A Forgotten Pioneer Tanjore Mission Missionary, Adopted son of the Revd Fr. C.F.Schwartz , A Pastor Who Baptised Maharasan Vethamanickam of Mylaudy, A Missionary who was Really Responsible for the Spread of Protestant Christianity in South Travancore The Revd. John Caspar Kohlhoff of Tanjore .

                                               

Introduction   :  Late Revd John Caspar Kohlhoff of Tanjore Mission was a remarkable Man of God and forgotten Missionary. The Protestant Christians of South Travancore are bound to remember the great historical part played by late Rev John Caspar  Kohlhoff of Tanjore Mission with great gratitude and indelible memories for what he had done for the  spread of Christianity in South Travancore by baptising Mylaudy Maharasan  in 1799 at Tanjore  [ C.M. Agur, B.A, Church History of Travancore, page 441 ]. On one Sunday  while preaching at the garden Church at Schwartz garden , Thanjavur, [ now it is called   CSI St Peters Church Tanjore], Rev John Caspar Kohlhoff  saw the Travancore Pilgrim Mylaudy Maharasan, who later became the real Founder of the Protestant Church in Travancore [Rev.I.H. Hacker , A Hundred Years In Travancoe, 1908,p.20]  and his brother's son  Sivagurunathan in yellow dress inside the small Church located inside Schwatrz Garden, Maharnonbu Chavadi, [later it was named as St. Peter's Church ] instantly he recognised the importance of Maharasan and after the service  Rev. J.C. Kohlhoff approached Mylaudy Maharasan and won his heart by conveying the  love and concern of Christ for all human-beings.  Subsequently after having taught about the basics of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and by the grace of God, to Mr Mylaudy. Maharasan and his nephew Mr Sivagurunathan.,Rev. John Caspar kohlhoff baptised Maharasan with a new name Vedamanickam and Mr Sivagurunathan as Masillamani . It would be appropriate to know the concise history of C.S.I.St. Peter's Church in Thanjavur . Originally this Church was a small and unnamed Church; it was founded by the Rev. Fr. Schwartz in Schwartz Garden presented to him by Tulja Maharaj of Thanjavur, located in Maharnonbu Chavadi in Thnjavur. The Rev. C.F. Schwartz was the first Pastor of this small church and served in this Church from 1770 till 1793[ Rev. C.F. Schwartz  died on 13th February, 1798]; and he was succeeded by his adopted son Rev. John Caspar Kohlhoff . In 1827 a Missionary by name Rev. Peter made some needed changes in the Church structure so as to encompass  the graves of Rev. C.F. Schwartz and his adopted son and successor Rev.John Caspar kohlhoff .   But Rev. Peter died before the completion of the construction of this Church. However this Church was consecrated on 31st January 1845 by Bishop Spencer Paul and this Church was named "St Peter's Church" after Rev Peter . As the number of believers increased  Rev. William Herbert Blake of SPG, Tanjore built a new Church near the original Church in the same compound and the new Church was consecrated on 18th October 1900.  St. Peter's Church, Thanjavur was amalgamated with the Church of South India on 27th September 1947 , and since then  this Church is being called as C.S.I. St. Peter's Church, Thanjavur. God used the baptised Mylaudy Maharasan  Vedamanicakm as a powerful tool to sow the words of  Jesus Christ in South Travancore and to win souls for Christ . A perusal of the Protestant Church History will reveal that in many ways Rev John Caspar Kohlhoff helped, guided and galvanised Mylaudy Maharasan Vedamanaicakm to be a powerful, purposeful and soul winning pioneer native  Evangelist  in South Travancoere .

The Rev.J.C.Kohlhoff's Family    : Rev. John Caspar kohlhoff was a scion of an illustrious Lutheran Christian and literary family and his parents hailed from Neuwarp, Pommerania, Europe and  it would be really useful to know some more information about the famous Kohlhoff family.. A Forefather of Kohlhoff family one Mr Caspar Kohlhoff [ Senior]  was the Burgomaster [ Master of the citizens -- Chairman of the Executive council or Cabinet]  of Neuwarp in the bay of Stetin  and he married Ms Regina Hesse the daughter of  Elias Hesse and granddaughter of the the great  German Latin Poet Eobanus Hesse [ Helius Eobanus Hessus] a great  follower of Dr. Marin Luther..   Eobanus Hesse was a great German Latin Poet of his time . Eobanus Hesse  was a student of Mr Ludwig Stippius,  a great Confidant of Dr. Marin Luther.  Helius Eobanius Hessus was appointed as Professor of Latin at an University and he took  active part in the contemporary religious, political and literary conversations and issues of his time. Mr.Helius Eobanius Hesse gave his full support for Dr. Martin Luther and the Reformation till his death in October 1540. Mr Caspar Kohlhoff [Senior]and his wife Miss Regina Hesse gave birth to 4 daughters and 3 sons and this couple's third child and eldest son Rev John Balthasar kohlhoff was born in November 1711 at Neuwarp. . Mr John Balthasar Kohlhoff studied at the Rostock Academy and Halle University till 19th September 1736, and was ordained at Copenhagen on 7th October 1736.

Rev. John Balthasar Kohlhoff Reached Tranquebar,  in  1737   : In December 1736, Rev. John Balthasar Kohlhoff along with his brother Missionaries Rev.Obuch and Rev Wiedebrock  reached London Town and stayed in London for sometime with Rev. F M. Ziegenbagen , the then Chaplain to His Majesty King George 11[ Second], till March 1737, and embarked to India with his brother missionaries  and  landed at  Madras on the 4th of July 1737. Rev. John Balthasar kohlhoff  continued his travel and arrived at Tranquebar on 19th August 1737; and he mastered Tamil quickly and preached his historical Firt Sermon in Tamil on 23rd December, 1737 and afterwards there was no turning back in his ministerial career.. Rev John Balthasar Kohlhoff's Children    : Rev . John Balthasar  Kohlhoff married twice , first he married Ms Margeretha Wilhelmina Vosges and by her he had two daughters ; and then he married Ms Petronella Thorsen [ called in Tranquebar History as Pernile Thors]  and by Ms Peronella J. Balthasar kohlhoff,  Rev. John Balthasar Kohlhoff had 3 sons and one daughter namely -[1] Rev. John Caspar Kohlhoff [ The Hero of this Article] , born in 1762,[2] Mr. Elias Eobanus kohlhoff, born in 1764, [3] Mr. Daniel Frederick kohlhoff , born in 1766, and [4] Ms Dorothea Elizabeth Borgen, born in 1768.

Rev John Caspar Kohlhoff was adopted and Ordained by Rev.Fr. Schwartz of Tanjore    : Rev. John Balthasar Kohlhoff and Rev. Fr. Schwartz were great Missionaries and great friends and were working as Missionaries in Tranquebar and in its surroundings..Rev. J. Caspar Kohlhoff son of Rev. J. Balthasar Kohlhoff was born at Tranquebar on 23rd May ,1762 [ baptised 29, May 1762.]  As per the oral agreement made between Rev. John Balthasar Kohlhoff and Rev. Schwartz , Rev. Schwartz adopted  Rev, John Balthasar's first born  male child Rev. John Caspar Kohlhoff and brought up him . Rev.Schwartz  ordained Rev. John Caspar Kohlhoff on 23rd January 1787 at Tranquebar [J. FERD. FENGER, History of the Tranquebar Mission , Tranquebar, 1863, p.318]

The Marriage of Rev John Caspar Kohlhoff and his Children  ;  Rev. John Caspar Kohlhoff married Ms Christina Magdalena Horst on the 1st July 1811 , daughter of Rev. Horst and sister of Mrs Charles Mead and Mrs William Miller . [ C.M. Agur, p. 438 ]. Rev. John Caspar Kohlhoff and Ms Christina Magdalena Horst Kohlhoff were blessed by God with all the conjugal blessings and this couple gave  birth to the following children namely : [1]  Mr. John Schwartz Adolphus Arthur Kohlhoof  on  November 5th, 1813, and   Mr John. S. A. A. Kohlhoff  entered  the Cochin Government Service as Conservator of Forests, [2] Mr. Christian Samuel Kohlhoff  and he was born on May 14, 1815 at Tanjore, [3] Ms . Sophhia Eliza Harley and she was born on may 27, 1820, ,[4] Ms Charlotte Caroline Schmitz and she was born on November 15, 1821, [5] Ms Mary Ann Elizabeth Heyne and she was born on June 11, 1823 at Tanjore . [ Mr. .Harley, Mr. Schmitz and Mr Heyne were Christain Missionaries.]. 

 

Rev. John Caspar Kohlhff  served as Pastor of St Peter,s Church, Tanjore   : The famous Danish Missionary Rev. Fr. Frederick Christian Schwartz  worked as the Pastor of the St. Peter's Chruch, Thanjavur from 1770 to 1793 . . Rev, C.F. Swartz ordained his adopted son Rev. John Caspar Kohlhoff  on 23rd January 1787 . Rev. John Caspar Kohlhoff worked as the Pastor of the St. Peter's Church at Thanjavur for a many years from 1787  till his death in 1844, with great distinction, compassion and concern for human souls . .While serving as the Pastor of this old Protestant Church  St. Peter's Church, Thanjavur , Rev. John Caspar  Kohlhoff  met Mylaudy Maharasan Vedamanickam and subsequently baptised Maharasan with new Christian name Vedamanickam ., as told in the first paragraph of this Article. 

Kohlhoff's Family's Link With South Travancore      :  Rev. John Balthasar Kohlhoff  gave birth to Mr. Daniel Frederick Kohlhoff [ Brother of Rev. John Caspar Kohlhoff of Thanjavur Mission, the Hero of this Article ], and  Mr. Daniel Frederick Kohlhoff gave birth to Mr Christian Frederick Kohlhoff [ 1810] , and Mr Christian Frederick gave birth to  Mr Charles Cornelius Kohlhoff [birth 1858  death 1909] and Mr Charles Cornelius Kohlhoff married Ms Celestina Florence Mead, a daughter  of Rev. Charles Mead and  Ms Lois Biddulph Mead[ a Daughter of great Tamil Christian Poet Mr Devaram Biddulph or Devaram Munshi and sister of Mrs. Joanna Carlotta Mead Agur ] from South Travancore[P. Babu Manoharan, Mr. C.M.AGUR, B.A and MANY OTHER MILESTONES p. 365 ] .Thus in many ways the famous Kohlhoff family of Tanjore mission  had a link with South Travancore.

Conclusion    :  Rev. John Balthasar Kohlhoff and Ms Elizabeth Pernile Thorsen Kohlhoff couple gave birth to Rev John Caspar Kohlhoff in Tranquebar on 23rd May, 1762 and after having served as Pastor of the St. Peter's Church,Thanjavur for 57 years with great dedication Rev. John Caspar kohlhoff died on 27th March 1844 and his mortal body was buried at St. Peter's Church Compound  in Thanjavur. Rev John Caspar Kohlhoff rendered valuable and timely help and guidance to his Co-Brother Rev. Charles Mead to spread Protestant Christianity in South T.ravancore. It would be appropriate to remember one important historical fact here that Rev. John Caspar Kohlhoff  sent Maharasan Vethamanickam with an introduction letter to meet Rev. Dr. John at Poreiyar and Maharasan Vedamanickam received some sound instructions and Tracts  from Dr. John [ C.M. Agur, p. 443] . Later during the second trip of m\Maharasan Vedamanicakm to Thanjavur to find a Foreign Christian missionary Rev John Caspar Kohlhoff  made arrangement for Maharasan Vethamanickam to meet the just arrived Foreign Missionaray Rev. Ringel Taube in Tranquebar [ Ibid, p. 451]. And we know these historical meetings of Maharasan Vedamanickam with Rev Dr. John and  Rev. Ringel Taube laid  the foundation of the Protestant Church in  South Travancore. Rev. John Caspar kohlhoff was a remarkable Man of God , he was a great Visionary, Social thinker, he worked till his death in 1844 for the  cause of the the Cross of Jesus Christ, he loved and respected the poor and the rich in the same way without any partiality . It is not possible to accommodate all the services  and intellectual and spiritual accomplishments of Rev. John Caspar kohlhoff within the space of this Article . He  started his career as a Technician and rose to the prestigious position of a an SF grade Senior Scientist / Engineer in the prestigious I.P.R.C and his accomplishment deserves our  applause and respect .

Mr. Er C, Singh, M.E, and His Parents and Birth    : Puliyadivilai  is an unsung, unnoticed , tiny idyllic village located in the Rajakkamangalam Block in Kanyakumari district . Puliyadivilai  is surrounded by verdant and fertile paddy fields and yielding coconut trees. In this beautiful Puliyadivilai  Village some decades ago lived a gentleman by name Mr. Sivanadiyan and he gave birth to a smart man by name Mr S. Chellappan and Mr Chellappan had been living in this pleasant Puliyanvillai village with his modest and loving wife Ms. S. Nallammal . Mr Chellappan and Ms Nallammal Chellappan couple gave birth to Mr C. Singh on the 30th May 1962.

Babu married Ms Pushppam and this couple gave birth to the following children namely :- [a] Mr. B. Prabhu, M.Com, M.B.A, M.L.I.C, [b ]Mr. B. Pratheep, , [c] Mr. B. Pratheesh, D.E.E,; [2] Mr. C. Singh, M.E [ He is the Hero of this Article ],  [3] Mr. C. Rajasekar, M.A, and he is working as the Superintendent in the Social welfare Department, Govt of Tamil Nadu. at Kurunthangcodu and he married Ms Mala  and this couple gave birth to the following children namely :-[a]Mr. R. Mr. C, Singh's Educational Track  [ First Phase ]  :  Mr C, Singh's educational track attracts the attention of the Readers with many curiosity and admiration . . Mr C. Singh did his Primary and Middle School Education in a RC Management Middle School [then] in Karangadu ,  and pursued his High School Education at the Government High School at Kandanvilai and passed his S.S.L.C in the year 1978. After having passed his  S.S.L.C, he did his  Plus One and Plus Two education at the famous Scott Christian Higher Secondary School at Nagercoil and passed his Plus Two examination in the year 1980 with high marks. . Due to his family situation he joined the Konam Government ITI  Institute and passed the Technical Certificate Course meritoriously. 

His  Educational Track Second Phase    : After having passed his ITI Certificate Mr C. Singh was selected by the ISRO and he joined Research and Development Department of ISRO as an A Grade  Technician in the year 1988. . While he was working in the ISRO as a Technician he pursued his D.M.E at the Konam Poly Technical College and passed his DME in 1994. with high marks. His natural thirst for education motivated Mr C. Singh to do Higher studies, so he pursued his B.E [1988--2002]  at the famous Govt Engineering College at Tirunelveli and passed his B.E [ Mechanical ],  in the year 2002 in First Class. , After having passed his  B.E, Mr C. Singh pursued his M.E[ Mechanical ] at the Anna University Engineering College in Nagercoil and passed his M.E,  in First Class.

Beginning of Mr C. Singh's  Professional Career  in ISRO  up to 1996      : As seen before he joined ISRO as an A Grade  Technician in the year 1988 and he was promoted as B Grade Technician in 1991 .He discharged his official professional duties with great devotion and efficiency and he was promoted as Technical Assistant in the year 1996. 

Mr C. Singh's Wife and Family   : While Mr C. Singh was working in the I.S.R.O,   he married Ms k.P. Ajitha, M.Sc, M.Ed, M.Phil, daughter of Mr. P. Kolappan and Ms Pangajam of Puthukadai Village in  December 1997 at Marthandam. Currently Ms.K.P .Ajiatha Singh is working as Head Mistress at the Government Higher Secondary School at Manikatti Pottal . It would be interesting and useful to know the fact that this Manikatti Pottakl village is the native Village of the famous Sahitya Akademi  Award Winner Mr Ponneelan . Mr C. Singh and Ms KP Ajitha Singh couple gave birth to the following children namely ;- [1] Ms. S. A. Siddhaarathini and currently she is doing her second year M.D.S, and [2] Mr. S.A. Balaji. and he is doing his Final year B.D.S, .. 

Ms K.P. Ajitha Singh's Siblings and families  : It would be useful to the Micro Historians and curious Readers to know some basic information about Ms Ajitha Singh's parents and siblings.. Ms Ajitha Singh's father Mr. P. Kolappan worked in the Veaterinary Departament , Govt of Tamil Nadu and retired as a Live Stock Inspector and Ms Ajitha Singh's mother Ms Pankajam Kolappan  worded as a Primary School Teacher and retired as a Govt Primary School Head Mistress. Mr Kolappan and ms Pankajam Kolappan gave birth to the following children namely [1] Ms Ajitha Singh ,[2]  Ms K.P. Vijila , B.Sc, married Dr. P. J. Raju, B.V.S.C, A.H,  and Dr P.J. Raju worked as a  Veterinary Surgeon in the Government of kerala, and this couple gave birth to the following children namely ;- [a]Mr. Ranjith and he is doing his 2nd year B.L,  [b] Mr.Prajith and he preparing for his NEET examination, [3] Ms Sijitha Lekha, D.E.E,  and [4] mr. Ezhil Kumar, MBA, and he is working in a Privatae Company and he married ms Prabha , M.Sc. B.Ed, and ms Prabha is working as a Teachera, Tamil Nadu Government, "Illam Thedi Kalvi" scheme and this couple is blessed with a smart girl child . 

Er. C. Singh's Professional track in ISRO from 1996 and till Retirement   : Mr. C. Singh was very lucky that he got his appointment in the Research and Development Department , I.S.R.O..  Mr. C. Singh was working as a Technical Assistant from 1990 till 2002 with great devotion and efficiency and in the year 2002 Mr C. Singh was promoted as S B  grade Engineer.in the  same Research and Development Department,.LPSC, ISRO, Panagudy. . As an innovative Engineer he loved his job and  discharged his professional duties with enviable efficiency . Official  promotions came one by one , he was promoted as S.C. grade Engineer , S.D. grade Engineer and S.E. Grade Engineer and finally as S.F grade Engineer  . Promotions propelled speed quality and contribution of his Research Activities .  In  May 2022 , SF . Engineer / Scientist Er. C. Singh retired from ISRO..

Conclusion      : Mr. Er. C. Singh, M.E , is an innovative Thinker , an eminent Mechanical  Engineer , and an unassuming  Space Scientist / Engineer.. His  love for the Space Science Research was Amazing. During his service in the very important  R & D, Department of I.S.R.O. Propulsion Complex at Mahendragiri, near Panagudy and he had done notable and lasting  contribution to the Space Research in India . He had the privilege to work in I.P.R.C., [1988--2022 ] for nearly 34 long years . As an Research and  Development Scientist / Engineer he had the privilege to work in the following prestigious  I.S.R.O. Space Projects namely , [1] PSLV Project, [2] GSLV Project, and [3] INSAT Project, Chandrayan Program, Mangalayan Project [ Mars Orbiter Mission] , Gaganyan Project [ Human Space flight Programme] ,etc,. Thus he  had given his intellectual contribution to Indian Space Research to make India a proud nation . Yet he is unassuming  and  very down to earth in his behaviour and attitudes. .Er. C. Singh, M.E, is a Recipient of the prestigious I.S.R.O Award for his research inventions. He had the privilege  to work as a Member of the prestigious  Technology Development Project [TDP ] of I.P.R.C. He played a pivotal role in inventing , " Pulse Thrust Measurement System ". Er. C. Singh is a good Human being , a great patriot, innovative scientist and a great Social Thinker . His rise from a Technician to the level of SF Scientist Engineer level was really a phenomenal accomplishment. It is not possible to accommodate all the events and aspects of his real life story within the space of this Article. So I will end this  Article with the following sentence," Er. C. Dr. Y. Richard Johnson's Professional and Social Activity Track     :  Dr. Y. Richard Johnson joined in SDA Spicer Memorial College Pune as a Lecturer , and he simultaneously worked as Assistant Dean of Mess , Attendance officer, and Transportation  Manager of Spicer Memorial College during the period from 1975 till 1980, with great devotion . Richard Johnson viewed the pathetic conditions of the Tribal People  and Tribal Schools in that region and he  arranged Vocational Training Camps and Tribal People Care Training for the Head Masters who served as the Head Masters in the Tribal Schools and the Head masters with great interest participated in these training Camps and were benefited . After having attended  the Training Camps  the Tribal School Headmasters served the  Schools with new vision, efficacy  and commitment.Thus Dr Y. Richard Johnson played a vital and conducive role for the development of the Tribal Community in the  area. in Gadchiroli District. Maharashtra state.   In recognition of his great service for the cause of the Triblal people his name was recommended for an Award to the government of by the then Collector of Gadchiroli District Mr Subrathrutho I.A.S,..  Dr. Y. R. Johnson also played a dynamic role to rescue the people of the submerged Chamarochi village from the clutches of the  flood and the  people were taken to  a temple located at the top of the hill and were provided food in the the year 1995.

Then Dr. Y. Richard Johnson Worked as Principal of Amaravati Novodaya Vidyalaya  : Dr.Y. Richard Johnson  was transferred to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya [JNV] at Amaravadi . And it will be appropriate to recollect a fact that JNV at Amarathi was the first Jawahar Navodhya Vidyalaya  started in India by then then Prime Minister of India  Sri. Rajiv Gandhi and then Mr.  Narasimha Rao was the HR Minister of Govt of India.  This Amaravati Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalaya  was started in the pattern of the Doon School in Dero Doon by  the then Chief Justice of India Mr C.R.Das .to block the cream of Indian students who were going to  foreign countries like US and Uk for higher and quality education . . It must be noted here that Dr  Y. Richard Johnson's wife Ms Lizzy worked as  Secretary to the then Head Master of the Doon School and she had the privilege of meeting Sri. Rajiv Gandhi whenever he visited Doon School his  Alma Meta . .Amaravati Novodaya Vidyalaya was the Model School for all the Navodaya Vidyalayas. in India. . While serving as the H.M of Amaravati JNV , Dr.Y.R. Johnson  with great vision started the Navodaya Old Students Association [ NOSA] and drafted the bylaws for this Association and these Bylaws were followed by all the Navodaya Vidyalayas in India as instructed by the Human Resource Development of Govt of India.  Dr. Y.R. Johnson conducted the first Regional Cultural Meet in Pune region in 1997 and the then Governor of Maharashtra  late Mr . P.C. Alexander was the Chief  Guest  of the occasion .. Dr. Y.R. Johnson organised the First School Games federation of India of the Navodaya  Vidyalayas in India and Navodaya students from all over India participated in that milestone Games Meet. . This organisation is affiliated to the Indian Olympic Association .

Dr. Y. Johnson was transferred to Atru  Baron JNV, in Rajasthan in 1999 : In the year 1999 Dr. Y. Richard Johnson was transferred to Atru Novodaya Vidyalaya in Rajasthan .  He arranged in Dause village  the SGFI  games event  and he was the Advisor for the Meet . Dr. Y. R. Johnson organised the Regional Cultural Meet and revived  a  tribal dance called Chakri dance. [Tribal Folk dance] ] He organised a Regional Cultural Meet in Jaipur in 2000  and during that time the Union Minister Ms Vasundhara Raje , M.P , was visiting her MP Baron Constituency and on the invitation of Dr. Y.R. Johnson the Honourable Union Minister visited the Atru, Baron, Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalaya and appreciated Mr Y. Richard Johnson's service  and the School very much . 

Dr. Y. Johnson was transferred to Mahi JNV  in 2002   :  In 2002   Dr. Y. Richard Johnson was transferred to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Mahi and he served as its Principal with great efficacy and enviable enthusiasm til till his retirement in 2016 . 

Dr. Y. Richard Johnson served as the Principal of IELC Public School Nagercoil   . After his retirement Dr. Y. Johnson played a vital role to start the IELC Public School in Nagercoil and succeeded in that initiative and served as the Principal of IELC Public school Nagercoil with great interest and efficacy with a  visionary spirit and retired in the year 2018 

Dr.Y. Richard Johnson is currently serving as the Secretary of the Kumari Maha Sabha  Nagercoil  : : Dr. Y. Richard Johnson is currently serving as the Secretary of the Kumari Maha  Sabha from 2018 till date with  enviable enthusiasm and great distinction It  will be really useful to say a few lines about this Kumari Maha Sabha . Kumari Maha Sabha is  a Voluntary Think Tank Collegium of Kanyakumari district , established in 2012. and has been providing many brainstorming thoughts and plans for the  total development of the Kanyakumari district and its people. ,and its  main objective is to  transform Kanyakumari district as a Model District .. From the Sovenirs and other  Literatures published by the Kumari Maha Sabha we can understand that Kumari Maha Sabha is people's voice which consists of leading intellectuals , bureaucrats, educationists, politicians and public figures like Vice Chancellors, retired Chief Secretaries, Principals, MPs, MLAs, Judges, Advocates , industrialists, researchers, Doctors, Engineers,etc,., It has branches in Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, USA, Delhi ,Ttrivandrum , Singapore and Denmark  KMS has nearly 1000 members  The Kuamri Maha Sabha is really doing remarkable service to make Kanyakumari district as a Model District  Kumari Maha Sabha is doing its best to have an Airport at Swamithope and an international harbour at Colachel etc,. Dr Y.Richard Johnson is serving the Kemari Maha Sabha with great commitment , devotion and efficacy. .

Conclusion    :  Dr. Y. Richard Johnson is really a remarkable person and an Educationist par excellence .  He had been serving the country  by imparting  education to the youth of this vast Nation and especially to the rural and tribal youth through Jawahar Navodya Vidyalas .  He took some some special effort to disseminate education to the rural youth of this naationa. Dr. Y. Richard Johnson took a special interest for the cause of a  brilliant Tribal Student by name Mr. Sham Rao Korette and provided financial help to him with the help of Honourable Srimathi Vasundhara Raje Scindia,  currently Sham Rao Korette is a Ph.D Scholar and is serving as  Professor of History in the Nagpur University and also serves as Visiting Professor for four Universities.  similarly Dr. Richard Johnson had helped a tribal rural student  Mr Om Prakash  for his higher education and in short a considerable number  of his students are shining and doing extremely very well in various walks of life as Engineers, Doctors, Defence officers, Civil Servants, Scientists, Teachers, Professors, etc,.   A Teacher is known by his Student Products  and this is true in the case of Dr. Y Johnson. Yovan in the West Lutheran Street , Nagercoil with his beautiful wife by name Ms Vethappoo and God blessed this lovely couple with all the conjugal blessings and other blessings and this couple gave birth to Mr Y. Richard Johnson on the 5th March 1948.

Dr. Y.R. Johnson's Siblings    :  God blessed Mr D. Yovan and his smart wife Ms. Vethappoo with all the connubial blessings and this couple gave birth to the following children namely :-[1] Mr. Y. Nesamoney, B.A, B.Ed and he  retired as a Head Master of a Govt Higher Secondary School and he married Ms Beula Darling Medona, B.Sc, B.Ed and she worked as a High School Teacher at the famous S.L.B. Government Higher Secondary School and retired ; [2] Ms Pushppam Rani Bai and she married Mr Michael and he was a Businessman , ; [3]  Ms. Victoria Rani Bai, and she married Mr Dhason and he is running his own Saw Mill ; [4] Mr. Y. Chelladurai and he married Ms Rotham from Trivandrum and settled in Trivandrum,; [5] Mr. Y. Willson and he worked in Nesamony Transport Corporation, Government of Tamil Nadu and he married Ms Evangeline Dorah Bai and she worked in S.D.A. E.D.Willmott Matraiculation Higher Secondary School Nagercoil,and retired ;[6] Ms Gilda Rani Bai and she married  a Businessman by name Mr Mani ; [7] Dr. Y. Dr. Y.richard Johnson's Educational Track    : Dr. Y. Richard Johnson did his Primary School education at the Lutheran Primary School at Nagercoil  and pursued his High School studies at the Concordia High School Nagercoil and passed his S.S.L.C. in the year 1965 . He did his P.U.C. at the famous Scott Christian College Nagercoil .. After having passed his P.U.C, Dr. Y. R.John did his B.L.A. at the  prestigious S.D.A. Spicer Memorial College Pune and passed his B.L.A. in 1973. Then he pursued his M.A[ History] in the Pune University and passed his M.A,[ History] in the year 1975 . After having passed his M.A. in line with his relentless thirst for knowledge he pursued his Ph.D. in  the famous Pune University and he was award the research degree Ph.D. in the year 1979 in a special Convocation held specially for him .in January 1979. It will be appropriate to remember a fact here that he successfully finished his Ph.D, in a short period of 2 years and 2 months . 

His Wedding              :  Dr. Y. Richarad Johnson married Ms Lissy  in the year 1998 in Trivandrum . Ms Lizzy Johnson was a student of Spicer Memorial College Pune .  After passing her secretarial Course she worked as a Secretary in ONGC till her death .

Dr. Y.Richard Johnso's Children     : God blessed Dr. Y. Richard Johnson and Ms Lizzyy Johnson  couple gave birth to the following children namely :-[1] Dr. Latif Rashash Johnson, M.B.B.S, M.D, and he is working as Assistant Professor in the prestigious C.M.C., vellore  [ Forensic medicine] , he married Ms Dr. Archana Juanica Johnson , M.B.B.S, M.S, and she is working as Assistant Professor [ ENT Specialist] in C.M.C; [2] Dr. Liaquat Roopesh Johnson , M.B.B.S, M.D, and he works as Professor and HOD [ Community Medicine] in Azeezia Institute of Medical Research Quilon , and he married Ms Dr. Leena Rose Johnson , M.B.B.S, D.G.O, D.N.P and she works as Associate Professor [Child Development Centre] in the same College .

Mr. J. Rolands Nelson's Professional Track         : After having passed his M.Tech[ I.I.T, Madras] as a Topper, Mr Rolands Nelson joined the Department of High Ways Govt of Tamil Nadu as an Assistant Engineer in the year 1970 and worked in Chennai , Rameshwaram, and at Highways Research Station, Chennai with great efficacy and in 1979 he was promoted as Assistant Divisional Engineer and he worked at the Research Station as Soils and Foundation Engineer with creative distinction . In the year 1981 his application for Leave was sanctioned by the TN Govt and he went to Saudi Arabia and worked as Construction Engineer in M/S Johnson and Brothers company in Riyadh and Beeiah Consulting Engineers , Riyadh and returned to India in 1986. .In 1986 he rejoined in the Department of Highways , Tamil Nadu Govt and worked as A.D.E. at Tindivanam, Villupuram district.. During the years 1990- 1996 he worked as Assistant Divisional Engineer at various offices in Chennai. with great innovative devotion. In 1996 he was promoted as Divisional Engineer and worked at various Divisions at Arakonam, Thirucvallur, and Chengalpet,  constructing Roads and Bridges and Rail over Bridges. . In the year 2001 he was promoted as Superintending Engineer and looked after the maintenance of all Roads in 5 Districts namely Chennai, Chengalpet, Turuvallur , Vellore and Tiruvannamalai.. In 2002 Mr Rolands Nelson was promoted as Chief Engineer and worked in Chennai with great innovative devotion and distinction and retired on 31 august 2003. After his Retirement he worked as a Consultant  for propagating Modified Bifemen  for Ooms Polymer Pvt Ltd, Holland  for nearly three years [2003--2006] ... After superannuation.retirement The Tamil Nadu Government appointed him as Consultant [ Full Time] for Tamil Nadu Road Development Company in  Chennai in Charge of Chennai Ennore Manali Roads Improvement Project [Rs 600 crores Project].and he discharged his official duties with enviable efficacy and integrity..

Mr Rolands Nelson as a Philatelist     : Since his School days at Pasumalai ,Mr Rolands Nelson has been collecting Postal Stamps but   a gift Packet of Stamps presented to him by his Uncle Mr . Moses , [ Father of Dr. Christopher Nesamony, Nagercoil ] inspired and galvanised him to become a devoted Philatelist . He started to collect various kinds of Postal Stamps with great interest and  within a short span of time he became a great Philatelist. He regularly  participated in the State and National level Philatelic  Competitive Exhibitions with Exhibits on Bridges, Gandhi, Christmas, Olympics, Columbus .Performed First day Covers of India [1947--1975], Madras Postal history,  country collections  of India , Russia, Japan and Papua and New Guinea, 

His Memberships           :Mr Rolands Nelson is a member of the following important Philatelic Associations and Bodies  namely ;-[1] He is a Life Member of Philatelic Congress of India , [2] he is a Life member of Karnataka Philatelic Society and [3] is a Life Member of South India Philatelists Association and[4] currently Mr. Rolands nelson  is the Vice President of South India Philatelists' Association [ S.I.P.A ]from 2018  after having served SIPA as its Secretary during 2010--2018.

Mr Rolands Nelsons' Achievements : Mr Rolands Nelson  had the privilege to serve as Member of the Philatelic Advisory Committee [2009- 2015],[ in Charge of approving Postage Stamps to be issued], Dept of Communications , Govt of India , [2 He served as the Principal Jury at Competitive Exhibitions held at Coimbatore , Thanjavur, Trichy and Cuddlore during 2010- 2023.

His Career as an Author and Editor      : Mr Rolands Nelson had the privilege to serve as the Editor of the SIPA Bulletin from 2000-2018. He had authored a  Book [ 48 pages] in coloured art paper , titled ," Stamp Collecting for Beginners" to inculcate awareness of the hobby of Stamp collecting among School students.  He has authored an iconic Book [ 280 pages] , Library edition, in colour and in art  Paper, titled, " Princely States of India- A Philatelic Review  " about the stamps and postal stationary of erstwhile forty three princely States of India during the period 1870- 1950 . These 43 states were the only princely states who had their own postal service within their state  among around 800 princely states. . This masterpiece of Mr. Rolands Nelson  was released in April 2023 at the event conducted in the Anna Centenary Library , Kotturpuram, and the function was well attended by many Philatelists and  stamp Enthusiasts  . According to Mr Rolands Nelson , "Stamps are the windows to the world" . This book narrates the evolution and history of Stamps in India's princely states . Postal Stamps were brought to the Indian subcontinent by the British. and they were the first to  print Postal Stamps .Definitely this Book is one of the best Book written about the history of  Postal Stamps in India's Princely States. .

Conclusion   ;  Mr. Rolands Nelson is a really one of the great Philatelists of India today, and he has collected nearly a Lakh Postal Stamps . His Postal Stamp Collection covers various subjects, places, periods and persons and he exhibits his Postal Stamps in the national and state level Stamp exhibitions. This year also he  participated in the National Philatelic Exhibition held at New Delhi and exhibited his wonderful and rare collection of Stamps in the exhibition and Mr Rolands Nelson was awarded , SILVER medal in the Exhibit Class: Literature Class, Title : Princely States of India - A Philatelic Overview.  Mr Rolands Nelson is not only a great lover of Postal Stamps but also  an ardent Student of  the History of the Postal Stamps and he  wants to inculcate Philately in the minds of his countrymen and particularly young students. Currently he lives in Chennai . He is a great, creative and innovative Civil Engineer , The roads constructed under his supervision and the Bridges built under his plan and guidance play an important and commanding  role in the economic development of our State and nation.  He is an Intellectual and a great student of  the History of Postal Stamps.He is a relentless Hard Worker , Able Administrator, Unassuming, God fearing and a creative Thinker. . It is not possible to accommodate all the aspects and chapters of his prolific life within in the space of this Article.. Mr Rolands Nelson's Parents and His Birth    : Mr Rolands Nelson's native place Kumarapuram Thoppur, Agatheeswaram taluk in Kanyakumari district, is a beautiful  and historical and famous village and this village is surrounded by ever green coconut gardens[ Thopu] and it will be appropriate to remember one useful fact here that the great Youth for Christ  Evangelist and Christian Lyricist late Mr. Prakash Yesudian was a native of this village and a second cousin of Mr Rolands Nelson.  Mr Ronalds Nelson paternal grand father  by name Mr Nesamoney  lived in Kumarapuram Thopur with his beloved wife by name Ms Packiam . Mr Rolands Nelson's maternal grandfather Mr Vedamanickam Shroffe lived in Puthalam village, near West Manakudi village, with his loving wife by name Ms Lizzie Janet. Mr Vedamanickam Shroffe served as an Excise Inspector .  Mr Nesamony and Ms Packiam couple gave birth to Mr Johnson in 1922. Mr.Johnson served in the Southern Railway and settled  in Madurai after his retirement.  Mr. Vedamanicakm of Puthalam and Ms Lizzie Janet couple gave birth to  Ms Melli Packia Bai[1922--1996] . Mr Johnson married Ms Melli Packia Bai  and she worked as Sewing Mistress at the Women Welfare centre , Southern Railway, Madurai, Mr. Johnson had 3 sisters   Mr Johnson and Ms Melli Packia Bai couple gave birth to Mr Rolands Nelson on the 24th August 1945 .

Mr Rolands Nelson's Siblings   : Mr Johnson and Ms. Melli Packia Bai couple were blessed with all the conjugal blessings and this couple gave birth to the following children namely:- [1] Mr. Rolands Nelson,[ The Hero of this Article ], [2] Mr. Clement Batten  and he worked in B.H.E.L, Trichy and settled in Madurai after retirement, [3] Mr Sargunam, B.Sc and he served and retired from  Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd, Trichy and settled in Chennai with his children , [4] Mr Sundar, B.E, [Mechanical Engineering] and he worked in Kolar Gold Fields Mysore state , Steel Plant at Jamshedpur and Singareni Colleries Company Limited , Telegana and settled in Chennai with his daughter. 

Educational Track of Mr Rolands Nelson   :   Mr Rolands Nelson did his Primary School Education [ classes 1 to  5] at a Primary School at Sooramangalam , Salem and did his Middle School education [6--8 classes] at the Government Middle School , Kumarapuram Thoppur , Kanyakuamari district. He pursued his High School studies at a High School at Pasumalai , near Madurai. After having passed his S.S.L.C, with very high marks he did his P.U.C, at the famous American College , Madurai  and passed his PUC in 1961 meritoriously .Then he pursued his B.E [ Civil ] in the prestigious Thiyagarajar College of Engineering Madurai and passed his B.E [ Civil ] in the year 1967 in First Class . While he was doing his B.E. in the Thiyagarajar College of Engineering he worked as a Part Time Instructor in N.C.C, during 1963--1965 [ Chinese War Years ],after having Training as Warrant Officer and with N.C.C, B & C, Certificates .. After having passed his B.E,[Civil ] with flying colours Mr Rolands Nelson pursued his M.Tech at the prestigious  Indian Institute of Technology , Madras and he stood First  in I.I.T, Madras in the Branch , Foundation Engineering -1969. 

Mr Rolands Nelson's  Wedding with Ms A. Caroline  Rajakumari :  Mr. Rolands Nelson married Ms A. Caroline Rajakumari , B.A ,  daughter of Mr. Appavu John [ Retd Thasildar] and Mrs Mabel Bai. on the 19th October 1970 at the historical C.S.I.Mateer Memorial Church, Trivandrum Mrs Caroline Rajakumari R. Nelosn's maternal grandfather  late Mr. V. Jebamony was a well known First Grade PWD Contractor, in Travancore  and  many stately Government Buildings in Trivandrum stand even today as testimonies to the honesty and efficacy of Contractor late Mr V. Jebamony.

Mr .Rolands Nelson's Children   :  God blessed the connubial life of Mr Rolands Nelson and Ms A. Caroline Rajakumari , and this blessed couple gave birth to the  following children namely :- Mr. Fleming R. John , B.E and he is doing his Financial Business successfully as DSA [ Direct Selling Agent] for Axis Bank with Offices at Chennai , Madurai and Coimbatore ,[2] Mr Litjins  R. John , B.E, and he is working as General Manager with Khivraj Motors , Chennai in Charge of Sales and Service of Honda Unit in Chennai and [3] Ms.Dr. Christeffi Mabel , M.D.S, and she  after having passed his B.D.S, at Thai Mookambigai Dental College Chennai she pursued her M.D.S, at the famous Ragas Dental College , Chennai and passed her M.D.S,  as a Topper . Currently she is working as Head of the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology in the Chettinad Dental College, Chennai ..

Introduction  :  Bishop of Integrated Union of Anglican Diocese, k.K. District Most Rt. Rev. Dr. S. Immanuel, M.A [ English], M.A, {History], M.A,{Tamil], M.Ed, M.Sc[ Psych], M.Div, Hon. D.D, Hon. D.Min, P.G.D.C.A, D.M.R.Sc, Ph.D,  is a remarkable personality . He is a great Teacher, powerful Preacher, earnest Evangelist, relentless Social Thinker,  Humanitarian,  Lyricist, Writer, and Pastor . His real life story, his quest for education, knowledge and spiritual enlightenment will definitely enlighten and galvanise the readers of this Article with new thirst for spiritual regeneration, intellectual enlightenment, social emancipation and educational progress..

Rt. Rev. Bishop of I.U. A.C, K.K. Dist Dr. S. Immanuel 

Dr. S. Immanuel's Parents and Birth      :   Dr. S. Immanuel's native place Puliyanvilai is a beautiful  idyllic village located in Thovalai Block near Mathavalayam in Thovalai taluk , kanyakumari district. This pleasant and enchanting Puliyanvialai village is surrounded by fertile paddy fields, ever green coconut trees and lovely ponds and pools . In this beautiful Puliyanvilai village there lived a smart and industrious  Agriculturist by name  Mr. E. Subbiah with his beloved and cute wife  Mrs Marthal Subbiah and God blessed this lovely couple with all the connubial blessings and this Couple gave birth to Dr. S. Immanuel on the 13th July 1944. Mr. E. Subbiah was a converted Christian and his father was a rich Land Lord .

Dr. Immanuel's  Siblings     :  God blessed  Mr. E. Subbiah  and Mrs. Marthal Subbiah couple  with all the conjugal blessings and this couple gave birth to the following children namely ;-[1] Ms. Yesuvadial and she married Mr Moses and he served in the Indian Army and this couple is blessed with the following children namely :-[A] Mr Thennarasu and he worked as a Technician in Saudi Arabia and he married Ms.T. Arul  Jothi [ House wife] and this couple is blessed with the following children namely :- [a] Ms. T. Kethzial Sunil [ B.Sc Nursing] and she married Mr. Sunil, DME, and this couple gave birth to the following children namely Master  S. Shijon Johan and Master S. Prince Theoden  [b] Mr. Josephath, DME, [c] Mrs. T. Hepzibah [ B.Sc. Nursing]. and she married Mr. Mathan[ B.Sc  Nursing] and this couple is blessed with a child by name  Ms Ivana Joy Bethani,  [B] Ms Evangeline and she married Mr Yesu Dhas [ late] and he retired as an I.T.I. Principal [Govt] and this couple is blessed with a son by name Mr. Kamal, and a daughter by name Ms Malar [ Physiotherapist]  , [2] Mrs. Abiranam Subbiah and she married Mr Subbiah and he served as a  Village Officer, Govt of Tamil Nadu  and this couple gave birth to three children namely :-[a]  Mr Ezhil Arasu ,M.Com and he worked in the Indian Bank and retired as a Chief Manager, Zonal Office , Tirunelveli  and he married Ms Geetha, B.Sc, [Home Maker], and this couple gave birth  to a daughter by name Ms Ms. Sunitha, B.E, and a son by name Mr. Manoj, B.E, and both of them are working as Engineers in Chennai,  [b] Mr. Babu , M.Sc, B.Ed and he is working as a B.T.Assistant in a Govt High School, he married Ms. Baby, and this couple  is blessed   with two cute daughters, and [3] Ms. Lalitha, B.Com, and she married Mr. Suresh, D.M.E, , and this couple is blessed with the following  children namely:- Mr. S.S. Suriya, B.E, and Mr S. Chandra Prakash, [B.E, Final year  } ;  [3] Dr. Rev. Immanuel [ The Hero of this Article ];[4] Ms. Sarabai  and she married Mr. Thangappan[late] and he worked at the B.H.E.L, Trichy as a Senior Technician and this couple gave birth to Ms. Helen  Pushpa, B.Sc and she married Mr. Er.V. Perumal, B.E[ Hons], M.B.A, and after having served in the Electricity Board Dept, Govt of Tamil Nadu for some decades with great efficacy he retired as an Additional Chief Engineer, T.N.E.B,Govt of Tamil Nadu; and this couple gave birth to three smart daughters  namely ;-[a]  Ms. P. Vinu Priya, B.E,  and she married Mr T. Kishore, M.E, ,[b] Ms.P. Sunitha, M.E, and [c]  Ms P. Dharini, B.E, she married Mr.T. Muzammil, B.A,,and  [5] Late Mr. S. Bhaskaran. B.A,.  and his only son. Rev. Benny Martin , M.B.S, married Ms Lavine Sharon and this couple is blessed with a cute daughter by name Ms. Benita Sharon,.

Dr. Immanuels'  Educational Track   :  Dr. S. Immanuel did his Primary School Studies at the Govt Primary School at Mathavalayam , and did his Middle School education at the Thovalai  Government Middle School and while he was doing his 8th Std, Mr S. Immanuel contested for the Post of School Pupil Leader and defeated his opponent with thumbing majority. and as a result he became very popular among the students. He did his High School Studies at the SLB High School Nagercoil and Thazhakudi Govt High School . Dr. S. Immanuel pursued his P.U.C. at the famous Lekshmipuram Arts and Science College, K.K. District.. After having passed his  P.U.C. he did his B.A[ History]  at the famous Scott Christian College, Nagercoil [ 1966- 1969 ]. Dr. S. Immanuel  did his B.Ed  Course  at the famous V.O.C Teachers College Tuticorin and he was elected unopposed as the  College Students Chairman and during this period he had the privilege to preside over a meeting addressed by the veteran Congress Party Leader and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu,Sri. K. Kamaraj.  Through Correspondence courses  Dr. S. Immanuel  passed his M.A[ English]. M.A[ History], M.A[ Tamil], M.Sc,{Psychology], M.Ed [ Annamalai University] etc,.   Moreover the Jerusalem University conferred the D.D [ Honorary] and D.Miv [honorary] degrees on Dr. S. Immanuel . Dr. S. Immanuel was awarded Ph.D. degree  by  Jerusalem University.

Dr. S. Immanuel Started his Teaching Career   : After having Passed his B.Ed  Dr. S. Immanuel moved to Chennai in search of employment  and worked in Ayanavaram Turtorial College as a Teacher for a few years. In the year 1972 Dr.S. Immanuel got  a Teaching job as a  High School Teacher at the famous Sree  Thiruvoteeswarar Free  High School in  Chennai and he worked as a High School Teacher in this School for four years [ 1972-- 1976]. He left this job after his marriage. .

Dr. S. Immanuel's Wedding      :  Dr. S. Immanuel married Ms  Y. Devanesam , daughter of Mr Yoel on the 21st January 1976 at Kumarapuram , kalkulam taluk ,Kanyakumari district.  Ms . Devenesam is a qualified Staff Nurse and  hails from a good Christian family in Kanyakumari district . God Blessed this couple's life  with all the blessings.

Dr.S. Immanuel's Children    :  God blessed Dr. S. Immanuel and Mrs. Devenesam Immanuel couple with all the conjugal blessings and this couple gave birth to the following children namely:- 

Er. I. Alexander Noel Suresh and His Wife and Children .

[1] Mr. Er. I. Alexander Noel Suresh , M.E , M.S [U.K] and currently he is working in London and he married Ms. Dr. Ponmalar, M.B.B.S, and currently she is working as  Medical Doctor in U.K and also doing her M.D in U.K and this couple is blessed with two cute daughters  by name  Ms. Lydia and Ms. Lynda .

             Mrs. Anita Merlin Pevinson and her Husband Mr. Pevinson and their Children 

[2]  Ms. Anita Merlin Pevinson , M.E , [Ph.D] and she is working as an Assistant Professor in the famous Sathyam Engineering College . Ms Anita is married to Mr Dr.. P. Pevinson , B.E, M.B.A, Ph.D and this couple is blessed with  two smart Children  by name Mr. P. Paul Samuel and Miss P.Pauline Geona.

[3]Mr. Er. I. Marshal Joel Sudhan , M.Tech  and he worked for some years in U.S.A and currently he is working in Infosys, Bangalore . He married Mrs Nancy , B.B.A,, and this couple is blessed with a smart son by name Mr. Manuel Natan. 

                                    Dr. S. Immanuel's Bishop Ordination  Service 

 Dr. S. Immanuel was Ordained as a Bishop  on 30th November 2019   :  Dr. S. Immanuel since his Collegiate  days  has been doing  evangelical work for nearly five decades with great devotion and enthusiasm. He started his Christian Ministry as a Student Christian Leader.  To propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ effectively he studied M.Div at the Ebenezer Theological College[ Affiliated to I.A.T.A ] , K.K. district and passed his M.Div in First Class in the year 2008. Moreover Dr. S. Imamanuel worked as a Professor at the Ebenezer Theological College for nearly five years, In recognition of his  Theological Education, Bible knowledge  and passion for evangelical work Dr. S. Immanuel was ordained as District Bishop of I.U.A.C. Diocese, Kanyakumari Dist,  in the Ordination Service held at Nagercoil on the 30th November 2019 by the Moderator of the Integrated Union Anglican Churches  Most Rt. Rev. Nallasami,  in the presence of Bishop Rt.Rev. kalyanasundram and three more Bishops.  Since then Most Rt Rev. Dr. S. Immanel has been functioning as the District Bishop of the Integrated Union of Anglican Diocese, Kanyakumari District with great devotion, distinction and efficacy..

Dr. S. Immanuel is A Writer and Lyricist  ; Dr. S. Immanuel is a creative Writer and has written the following books namely :-[1] Athma Geethangal [in Tamil in 1992], [2] The Birth of the Redeemer in Tamil and English [ 2010 --2012 , [3]   The Last days in Tamil, [2013] , [4] A Meaningful Christian, in Tamil [ 2014], [5] Siluvaiyil  Pooththa Eazhu Malarkal in Tamil [2016] and [6] VCD --ACD-- Jeevanatham Songs in Tamil [ 2016 ]. Moreover during the period from 1972 to 1976 he was staying in a room at the Christian Arts and Communication Centre , Chennai and then Dr. S.  Suvisheshamuthu  was serving as the Director of Christian Arts and Communication Centre in Chennai  .During that four years Dr. S. Immanuel wrote many Christian Dramas Scripts and Christian Tamil Lyrics for  Christian Arts and Communication Centre and these Dramas  were  broadcasted  in the Vanmalr Radio from Sri Lanka and Addi Sababa; and out of these Dramas some of his Dramas were brodcasted by the All India Radio, Madras. His Dramas won the  applause and appreciation of many . After his marriage he left Madras to join with his wife who was working as a Staff Nurse in Saudi Arabia.

Conclusion     :  Most Rt. Rev. Dr. S. Immanuel , M.A[ English], M.A, {history, M.Div, P.G.D.C.A, D.M.R.Sc, Ph.D is a remarkable man .  After his marriage he went to Saudi Arabia, and worked there  in the famous Fakhry Hospital, Alkhobar,  as Medical Secretary for some decades with great distinction  till his  return to India in 1990.  After his return to India in 1990, Dr. S. Immanuel started a Primary School by name, "Immanuel English School" at his native village and this school functioned successfully for five years [ 1990 to 1995] and then it was closed.  Dr. S. Immanuel in 1995 once again went to  AlKhobar ,Saudi Arabia and worked as Medical Secretary at the famous Fakhry Hospital Alkhobar  with great enthusiasm and efficacy. till his return to India in 2006.  Dr. S. Immanuel has the special knack to move with all types of people with great friendliness . It will be appropriate to mention a fact here that Former Principal of S.T. Hindu College Dr. Nagalingam was a classmate of Dr. S. Immanuel at the Govt High school at Thazhakudi, and Dr.Nagalingam, M.A. Ph.D, is a life long close friend of Dr, Immanuel.  Likewise Former Principal of Scott Christian College and the current District Secretary of the Thiruarul Peravai, Dr. James R. Daniel, M.A, Ph.D, is also a close Friend of Dr. S. Immanuel. Currently Dr. Immanuel is  working as  Knayakumari District Convenor of Thiruarul Peravai's Youth Wing . Even today he functions as an energetic young man and he travels and meets people and churches and gives Gospel message with relentless enthusiasms and also meets Students and gives good Motivational talk to them. His natural interest for Evangelical work is being enthusiastically supported by his pious wife, Ms Devenesam Immanuel . Now he is serving the Lord Jesus Christ as a District Bishop of Integrated Union of Anglican Diocese, K.K. Dist . He is a an excellent Counsellor and gives useful Counselling to the people  and consoles them. There are some Prayer Cells under his administrative control and  he gives much importance to Prayer Ministry. Now he runs  his own  Christian Arts, Communication, and Education Centre at his own place at Cholapuram village and this Centre plays a vital part in imparting Education, general Knowledge, self Confidence , and Spoken English to the old People and Students. . Dr. S. Immanuel had the privilege to visit and stay in UK for nearly five months and during his stay in U.K, Dr. S. Immanuel had the privilege to preach the gospel of Christ  in some famous Churches in U.K. namely ;-[1] Elohim Four Square Gospel Church, London [2] English Methodist Church ,London [3] Good Shepherd Jesus  Christ Christ  London  [4] Bethel International Church , London . [5] London Hill  Song Church, London, etc,.. God has kindly blessed Dr.S. Immanuel with all the blessings written in Psalm 128.  It is not possible to accommodate all the aspects, chapters and accomplishments of Dr. S. Immanuel within the space of this Article. I  will end this Article with the following sentence, "Dear Dr. S.Immanuel is a Self Made Man, a Servant of God, a great Educationist and Evangelist and we thank God for him and  we are proud of him"
