Mr. N. Philip's  Wife Ms  Gnana Dhayamani and her family     : Long time ago in Charles Miller street, Nagercoil, a gentleman by name  Mr Vedamonickam was living with his lovely wife  Ms Selvam Vedamonicakm  and Mr N. Philip married Ms Gnana Dhayamani, daughter of Mr Veda Monickam and Ms Selvam Monickam couple . It would be really interesting and useful to record some lines about the family background of Ms Dhayamani Philip,  in the interest of the readers and micro historians,  Mr Vedamonicakam's father Mr John was a native of the famous Osaravilai village and as the LMS missionary  Rev Charles Mead gave 8 cents of land in Charles Miller street in Nagercoil, to Mr . John,  Mr. John shifted to Nagercoil  . Mr John  hailed from a pioneer and illustrious Christian family of South Travancore.  Ms  Gnana Dhayamani's mother Ms.Selvam Vedamonickam was a scion of the famous landlord  Mr Vellamadathu Ananchan's family  and  daughter of Vellamadathu Ananchan's son Mr Gnanakan  and  Ms Packiam  Gnanakan

Mr N. Philip and Ms Dhayamani  Philip Couple's Children   ; Mr N. Philip and Ms Gnana Dhayamani Philip Couple gave birth to the following children namely :-[1] Dr. P. Noel Kannan, B.D.S, and he is well known as a Pigeon fancier throughout India ; and he married Ms Prema kannan, M.Sc and Dr .P. Noel kannan and Ms Prema Kannan couple is blessed with two children namely;-[a]  Mr Kirubahar Philip  and [b] Ms Meera  , [2] Ms.P. Parimala Suriya , B.Sc, B.Ed  and she was married to Dr Gandhi, MBBS, [3]  Ms.P.  Usha Devi, MA  and she was married to Dr.krishnamurthy, MBBS and this couple is blessed with one daughter namely Ms  Dhivya ,and [4] Mr. P.  Selvam , B.Sc and he married Ms Shirly, B.Sc, B.Ed and this  couple is blessed with one son and one daughter namely :- [a] Mr Anish Philip and [b] Ms Pricy Anbu

Mr N. Philip's Career Trajectory   : Mr N. Philip entered the Travancore State service as Sepoy  Clerk on the 8th  November 1937 for a monthly salary of  Rs 28= on the advice of the Travancore State Service Commission  . While he was serving as Sepoy clerk he was transferred to the Education department by the Travancore Government, as an undergraduate teacher .and accordingly he joined Muvattupuzha English High School  and from there Mr N. Philip was transferred to the English High School at Marthandam and at Marthandam E.H.School  he worked for 2 months and then he was transferred to the Govt English High School  at Eraniel and at this School he worked for 7 months.  From Eraniel E H S he was transferred to the Higher Training School at Kottarakara  and here he worked for 2 months  and then he was transferred to the Government English High School at Marthandam and there he worked for 2 years . After having worked for nearly 2 years at the E.H.School at Marthandam he was transferred to the famous  S.L.B English High School at Nagercoil .  Subsequently Mr N. Philip's service  was confirmed in the Education Department. Afterwards there was no turning back in his flourishing teaching career .  Mr Philip was promoted as 2nd grade teacher on the scale of Rs 125-- 175m with effect from the 1st September , 1950 . 

He was Promoted as Inspector of School   : On the 1st November 1956  Kanyakumari District was merged with the Tamil Nadu State and as a corollary Mr N. Philip became a Teaching Staff  of the Education Department  of Tamil Nadu Government .   Mr N. Philip received an order from the D.P.I [ Director of Public Instructions ], Madras appointing him as  Inspector of Primary and Middle Schools of Boothapandy division forthwith  and so  he took charge of the appointment on the 7th September 1957. With great efficacy he was discharging his official duties.  After some years  he was promoted as H.M  and he worked as Head Master of the  Govt High School at Ayikudi,  And afterwards   Mr N Philip. B.A. L.T. worked as Head Master of the Model High School at Saidapettai, Madras, nearly for three years  [1959- 1961]  .He also had the privilege to work as Head Master of the Govt High School at Thakalay  and Mathandam.  After having done many years of fruitful  service in the Education Department  he was promoted  and transferred to Athur in  Salem district  to work as special District Education Officer [ DEO]  and he conspicuously proved himself as an efficacious  special District Education  Officer. . After having served in the field of education for more than three decades he retired from Service on the 31st May , 1970.  

Conclusion.    Mr N. Philip, B.A, L.T,  was  an intellectual and multifaceted personality;  he joined with Mr Thomaiappan B.A, LT of Carmal High School, Nagercoil  and wrote Biology Text Books for Std VI & IV Form  in   1950  These two Text Books were well appreciated by the teachers, students and parents and the books enjoyed good demand .  He was a great Tennis and Badminton player and he had the honor serving as a Committee Member of the Travancore Cochin Athletic Association in the year 1953 and  also  was a Member of Tennis Club in Nagercoil.  He was a great hunter and was an adept and accurate  Shooter . Mr N. Philip had  passed away from this world on the 4th may 1978. . He had a good mastery and command over English, Malayalam and Tamil languages. He was great Administrator, Teacher, Hunter, Author, Music lover, Sportsman etc,.  We can infer many valuable lessons from his life  he was kind, audacious, hard working , and was a good reader, he believed that a sound mind could exist only in a sound body.  . Now his children and grandchildren are doing very well in life. And his students remember  him with gratitude   Mr N. Philip's main policy and  principle of his life was not to make any enemy  I will say, Mr N. Philip, B.A, L.T, was a remarkable person and his enviable and accomplished  life  has become a  guiding  and galvanizing milestone for the younger generations and student community.

Introduction   : Educationist,  Sportsman ,Author  of School Text Books ,  and Former District Education Officer [ DEO] Sri. N Philip , B.A, L.T, was a remarkable person , and he hailed from one of the pioneer and outstanding Christian families of Kanyakumari District.  A  perusal and review of his imprints  and accomplishments in the fields of  Education,  Sports, Hunting, and Social history  will enrich the readers and the younger generation  with many interesting and useful information. He was a colorful personality;  physically and intellectually he was a very strong person  He was unassuming and composed  yet he was a dynamic personality . Definitely Mr N. Philip B.A, L.T had become a glowing and guiding milestone in the educational, intellectual,.sport  and social history of Kanyakumari District and Tamil Nadu .

Mr. N. Philip's  Ancestors   ; \ Mr N. Philip's ancestors were living in a famous  idyllic village located  on the  North of Nagercoil town  called Thittuvilai near Boothapandi [ Boothapandi is the native village of veteran Labour Leader and Politician late  Sri P. Jeevanandam ]   ] in Thovalai taluk in Kanyakuamrai District. The LMS Church congregation in Thittuvilai was established by the earnest efforts taken by the Rev C. Masillamani of Mylaudy and Thittuvilai congregation was one of the pioneer protestant congregations in Kanyakumari district / South Travancore.  Mr N. Philip' paternal grandfather late Mr Philip Deacan was one the pioneer deacons of Thittuvilai LMS Church .   Deacon Philip was living in Thittuvilai with his wife and this couple gave birth to  some children including Mr. N Philip's father Dr P. Noah. . Dr. Philip  Noah L.M.S, M.G, was serving as a missionary medical doctor at   Nagercoil,  Chemponvilai and few other places in Kanyakumari district.

Philip's  Parents and his Siblings         :  Dr. Philip Noah , L.M.S [ Licentiate in Medicine and Surgery ]-   married Ms Mariammal and both of them were remarkable people in their respective fields. It will be really appropriate to mention one information that Ms Mariammal  Noah received a medal and memento from the British Government for her outstanding social service.    Dr. P. Noah, L.M.S, M.G and Ms Mariammal Noah couple  gave birth to the following children namely:- [1] Ms. N. Kamalam and she was born on the 9th November, 1899, [2] A male child was born on the 4th August 1903 and died on the 10th August 1903, [3'] Ms N. Pichi and she was born the 15th October, 1904, [4] Mr. N. Muthu Nayagam  and he was born on the 11th October ,1907, [5] Ms.N. Erakam and she was born on the 9th February, 1910, [6] Mr. N. Philip, B.A, L.T[ The Hero of this Article] and he was born the 7th May 1912, [7] Ms .N. Grace and she was born on the 11th October , 1914, and [8] Ms. N. Lily and she was born on the 8th July, 1917. 

Mr. N. Philip's  Education    :  Mr.N, Philip had been a brilliant student since his  Primary School days. Mr. N. Philip successfully did his school studies  at the famous Scott Christian High School in Nagercoil and he pursued  his Intermediate course [FA ] at the famous Madras Christian College, Chennai . Then he  did his BA at a famous college in Trivandrum and passed the BA degree course meritoriously  and after some interval he joined a  Teachers Training College , in Trivandrum. and completed  his L.T course successfully

Mr Sathish Kumar's Sibling :  Mr .A. Monickam and  Ms  Y.Mercy couple  gave birth to a daughter also by name Ms. Shyla Jane and she was married to  Mr Ajit Nareen and  this couple is blessed with two kids namely :[1] Ajay and [2] Jaden

Mr . Sathish Kumar's Education    :   As both of his parents were working in Chennai ,Mr Sathish Kumar did his School education at the famous Nidhi Higher Secondary School, Chennai  and after having passed his Plus two examination he did his B.E[ Mechanical ] at the well known Sri Sidhartha Institute of Technology at Tumkur , karnataka  and passed his BE  meritoriously . Mr Sathish Kumar successfully did his MBA at the famous Anna University, Chennai 

His Wife and Children           : Many decades ago there lived a blessed couple in Nanjil Nadu, Kanyakumari district, by name Mr K. Thangiah , B.A, L,T and Ms Grace Jesubai Thangiah and both of them hailed from illustrious Christian families and  K Thangiah and Ms Grace Jesubai  couple's eldest daughter Ms Lally Saroja married  Mr Er Nallathambi and  Mr Nallathambi and Ms Lally Saroja couple's  daughter Ms Sheeba Malini was married to Mr. Sathish Kumar  .  Mr..Sathish Kumar and Ms Sheeba Malini Sathish Kumar couple gave birth to the following children namely ;[1] Ms .S.Blessy, M.Sc [ BioTech], and she aspires to do MBBS course  [2] Mr S. Shyam [doing 12th standard] and [3] Mr.S Joshua [  10th standard].

Mr Sathish Kumar's Professional Track   :Mr Sathish Kumar has a rich experience of 24 years  in the field of Automotive industry.. Mr Sathish Kumar  was trained in DENSO Japan at NISHO Plant -1- for one month after joining DENSO Haryana on August 1999. This was his first visit outside India.   He was also trained by DENSO Sr Trainer in South Korea - Deajung for Supplier Development for 40 days in 2001 and this was his second foreign trip.  Now he has been  working as the Head of  three Divisions  in Wadia Group  namely  : Automotive Group,- Electromags Group and the Quality Control Department. and  since  26th  March 2019 he is promoted and is working as the Deputy General Manager of the above said three Divisions of  Wadia Group in Chennai   with great dedication and efficacy .. 

Conclusion         :  Mr Sathish Kumar is a remarkable personality. He is a real  born again Christian believer and in tune with his long cherished desire  he visited Yoido Paul Yongi Cho Church in Seoul in Korea on the 9th September 2010.  He is blessed to visit USA  three times , he made his first trip to US  in 2017 and two trips  in 2018.  Now he has become an authority in Automotive industry and manufacturing , It will be pertinent to mention an important event here that " Karpagam" Academy of Higher Education in Coimbatore , a deemed University conducted a National Level Technical Symposium , " ECTRIX  " on 19th February 2019 and to this Symposium Mr Sathish Kumar , B.E, M.B.A was invited as the Guest of Honor  and Mr Sathish  Kumar graced the Symposium by his participation and presence. . Thus his expertise in automotive  industry is being recognized by famous  educational and research Institutions and Academics. . In his leisure time he and his wife  give messages  through Manam TV on general topics like " Christian Marriage" in the light of the Bible  Definitely Mr Sathish Kumar will reach still higher official Posts and Designations and bring glory to his family and the nation  . Introduction    : Former District Forest Officer  Mr. C. Thangiah , B.Sc was an illustrious son of kanyakumari District and he was a colorful personality; he reached heights   by his hard work and self motivation .   He was one of the unsung heroes of our district , he was blessed with natural leadership qualities and he was a great Athlete and  was very intelligent. . There were no big uncles in his family  to motivate him  or to  help him, yet he set his own goals  and reached his goals by his natural intelligence and  by his relentless hard work  A perusal of his fertile profile will inspire many and instil the minds of the readers with self confidence, new  goals and vision

Mr. Thangiah's Parents and Birth and sibling   :  Many decades ago there lived a blessed couple by name Mr Chokkalingam and Ms.Vadivammal Chokkalingam in a  beautiful village called Sadayankulam  near Nagercoil in  Nanjil Nadu, Kanyakuamari District and to this couple Mr Thangiah was born on the 12th July , 1922. as their eldest son . Mr C Thangiah's  one sibling his younger  brother Mr C. Poomani  served as  a school Teacher [ Mrs Arunthathi Chandran's father]

His  Education        :  Young  Thangiah did his primary school studies at the Primary School at Leepuram, located near Kanyakumari  and did his Middle School education at a Middle School at Kanyakuamari.  He  did his High School studies at the famous S.M.R.V  High School at Vadasery, Nagercoil and passed his SSLC  examination  meritoriously .  Mr Thangaiah pursued his Intermediate studies at the Maharaja's College, Trivandrum and passed his FA examination in 1942  and then he did his B.Sc at the famous Trivandrum University College  and while he was studying in the University College, the following students like  Mr Ponnappa Nadar [who later became a famous Congress Leader and   Opposition Party Leader in the Tamilnadu Assembly],  Mr Chidambaranathan [Who later became a Minister in the  Travancore Cochin State Government ]  and late justice Rameswaralingam were his friends and college mates   Mr C. Thangiah passed his B.Sc final Examination in 1944.

 

His Marriage and Children : Mr C. Thangiah married Ms Sarojini , daughter of late Sri D. Arumainayagam, B.A. L.T and Ms Nallamuthu Arumainayagam couple, on the 19th  May 1950 . Mr C. Thangiah and Ms Sarojini Thangiah  couple gave birth to the following children namely :- [1]

Ms Vanaja , B.Sc. B.Ed and she was married to  Mr  Thangadurai, I.A.S ,[2] Ms Nirmala, B.Sc and she was married to Mr. A.S. Sundar, B.Sc. B.L[ He worked as a manager, State Bank of India],[3] Ms Lalitha, M.Sc, and she was married to Mr. A. Balachandran, M.A ,[ he worked as manager at the Salem Steel Plant].'[4] Mr T. Sounderarajan [died] , [5] Mr.T. Devasudhakar,. and [6] Mr .T. Jeyakumar Arumairaj

Mr. C Thangiah's Professional Career    :   After his successful completion of his B.Sc degree course he wrote the Madras State Public Service Commission examination and successfully cleared the same  and   was selected for the the post of Forest Ranger  in  October 1945 .  So he joined the Forest College  at  Coimbatore and successfully completed his two year  degree studies . While he was a student at the Forest College at Coimbatore, he served as the Secretary of the Students Association of the  Forest College   In 1948 Mr C. Thangiah started his career in the Forest Department {Madras Government] as a Forest Range Officer and after that there was no turning back. In 1959 he was sent to Ooty for advanced Training  and successfully completed the Training . He was discharging his duties with great efficacy  and dedication and so he was getting  promotions one after another. In 1962 he was promoted as District Forest Officer. and in 1963 he was sent to Dehradun for further advanced studies and Training and he completed  this Study cum Training with flying colors. With great grit and responsibility he had been discharging  his official duties  throughout his official career till his retirement. 

Conclusion      ".   Mr Thangiah, B.Sc, served the Tamil Nadu Forest Department with great grit and integrity. He was fearless and audacious  and had arrested many who violated the  Indian Forest Policies and Forest laws of Tamil Nadu and took  strong actions for the  punishment of the culprits ..  News Papers wrote about his audacious and upright actions;  it will be appropriate to cite one event here ; while serving in the Sathiamangalam Forest area  Mr C,. Thangiah  with audacity arrested   all the persons  who  robbed the woods in the  Government forest land  and for this  audacious action the then English High level Forest  Officer Mr H..R.M. Law  appreciated him and honored  him with Cash Award..   He served in many districts as District Forest Officer with distinction  and won the appreciation of his colleagues, superior officers and the public . He had a compassionate heart and inclination  towards the  poor  and he helped many poor students with monetary help for their higher studies.  While he was serving as District Forest Officer[ D F O ] in Chengottai  in 1970, he started a Cane Society for the  cause of the poor people   Now he is no more with us but his real life story teaches the  importance of education , hard work, audacity and honesty, to the  poor youth of this Nation.  He was a competitive and competent  Long Distance Runner and he ran his life's race with  great vision and velocity and  completed his life's race successfully

Dr. Josiphus Vasanthakumar Dason's Higher  & Medical Education      :Dr. Josiphus Vasanthakumar is known for his thirst for knowledge, and accordingly after his B.Sc he moved to Pune and did his B.L.A [ Psychology and Health Education[ 1988 ]  at the famous Spicer  Memorial College. After having passed his B.L.A, he pursued his M.A [ Clinical Psychology]  in the famous University of  Pune [ 1991]. . Then he did his M.D [ Doctor of Medicine ], at the Universidad Eugenio Maria de Hostos , Santiago , Dominican republic [1997 ], . Then did his Diploma in Computer Application at the University of Satodomingo. His Work Experience  : Dr. Josiphus Vasanthakumar Dason has a colorful professional trajectory , he  worked as a Teacher at the Kotagiri Adventist School in the year 1983, and in Madurai Central Adventist School in 1984. . He had worked as a Lecturer at the Lowry Memorial College, Bangalore[ 1992--1993]. Dr Josiphus Vasanthakumar Dason worked as Medical Doctor at the famous E.I Ricon Hospital , Dist of Samanz, Dominican Republic,for three years  from 1997 to 2000.. From 2000 to 2004 he worked as Health Worker at the Spectrum Health Care, Toronato, Canada, In the year 2012 he worked as Youth Counsellor at the Avalon Children's Residence , Erin , Ontaorio. in 2016 . He started his Private Practice as Mental Health Counsellor ,  Child Care Management and Consultant for Child and Youth Behaviour Management and Addiction Counsellor

His Wife and her Siblings    ;  Dr Josiphus Vasanthakumar Dason married Ms Mary Sumathy, B.Sc [Nursing, ] CPMHN,  daughter of Mr Samuel Chelladurai [from Tirunelvelli]  and  Ms Vasantha Samuel [ D/o Pastor Moses from  Tanjore ],  on 29th December 2000. In this connection it is apt to mention the siblings of Ms Mary Sumathy Josiphus Dason .  Mr Samuel Chelladurai and Ms Vasantha Samuel Chelladurai couple gave birth to the following children excluding Ms Mary Sumathy  namely :-[1] Mrs. Metilda Riches [ works at the SDA office, Hosur] , [2] Ms Flori Maglin Divvela , M.A, M.Ed. and [3]Ms. Ebina Blessy , B,Sc[ Nursing ], MBA, and she works in Canada . 

Dr Josipuhs and Ms Mary Sumathy Josiphus Couples'  Children   :   Dr Josiphus Dason and Ms Mary Sumatahy Josiphus couple is blessed with the following children namely :-[1]Ms Shelly Jeniffer [ she is a first year student at the University of Guelph] and [2] Mr Bradley Daniel  and he is studying in a High School and he aspires to become a Clinical Social Worker . 

Conclusion    :  Dr. Josiphus Vasanthakumar Dason is a colorful and multifaceted personality . he learned Adimurai  and Silambam, these are  some famous Indian martial Arts, for about ten years from the age of 8 to 18   and  Villukuri Asan Mr. Nallathambi was his Guru[ Teacher] and Dr Josiphus had demonstrated his skills in these fields in many  places in and around Nagercoil . . Dr. Josiphus Dason  is a born sportsman and he won the title  of District Athletic Junior Champion and he excelled in the athletic events such as Long Jump, High Jump , and Triple  Jump  While he was a student at the Spicer Memorial College he was a Member of the College Choir, and College Gymnastic team and also he ably served as the Secretary of the Students Association  of the Department of Liberal Arts.  He also had the privilege to serve as the Associate  Distribution Manager of the College News Paper, "SPICERIAN".  While he was studying in the Medical college he served as the President of the Foreign Medical Students Association [ F M S A ].  Now he is a Member of the Dominican Medical Association , and also  is a Member of the Ontario Youth Care Counsellors. .  Writing  Poems , Drawing, and Singing are his main hobbies. Introduction      : Dr. Josiphus Vasanthakumar  Dason,  B.Sc. B.L.A. M.A. M.D is a multifaceted personality, his achievements in the fields of Sports, Education,  Medicine etc  deserve our attention and appreciation  Indeed  he is a colorful personality, his varied interests in Sports , Music, Indian martial arts like Silambam, Varmaniam  etc,and his unquenchable thirst for knowledge have made him, a versatile personality. He  was born at Dennispuram village that lies on the North of Nagercoil town at a distance of 5 kilometers from Nagercoil  in Kanyakumari District . Now he lives in Canada. A perusal  of his profile will galvanize the readers with new inspiration to reach better heights in life and also to lead  a better life with good values and goals.

Dr. Josiphus Vasanthakumar Dason's Parents and Birth   :  Many decades  ago  a blessed Couple by name Mr A. Dason, [ Son of  Mr Aseervatham of Vellachivilai ]  and Ms.Abaranam [ Daughter of Mr Gurubatham of Dennispuram] were living in a lovely hillside idyllic village called Dennispuram near Erachakulam village  in Thovalai talk in Kanyakumari District, and to this couple Mr Josiphus Vasanthakumar was born on15th May 1961.

Dr. Josiphuus V.Dason's Siblings   :  Pastor A. Dason and Ms Abaranam Dason couple gave birth to the following children namely :[1]Mr. Aseer Gruber  and now he lives in Canada with his wife Ms.Mallika and children  [2] Mr. Dr. Sam Daniel Dason, D.D.S and he lives in US with his wife  Ms. Greeta Pauline, B.Sc [Nursing] and children , ,[3]Mr Ponnu Raja Sahar Dason, MBA and he lives in Canada with his wife Ms. Dr. Jean Sicilla , Ph.D and children ,  [4] Mr. Dr. JosiphusVasanthakumar Dason [ Hero of this Article], and [5] Ms Juliet Saradha  Thyagaraj and she  lives  in Canada with her husband  Mr. Thyagaraj and children 

Dr Josiphus Vasanthakumar's School Education and Collegiate Education in KK Dist    :. Mr Josiphus Vasanthakumar Dason  did his Primary school  and Middle School education at the Govt  High School at Erachakulam.  While he was doing his middle School studies because of his smartness and leadership qualities , he was selected  to serve as the School Pupils Leader   He Pursued his High School at the famous S.L.B  High School in Nagercoil . While doing his studies in SLB  he had won Prizes in Elocution Competitions held in the School  Then he joined S.T. Hindu College , Nagercoil for his P..U.C and after the successful completion of  P U C he did his B.Sc [ Zoology] in the same ST Hindu College ..Mr. Joshipus  Vasanthakumar  was doing well both in regular Curricular activities and  in Extra Curricular activities.   It is very appropriate to remember that Mr Josiphus Vasanthakumar had the honor of serving as  the Secretary  of the  Student Association of  the Zoology Department of the S T .Hindu College, Nagercoil , he had won the Awards  in the Carnatic  Music Singing Competitions and also  had won many prizes and shields in Athletic competitions. Mr Josiphus Vasanthakumar  was a member of the ST Hindu College kabadi team and his college kabadi team won the second prize  in the inter-collegiate  Kabadi competition conducted by the Madurai kamaraj University at Palayamcottai .  He was the badminton Champion of the ST Hindu College.
