with great devotion and distinction. Subsequently he was promoted as Deputy Inspector General of Police[ BSF].After having served in various sensitive places like Gujarat International Border , Rajasthan Pakisthan border , etc, for about 35 years he retired as D.I.G.[ BSF] in 2011.
The Awards and Medals Won by DIG.[BSF]Dr. R. Chandra Mohan : Dr. R. Chandramohan was awarded two prestigious medals during his service period in Border Security Force , India, ;-[1]Dr.R..Chandramohan was awarded the prestigious "President's Police Medal for Meritorious Service" on 14th August 2002 on the eve of Independence day , 2002.. and [2] .Dr. R. Chandramohan was awarded the" Presidents Police Medal for Distinguished Service. on 25th January 2011,on the eve of Republic day of India, 2011.

Rtd DIG [ BSF] Dr. Chandramohan and Ex Servicemen Welfare Association of Tamil Nadu: : BSF- Ex Servicemen Welfare Association of Tamil Nadu was established in 2008 to organise and channelise Ex-Servicemen's potential towards their development and welfare and to obtain maximum benefits from Central and State Government. Rtd. DIG [BSF} Dr. R. Chandramohan is serving as an Executive Member and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the B.S.F -Ex Servicemen Association of Tamil Nadu .with great distinction and he takes active interest and is doing his best for the welfare of BSF Ex Service men and their families .
Conclusion :. Rtd/ DIG [BSF] Mr. R. Chandramohan's life travel and profile will definitely galvanise the youth and specially the rural youth of this nation to reach high places and positions in life and also will teach them about the importance of education and hard work. He is a hard worker, intelligent, good administrator, He gives financial assistance to the brilliant poor students who score high marks in their SSLC and Plus Two Examinations and encourages them He is very honest, his hold on Mathematics and Computer Science deserves our appreciation and respect.. By bagging two prestigious "Presidents Police Medals "for Meritorious and Distinguished service, Rtd DIG[ BSF] Dr. R. Chandramohan had brought laurels to his family, village and Kanyakumari district. He has real concern for the economic ,educational and social development of the marginalised poor people. He is a good organiser and he is a convincing speaker. Actually he deserves one more professional promotion above DIG post, but unfortunately he did not get that promotion . He knows many Indian languages to speak . He had helped many young men from his native Village and other parts of Kanyakuamri district, to get employment in Border Security Force according to their educational qualification and eligibility. He is a honest and God fearing man It is not possible to accommodate all the chapters of his life travel within the space of this Article so I will end this Article with the following sentence, " I thank God for Rtd DIG[ BSF] Dr. R.
