Introduction : Rev.Dr. T. Dayanandan Francis,  a former General Secretary of the Christian Literature Society Chennai, was a colorful and multi-faceted personality . he was a great Thinker, Writer, Author , Theologian, Lyricist and so on. However I think the present world including the Tamil Christians  are not  properly aware of Dr Dayanandan Francis  and his fruitful  and impressive contribution to the cause of Tamil Literature, Tamil Christian Literature , Journalism, Christian Theology etc,. So in this Article I am happily bound to introduce Dr. T.Dayanandan Francis  to the international readers and to the Tamil Christian Community and Indian Christian Community who are residing in various parts of the world. He is popularly known among his Friends and relatives as Dr. Daya  I am happy to remember here that I had the privilege to meet him two times  and also had the privilege to accompany Dr. Daya to Mylaudy along with some Christian friends  to see the historical Mylaudy CSI Church[ Originally Mylaudy LMS Church-, the first Protestant Church in Travancore and also the birth place of the great Tamil Christian Poets Shri . Devavaram Munshi and Shri. John Palmer  ]


                                                  
                                          Rev. Dr. T. Dayanandan Francis, Ph.D, D.Litt,.

His Fore Fathers, Parents and birth  and siblings:  Dr. Daya's  paternal grandpa Mr. Abrahm Ebenezer was a native of  a small village called "Dandukarai"  in South Arcot dist. Dr. Daya's father Mr.E. Tychicus was born at Vellore on 13-4-1903. Mr. E.  Tychicus after successfully completing his collegiate studies at Voorhees college, Velore, continued his theological studies and successfully completed the same. and served as Professor and later as Principal of Arcot Lutheran Theological Seminary , Sainiahapuram ,Vellore . It is pertinent to mention here that, like Rev E Tychicus his brothers Rev. Titus Ebenezer and Rev Yesudasan Ebenezer also served as Pastors. Rev. E. Tychicus married a modest and beautiful lady by name Ms. Grace Rajammal on 21st September 1931. Rev. E Tychicus and Mrs Grace Rajammal Tychicus couple was blessed with three sons and three daughters.  Dr . T Dayanandan Francis was born on 14th August 1932 at Ranipet. All of them were/are well settled in their respective life, it will useful to mention the fact that the famous Music Composer and  Lyricist Dr. Bakthan  Tychucus is  Dr. Daya's younger brother .

Dr T. Daya's Education: Dr Daya was a brilliant student since his childhood days.  After his School education at Voorhees High School ,Vellore  Dr. Daya  did his  Intermediate studies [FA ] at the famous American College, Madurai  [1950-1952 ] After having passed his Intermediate [FA] examination meritoriously he got admission at  the famous Pachayappan college, Chennai in 1953[ [1953-1956]  with the guidance of late Shri C. A. Joseph [ His future father-in-law] for his BA [ Hons- Tamil Litt ]  Dr. Daya got the best educational privilege to have great Tamil Scholars like Dr Mu Va as his Tamil Professors. at Pachayappa College , Chennai .  In tune with God's calling and his Parents' guidance and desire he joined the famous United Theological College for his BD [ Bachelor of divinity] in 1957. and continued his Theological Higher studies at UTC , Bangalore [ 1957- 1964 ] At UTC he had the privilege to study under world famous Thelogians like Dr. Paul D. Devanandan ,Dr, E. C. John and some others.   In tune with his thirst for knowledge he did his Ph.D in Linguistics and received his PhD on 1974. Dr. Daya also had the privilege to pursue his post Doctoral studies at the University of London , UK  and also in Serampur University, .

Daniel Packianathan Dhas and his  Wife :- Mr. Daniel Packianathan Dhas, M.A, M.Ed, has  married  Ms,Ruby , a daughter of his maternal uncle Mr. Devadhas  from Kanyakumari District . Ms Ruby Dhas is also a visionary Educationist like her husband  . Actually Ms. Ruby Dhas  was mainly responsible for the founding of the St Savio Matriculaltion and Higher Secondary School at Velacheri, Chennai  in 1987.. Since 1987 she has been serving as the Principal of St Savio Matriculation and HS School, Velacheri in an efficacious manner till  her retirement recently and now she is working as the Senior Principal and Consultant of the School. Under her wise guidance the St Savio Matric  H.S.School has been standing  as one of the best Schools in  Velacheri area ,Chennai.

Phil, M.S[ School Management].  Currently Ms Shirley Ann is working as the Principal of the St Savio Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Velacheri  in an efficient and enviable  manner; of course  with the support and  guidance of her efficient parents. His Birth and Parents : Some time ago in Nagercoil there lived a blessed couple by name Shri S.P. Daniel and Mrs. Abranam Daniel, and this blessed couple gave birth to a smart male child on 15th November 1941 and this couple christened that boy child  with a blessed name  Packinanathan Dhas.


Mr Packianathan Dhas's Siblings/ and their families  ;- Shri. S.P.Daniel and  his beloved wife Mrs Abranam Daniel . were blessed with four  lovely daughters and three  smart sons namely ;[1] Ms. D.Esther, [2] Ms. D.Jannet ,[3] Ms. D..Pushpa, [4] Mr D.Packianathan Dhas, [5] Mr.D. Albert , [6] Ms.D. Charlet and [7] Mr.D. Bennet. All of his siblings have been blessed by God and to cite some examples,I will high light the profiles of some of his siblings. Mr D, Packianathan Dhas's  eldest sister Mrs. Esther Isaac Ponniah, M.A, M.Ed, served in the education department, Govt of Tamilnadu   for many years and retired as Head Mistress of the Government Higher Secondary School, Bhoothapandi, KK dist.. Mrs Esther's husband late Mr Isaac Ponniah, M.A, M.Ed  also retired as Head Master of Government Higher Secondary School , Korahiyarai,[ Some Historians claim that Korathiyarai was the birth place of the great Tamil Poet Thiru Valluvar..]. Mr Packinathan Dhas's brother Mr, Albert  married Ms. Ramani [ a daughter of late Mr. Nallathambi, who retired as Additional  Secretary, the Government of Kerala state]. Mr D Albert  served in the Ministry of Defence, Govt of India and retired as Assistant Controller of Defence Accounts.  Mr. Albert and his wife Mrs Ramani Albert  are blessed with one intelligent son by name Mr. Arun Albert , B.E, MBA and a beautiful daughter by name Ms Anitha Vinod.

Mr. D. Packianathan Dhas's education;   Mr D. Packianathan Dhas did his High School Studies at the famous S.M.S.M High School , Suchindrum , Agastheeswaram taluk, KK Dist . He continued his education and did his PUC and B.A ,degree  collegiate education at the famous Scott Christian College , Nagercoil . He did his MA[ Economics ] at the famous University of Pune . Mr D.P. Dhas did his B.Ed and M.Ed at the prestigious Madras University He also did his M. Phil at the University of Madras.. In tune with his inner urge, Shri D. Packiananthan Dhas did his M.Th course on part time basis , at the  Dallas Bible Seminary , Dallas , USA.  His quest for knowledge is really appreciable and laudable. In short  we can call Mr. D. Shri Ananda Ranjana Doss' Education ; Mr Ananda Ranjana Doss passed his 8th std through  the Government High School, at Valparai and  his High School Studies at the famous Findlay High School , Manaargudi [ his father  Mr. J.Asirvatham also did his high School studies in the same school , long ago]. After his SSLC, Mr. Ananda R. Doss did his PUC [1960-1961].at the prestigious American College , Madurai.  Then he joined the famous PSG College of Engineering, Coimbatore, for his BE[Civil]  and successfully completed his BE degree in 1966.  After having worked at the MMDA[ later called CMDA,] for some period of time,  Shri Ananda Ranjana Doss joined the famous College of Architecture , Chennai  and successfully completed his MT.P[ Master of Town Planning ] Post Graduate degree course.   Moreover, Shri Ananda Ranjana Doss went to the United States and successfully completed one year  higher studies on Town Planning under  the prestigious Ford Foundation Fellowship Program

His Marriage:  Mr. Ananda Ranjana Doss married Ms. Vasanthy , the cute eldest daughter of Mr Israel and Mrs . Selva Packiam Israel couple, of Nagercoil on 26th May 1969  and the wedding ceremony was conducted  at the Kanamalai Estate located near Coimbatore.  Mrs Vasanthy Anand's father Mr. Israel and Mr.Anada Ranjana Doss's father Mr.J. Asirvatham were great friends. Mr. Ananda Ranjana Doss and Mrs Vasanthy Ananda Ranjana Doss couple gave birth to a handsome boy child by name A. Rajesh and a beautiful girl child  by name Ms. Reena. 

Mr Ananda R. Doss' Children : Mr. Ananda Ranjana Doss' son Mr A. Rajesh is married to Ms. Shirly and this couple is blessed with a  cute girl child  and  Rajesh  is settled in Chennai  with his family. Mr. Ananda Ranjana Doss' daughter Ms Reena is married to Er. Suresh Bennett , B.E, M.B.A, and this blissful couple is blessed with two daughters . Mr. Suresh Benett, B.E, M.B.A is working in US and Ms. Renna Suresh is living in  New York, US, with her husband and children.

Some High lights on Mr. Ananda Ranjana Doss' Professional Career:   Immediately after having passed his BE [Civil] ,Mr Ananda R Doss  joined the Public Works Department , Government of Tamilnadu as an Engineer , at Mathuranthagam, then he shifted to Slum Clearance Board , Trichy. From Trichy he was transferred  to Chennai.  When Madras Metropolitan Development Authority [ now it called as CMDA ] was formed by the Government of Tamilnadu, Mr Ananda R Doss joined the MMDA [CMDA] as a Junior Engineer and afterwards there was no turning back . After he passed his MTP  degree he rejoined MMDA  and he was promoted as Deputy Planner and since then, he was continuously working with the Chennai Metropolitan Department [CMDA] till his retirement. in 2003.  He distinctively worked with the CMDA as a Deputy Planner, Senior Deputy Planner, Senior Planner and finally as Chief Planner and  Governing Board Member of the Chennai Metropolitan Authority. He retired from active Government service on 2003.

{1]He was a Member at the famous Cosmopolitan Club, Chennai. [2] He served as Guest faculty Member at the College of Architecture, Chennai .[3] Shri Ananda Ranjana Doss served as the Chairman of the Institute of Town Planners India [ Tamilnadu Chapter ], [4]  He also served as Director of SUSTAIN [ Citizens Alliance for Sustainable Living ] in a innovative, creative and useful  manner.

Conclusion: Shri Ananada Ranjana Doss was a remarkable and outstanding visionary Town Planner. These outstanding Projects like CMBT Bus Terminus, Koyambedu Wholesale Market , Ring roads that surrounds the  Chennai city and the development of Marina beach , Maraimalai Adihalar satellite Township,  Spenser Buildings at Anna salai etc will speak and proclaim about Town Planner Ananda Ranjana Doss' visionary contribution for  the cause of Town Planning in Chennai, Tamilnadu and India . He  had gone  from this world  on 2016, but he lives  in the structures built during his tenure as Town Planner at various levels and finally  as Chief Town Planner  and Governing Board Member  of CMDA. He was modest ,  friendly, compassionate , smart,  creative , efficacious and unassuming; his absence is really a great loss to the vision and mission of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority and  Town Planning in India  .  He was really a great man .

Introduction :   A  Great Intellectual and former Chief Town Planner plus Member of Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority  [ CMDA] Shri. A. Ananda Ranjana Doss, B.E, M.T.P, was really an outstanding and visionary Town Planner in India and his mesmerizing smile had disappeared from this world once for all , he is no more with us;  but some of his  indelible memories can be read from  some of the monumental   buildings and Satellite Towns  built in Chennai Metropolitan area during his official tenure and under his official guidance and those landmark buildings speak volumes of laurels  about his Town Planning creativity and vision..  I sincerely believe  his excellent trajectory of life  and unassuming  personal qualities and traits will give  new insight and inspiration to the readers  of this Article, to accomplish  great things in life like him in their respective fields. 
The great Dramatist and Writer William Shakespeare said  , "Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them'.  But Shri Anand Ranjana Doss belonged to the second category he achieved greatness in life and profession.. By virtue of his hard work, honesty, and natural  creative intelligence  he  had become a milestone in the history of Town Planning in Tamil Nadu and India.  I am delighted to say that during 1967-1969 I had the privilege to enjoy his friendship  while both of us were staying at the YMCA Building in Trichy . He was a great Carem Board player and I used to  sit by his side  and enjoy his Carem Board  Coin striking dexterity  with great admiration.  I am delighted to say here that he was one of the remarkable Sons-in-law of Kanyakumari District.

Mr. Ananda Ranjana Doss' Birth and Parents : Many decades ago  there lived  an eligible and educated bachelor  in Darapuram, Thirupur District, Tamilnadu , by name Mr J. Asirvatham and he married a cute educated girl by name Ms. S. Davamony. Mr. J. Asirvatham and Mrs. S. Davamony Asirvatham  couple gave birth to  a cute boy child on 9th April , 1945  and this couple christened their first born boy child  with a beautiful name , Ananda Ranjana Doss [ The Hero of this Article]  Mr. J. Asirvatham was working   as a teacher and retired as Headmaster of a Plantation Higher Elementary School at Mudis, near Valparai  and Mrs. Davamani Asirvatham also  worded as teacher till her retirement. 

Mr. Ananda Ranjana Doss's siblings;  Mr. J. Asirvatham and Mrs. S. Davamony Asirvatam couple was blessed with four smart sons and three beautiful daughters namely;[1] Mr. A.Ananda Ranjana Doss, [2] Mr. A.R. Ravi Bose, B.Sc [Agri] and served as an Officer at Indian Overseas Bank[3] Mr. A. Sugu Jeyachandran [ Workded as an officer at Canara Bank] , [4] Ms. A. Kalavathy, served as an officer at New India Insurance [5] Ms. A. Thilagavathy,[6] Ms. A. Sathyavathy, and [7] Mr. A. Elliot Samson Jewahar. [  Out of these seven siblings, Mr. A.Ananda Ranjana Doss , Mr. A. Sugu Jeyachandran and Ms.A. Kalavathy had already expired ]

Mohandoss Tychicus' Education :  Mr. Mohandoss was a brilliant student throughout his student days. He did his high school studies at the Concordia Higher Secondary School  located at his home town Ambur, Vellore district Tamilnadu  After having meritoriously passed his  Bachelor degree he did his M.S [Information Technology] degree at  the famous Madras University, Chennai, and passed his MS  [IT] Post-graduation Course with flying colors.

Satya.  Mr. Mohandoss Tychicus and Mrs. Kavitha Mohandoss couple is blessed with two cute and smart daughters namely ;[1] Ms.Grace  and [2] Rachael   It is pertinent to mention here that his eldest daughter Ms Grace is a recipient of the prestigious Johns Hopkins Award for young talents from the world famous Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth .  Wise and intelligent children are really God's gifts to parents. Both Grace and Rachael are studying in US. Mr .Mohandoss Tychicus  lives  in, Miami, Florida USA with his wife and children .

His Professional career : Mr Mohan Doss Tychicus  started his professional career as a Lecturer at the famous Voorheese College , Vellore, Tamilnadu , India  and subsequently he moved to US and worked in the Information Technology [IT} departments of some  good Companies in various capacities with great distinction and devotion. After having worked in some Companies in USA, he joined the world famous Aids Healthcare Company[ AHF}, Los Angeles, USA  in August 2011. Since then there is no turning back . After two years he was promoted as Associate Chief Information Officer for AHF and in March  2017 in recognition of his devotion, innovative thinking and  efficiency,   he was promoted as  its Chief Information Officer.  At present Shri Mohandoss Tytchicus is leading the IT Department  of the AIDS HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION , Los Angeles, US in an enviable ,  and efficacious manner .

Conclusion : Shri Mohandoss Tychicus is really a remarkable Information Technolgy Technocrat He has strategized and created a Hybrid Cloud Architecture  for the efficacious operation and management of the   IT Department of the AHF. He leads the IT department of the AHF and manages the entire global operations of the IT department of AHF  . AHF currently provides medical care to nearly 350000 individuals  He is a good Christian, good son to his parents, good brother to his sister and a beloved husband to his wife and loving father to his two beloved daughters, a good human being , a  devoted IT professional and also he is a good fighter for the cause of justice . His modest and unassuming behavior  and integrity and outstanding efficiency will definitely take him to still greater heights in life . Doss Tychicus' birth and parents : Mohandoss Tychicus' parents Mr Laxmanan Swamidoss Mohandoss and Mrs Indra Mohan Doss were living at Ambur town in Vellore Distrct in Tamilnadu  and this couple  gave birth to one smart boy child    on 17th September , 1971  and this smart and cute boy child was christened as Mohandoss Tychicus in the fond remembrance of Doss Tychicus'  mother's father Rev.E. Tychicus. Doss Tychicus' parents also gave birth to a  lovely daughter by name Ms Patricia .  Mr. Laxmanan Swamidoss Mohandoss  is a native of Ambur town in Vellore  District  and was a product of the  prestigious Madras University.. Mr.  Laxmanan Swamidoss Mohandoss worked as an efficacious  Teacher at Concordia Higher Secondary School Ambur.  Mr.Doss Tychicus' mother Mrs. Indra Mohandoss is the daughter of the famous Christian theologian Rev. E. Tychicus [ Rev. E.Tychicus was a former Principal of Arcot Theological Seminary , Sainiahapuram , Vellore .] and also sister of  great Christian Writer Rev Dr.T. Dayanandan Francis[ Former General Secretary of Christian Literature Society, Chennai ].

Doss Tychicus's sibling: Doss Tychicus' only beloved sister Mrs. Particia, B.E, is an engineer . She did her school Studies at Concordia Higher Secondary School, Ambur and her B.E Engineering Course at the famous Arunai Engineering College, Thiruvanamalai.  She is married   to Mr. Raj and this couple is blessed with a smart son  by name Ebenezer Sherebah and now Mrs. Particia Raj   works in a good  company in US.
